RendeR, I've got this sneaking suspicion that you are the Magistrate/Duke in this game. Pull the trigger, move this vote, you won't regret it.
You'll be a legend. Do it. |

AC, Eagle - are one of you here to bring me my final dinner? I'm still waiting on a call from Governor RendeR to keep the fun going one more day.
Just in case the call isn't coming, I'll have pancakes with maple syrup, strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. |

This will be my 89th post - about 25 of them have been after one of my wolf teammates sent my a PM saying "please stop - you are giving away too much!". I would imagine that person had kittens when I suggested that I would give away a wolf if the Duke keeps me around another day.
Mr. Unnamed Wolf - you know who you are - yours is the name I'll give away if given the opportunity. |

Oh and I would be completely willing to see if hoops would reveal a wolf if the Duke uses his power today, as long as I'm not the one duked. 100% village. I think THAT would make the game interesting.

Up to post 127 with the recap, will quote this and continue later. On my work laptop at home right now and can;t stand typikng on a laptop for all this time.
1. path12 2. hoopsguy (59) first to announce not the alpha (edit: raised an eyebrow, even more so now- obviously) (107) give first to be scanned list of himself, BK, CR, cronin, path, saldana and pass (116) says he doesn't think his whole list is clear (118) says there is no way he would pick BarKeep is he was the alpha (Edit: messing with us or serious?) (120) says probably 3 or 4 wolves 3. saldana 5. ArlingtonColt (99) checks in as villager 7. RendeR (96) checks in as villager 8. jeheinz72 (103) says no PM, villager checking in (123) theorizes about alpha choice strategy 9. oliegirl (97) checks in as ordinary villager, as usual (105) says mass reveal worked well last game (Edit: for those of you who didn't get killed night one ) 10. DaddyTorgo (115) says maybe hoops is alpha trying to throw us off (Edit: looks like a nice read on at least the wolf level, or entire level if hoops is the alpha) 11. Antmeister 12. Chief Rum (91) says that lack of PM means he is ordinary villager 13. EagleFan (71) response to ntn's post with not sure about why checking in alive but sure I want to know when I can vote for cronin 14. RealDeal (90) asks when to find out about rules (104) checks in as villager (106) says mass reveals wouldn't really work in a vanilla WW game like this 15. ntndeacon (70) why are we checking in and pretending to be alive? (88) outlines list of how he would chose if he was alpha (110) quotes hoops' list and not surprised if one from list is a wolf 16. Barkeep49 (79) considering myself villager then (93) responds to RealDeal that no PM = villager 17. Passacaglia (83) asks if alpha has submitted choices (Edit: to throw off suspicion?) (101) says no PM, plain villager (Edit: in case we didn't get it earlier...acting?) (108) wonders how many wolves, suspects 3 (109) says alpha wouldn't want vets (Edit: hmmm) (127) votes PB |

Granted, it could make the game interesting if he really gave up one of hiw wolfmates but who really believes that he would do that? If we duke to the wrong person than we lose a villager by lynch, possibly another tonight via attack and then who-ever he give up. That's possibly 3 villagers lost to one wolf, 4 if he ends up being the brutal wolf.
Granted, if he actually gives us a wolf, that's a 2 for 2 exchange, maybe even 3 wolves to 1 villager if the duke, whoever that may be, dukes correctly tonight. Interesting discussion at least. |

Or the Duke could switch to another wolf, and I would give up the third one. Game, set, match? Nothing ventured, nothing gained? Either way, if the Duke was going to make his move it has to be in already. |

Back. Spent 3 hours and lost my $20 buy-in for the game. I don't even know why I play.
Do I even need to count votes? The end result is complicated and interesting. Give me a minute... or fifteen.

Think somebody stepped up to the plate and duked it off of you Hoops? That would be legendary. It would rank up there with things like Lathums play in your Egyptian game where he made Blade explode and tricked the village into thinking he was good.

