Looks like Pondexter picked the wrong week to quit making shots.

fuck, what a dreadful start to the second half.

We have the scorers to get back in it but have to get some stops.

The only way this opening could have been any better is if Robert Morris had pulled off the win.

Big Least Big Least!

So far the best showing from the Big East is Marquette, but nobody is playing defense in that game (in the first half).

Clearly, the Big East tournament beat downs that WVU put on Georgetown and Notre Dame were so demoralizing -- neither team wanted to proceed.

Yup, would have been an incredible day then, I guess we'll have to settle for "excellent" instead.

So Georgetown is getting thumped by Ohio. Who would have thought that?

Sadly enough in the battle of two evils I chose Georgetown over Ohio State. Path is already looking better for KU.

We've had a couple of dud opening days the last couple of years, iirc. This year is definitely is one of the best

All we need is a huge three at the buzzer in the last session, say, San Diego State over Tennessee, and the night will be complete

It looks like someone finally woke up Washington, too! They look like the team they should be.

The intensity in this game is heading towards a great level

Even as a Big East fan, I can't help but root for some of these upsets. I guess I'm not really into the conference pride thing these days. In Marquette's case, they ran it up with several dunks at the end of the game against WVU last year, so I have no problem rooting for Washington.

I can't remember a seed that high manhandling an opponent. You see it sometimes with the 12 or 13's, but never a 14.

I think it's all the more reason to schedule tougher road games out of conference. Give your team a chance to play a game against a team they aren't used to seeing on the road. Michigan State does it and they rarely get upset.

Yeah, I have no problem rooting against Buzz Williams, JTIII, or Mick Cronin. I think those three guys are giant d-bags and have a tough time pulling for them.

As much as I dislike Pitt and Syracuse, I think Dixon and Boeheim are classy coaches, so I don't really mind seeing them do well (aside from not wanting Pitt to make a F4 or win it all).

Hm... Wake/Texas. I kindof like it but I'd prefer SDSU-Tenn. And, of course, I have the KU game going on the laptop. Maybe it's time to turn on my computer, as well.
