I don't know that I am big on putting Fouts or Dubb behind the pistols today (though I am curious about why he think he won't be dueling. I'm going to muddy the waters a bit and...

Since we're almost certainly gonna have a duel today, I'm pretty keen on seeing Fouts involved as well, to see what was up with his Not Dueling thing.
Thinking I'll move my vote to him if need be to keep him in the duel. I have no particular reason one way or another on the other vote getters. |

The whole thing with dubb is that even though he may not have done anything specifically this game that's insulting, there is a past history on this board that, like or not, comes into play. Aggressive play _in the manner I saw it today_ has historically led to very bad things in the end. History exists, I can not and will not just ignore it.

Fouts, if you have something to say, say it. Cronin did, and the vote moved off of him. Im able to vote someone and help you, but idle threats make me want to vote you, not save you.

I don't think we can take the vote off Fouts. At this point we have to test him, and see if we learn anything. If there really isn't any risk to him, then it doesn't matter.

The question would be who he would name, then. And I guess that depends on which side you think he's on. However, that would contradict his popcorn comment, because that implies no duel at all. |

Boy I go to sleep off fraternity retreat last night and suddenly there's a run on me.
Why did I reveal that information? *shrugs* I just wasn't thinking about the strategy aspects of it. It was me trying to be in character like I do one or two posts in to the large games like this before abandoning the role. I didn't answer it because if it really was as stupid a move as Alan believes it to be, I wasn't going to remind people of it by responding to it. I was just going to let it fade back into the woodwork. I'm not any special role or anything, just a vanilla guardsman outside of the thing I mentioned in my intro post.

If that was the case, then he could force it to be dubb and Izulde, which he seems to hint the current setup isnt going to work. My guess is its either one of the following: 1) Fouts can replace himself if he is the #2 in votes with whoever was #3 in votes. 2) Fouts can duck out of the duel if there is a clear #3 regardless of which votegetter he was (currently there is a tie for #3, which might make that not work) 3) Fouts was bluffing in an attempt to get more people to push dubb up higher and possibly move him out of the duel all together. |

Not a bad guess. As I said earlier, I was worried about killing a seer type role. It is my thinking that a seer type role would not come out early in a game accusing others. So... if you (meaning all of you) have accused somebody early in this game, you should be worried. |

Does your power only apply to voting duels, or challenges too?

I'm going to choose between my 2 biggest accusers. I don't think either of them are seer types that can help us, as they wouldn't be so quick to try and string up one of their own.
Chief Rum and Alan T. You have ~ 25 minutes to state your case. |

If Fouts' power is a one-time thing, why on earth would we want to test it on day 1? Keep it for when we need it.

I told them early I was on the side of good, but no votes moved. I'm fine with using my ability early, as I will be a known good the rest of the way. The bad guys can take me out later, but that will give the seer another day to live. |

Chief said earlier that he wouldn't be around until after lynch due to work. So you likely won't get anything from him. As for me, I've already stated why I chose you as a day one lynch vote. No one likes being singled out on day 1 so I understand you don't liike it any more than anyone else would. You initially said that your role wasn't important and it wasn't a big deal to you that we were voting you. To me that told me that while you may or may not be a wolf, I wouldn't be accidentally voting to lynch the seer or bodyguard or some other important type role that I am unaware of. I thought about moving my vote off of you several times to Izulde for the reasons I stated a few times. His finally coming to explain himself as well as the huge run on him cooled me off to that. For me, I am in the situation as follows: 1) You are good, I am involved in your lynch and it looks bad on me tommorrow 2) You are good, I move off of you to someone else good and get them lynched and it looks bad on me tommorrow. 3) You are bad, and I am involved with your lynch and it looks good for me tommorrow 4) You are bad, I move off of you to someone else good, and at some day it looks really bad for me to have saved you. 5) You are good, I move to someone else bad and help lynch them and it looks good for me No matter how I add it up, it looks like luck to me. Any time someone does a late vote move it looks really suspicious unless they just happen to hit a bad guy. Since I have no idea who the bad guys are, the chances of that happening for me are probably under 20%. I guess this fortunately or unfortunately for me is a situation that just like anyone else I have to live with my vote. If that means you have some ability to put me to my death for voting for you, then I guess that is the risk I have to take. |

IMO fouts is a smart player and this could be a fake reveal in an attempt to get people to try and take pressure off him to "save him for later".
I have great respect for his play overall but I think we need to see what happens here. IF nothing else it allows us to begin to build a COT |

To be fair, I don't know anything more about anyone else than I know about you. I know you say you have some special duel changing ability but dont know what. I know Izulde says he is a sharpshooter I know Dubb says he is a great fencer I don't remember anything of note about ntndeacon. As far as I know all four (Or at least Izulde, you and Ntndeacon) said something along the lines of being normal CG and aren't anything special. So my hope is none of the four is the seer or bodyguard or such. For me to move my vote without any good reason might possibly save me today but just will put a huge bullseye on m e for tommorrow. If I knew more, then I would have more to go on, but as is I guess I have to live with my decision. |

I actually partially agree with Lathum. Part of me wonders if it was a bluff/scare tactic to have enough people to be scared of dying that they would move their votes off of him and save him. Unfortunatly for me I have no idea, so I have to read this bluff and I suck at poker. |

Quite frankly i care more about seeing a duel then who is actually in it. I have generally come to terms with the fact day one will cost us a villager every game, so im just glad we get to learn what the duels will be like(and potentially info about the winner)

I stated my reasons for voting for Fouts. He was acting suspicious, and UTR. If this gets me killed, so be it. You are killing a regular Cardinal then, Fouts. Keep that in mind.
At least I have reasons for voting for you. Your only reason is revenge, and it's a pretty piss poor one.