Day 2:
You are all in unison after ntndeacon says that hoopsguy is an infected villager. You input your data into Neon Chaos. In a few moments, you are about to find out the truth.... ...or so you think. ArlingtonColt quickly shouts out. "OVERRIDE! CODE 8675309! Select specimen: EagleFan!" Neon Chaos buzzes and whirs. The monitors light up. OVERRIDE CODE: MAGISTRATE. 8675309 - J.E.N.N.Y. CODE ACCEPTED. The obelisk appears, and the beam shoots out. Eaglefan is quick, however. He grabs Passacaglia and they both get stunned. Neon Chaos is unable to distinguish between the two bodies, as Eaglefan clutches on to Passacaglia's neck. They are taken into the chamber. A flash of light, and it is over. DEGENETIZATION COMPLETE. ANALYZING PARTICLES. ERROR. ERROR. DILUTED CELLS. SPLITTING GENOMES. 15% CHANCE OF IDENTIFYING INDIVIDUAL GENOMES. SUCCESS. GENETICS CONFIRMED. ANALYSIS COMPLETE. SPECIMEN ANALYSIS: WOLF VIRUS CONFIRMED. SPECIMEN ANALYSIS: PROJECT - VILLAGER CHAMBER RECHARGING. EST. RECHARGE TIME: 13 HOURS. You are all stunned at this turn of events. It seems that EagleFan was quite the brute. And Passacaglia was nothing more but a villager. You eye hoopsguy, ArlingtonColt, and ntndeacon. What a day... Night 2 Begins: Actions are due at 10 AM CST

Arlington, you chose ... wisely.
I'm guessing I'll be the one in charge of the kill for this evening. After I get a chance to see if that goes well I'll hand over the wolves. Neon, will you allow Nightfall on the votes? I'm guessing people will vote for me tomorrow and then figure out how to proceed with the wolf I offer up. I'm fine with another day of answering questions, but I'm guessing a few other people are less than amused after today. Even if the ending was freaking great, in a drama sort of way. |

FTR, Pass being good only increases the odds that I think DT is bad if Hoops is the alpha.

Shucks. Tomorrow is the day when I have a lot of free time at work and would love to have something useful to do in the thread. Oh well. Guess I'll have to work on the rules to my game since it seems like it might be needed sooner rather than later.

Man, I would have been so stoked if Arlington had chosen Barkeep instead. He is clearly playing very differently than his usual game, despite being a villager. But no, he has to choose the wolf that I was going to give up anyway and now I have to sell out someone that I didn't really want to in the first place.

After the game I would like to find out what I did different. I thought I was staying on course, even doing the recap like I did in my first game. I thought the only differences were not asking as many questions but I figured that wouldn;t make sense since I have now played before. Oh well.... very good call AC. I tip my hat to you. Go wolves. |

Wow, AC, ballsy move. Usually a duke will save it for a situation where a sure wolf isn't already on the block. I guess I would say it was probably only a good move because it worked, but it is consistent with getting us info early.
I think we're in pretty decent shape now. Hopefully just one wolf left, but I would really hope no more than two left. On the bad side, now we get another 24 hours of Hoops telling us how big his penis is. |

OK, so we wolves have disposed of a seer while burning through the witness, and duke roles. That sounds good on paper, but costing two wolves in the process isn't exactly how I would have drawn this up. Three when I play "honorable wolf" tomorrow.
Barkeep, when is the next game due to start? |

Wow, quite the day. Good job, AC.
Still not sure why so much confidence in hoops being the alpha. I do think it is likely Eaglefan or hoopsguy is the Alpha, as I buy into AC's theory connecting the two. I saw some of that myself in that same game (particularly since I was along with them for the ride). It's unlikely they are both wolves chosen by another Alpha (although possible). I see it much more likely that hoops was selected. The odds, assuming no weight, has hoops at just 1/16 chance of being the Alpha wolf. But given his reputation and WW stature, even given the likelihood he would be scanned, it is much more likely hoops would be selected to be a wolf by the Alpha wolf. For that reason, I think Eaglefan was the Alpha wolf and hoopsguy the first name on his list. Assuming I live through the night, I think there is tons here for me to analyze. I look forward to doing that some tomorrow afternoon when I return from work (my first free night since the game began). Way to go, villagers. |

holy shit...i fell asleep at quarter of ten last night and wake up to the most bizarre twist to a WW game ever.....good show AC, great call on EF!
today's vote will be a foregone conclusion, which is actually bad for us...the i expect the remaining wolf or wolves to just pop in, vote, and pop back out...there is no reason for them to actually say anthing that may lead us to them. |
