I can respect that. Much better than either Vegamite or Colin Hay's hotpants. Perhaps not as good as Aussie Football Referee. Perhaps. I do love the touchdown signal.

Regarding Taz being IDed as an actor, a few thoughts (that I would rather he not confirm or deny).
I suspect he is a very unique character within this game, as my impression of the introduction was that our roles will be developed based upon our actions (I'm going for the drunken playboy role ). This makes me consider that some folks may have occupations/talents and that actual team roles will be identified down the road based upon our actions. Just a theory... Also, specifically regarding Taz: As an actor, I think we will have to consider that he may be able to impersonate other passengers. I won't develop that thought a whole lot at this point, but will just throw the idea out there. |

This idea would also fit with both Clapham and I being at the beach but only myself falling asleep and getting locked off the boat overnight. I made no contact after getting my message that I had no actions Day 0, so maybe that was why that triggered also.

Day 0 - was my own little personal experiment to see if I could go a full day without posting and avoid being called a wolf. Which I thought could happen, given that there were no starting wolves per the game structure Day 1 - just a really busy day of work, although I still managed to put myself in the limelight with a late vote after originally not planning on voting. As data points, or stuff I mistake for meaningful data, emerge I'm sure I'll get more vocal. But the mid-day deadlines are going to be challenging for me ... |

I have some information to announce from today, and will be waiting until the turn changes to give it to you (ensuring that I am alive before I reveal this).

Well, I just got it from my response to today's actions, so it wouldn't be fair for me to reveal it, and then have me turn up dead.

Because if I get killed, then I don't have a right to share it. If I got one of AlanT's first pms, and then later he sends me another saying, oops, you died, then I had to right to share that info.

He's just saying that the day hasn't officially flipped yet and he could still be night killed and he's not sure that he would/should be able to share what he learned if the wolves get him.

I got my pm at 10:04. Just a few minutes after AlanT began processing the night actions. If I die in the night action, then I have no right to share the info I received, because I died in the same action I got the info.

ok, I get it now. I thought there was some game mechanic in place that you had to wait or something.
I do think that brings up an interesting ethical question regarding the 24 hour deadline. |

The captain welcomes all back to the ship and informs you all that you should look to performing the same duty as the previous day and inform him of any suspcious types that may be aboard this ship. You should do so by voting in this thread. Also, your stay in Cozumel has ended, and it is time to journey to your next location of George Town, Grand Caymans. If anyone has enough of a compelling arguement for the captain to kick someone off of the boat, he will do so once you reach your location.
In addition, you should start thinking about what activities that you would like to undertake once you reach the next location. You have the following choices on a pamphlet given to you: Grand Cayman is one of a group of three magnificent tropical islands Christopher Columbus called "Las Tortugas" (the turtles) for the sea creatures he found in the ocean water. The designation did not endure, however, for on later maps the islands were labeled the Caimanau, the Carib Indian word for "crocodile." The name "Caimanas" refers inaccurately to the iguanas native to the islands, which were perhaps at one point mistaken for crocodiles. Among other attractions, visitors to the island will enjoy learning about the turtles, visiting the town of Hell, exploring Seven-Mile Beach and enjoying the undersea world. - Snorkle with stingrays at Stingray City Sandbar - Stop at the Conch Shell House, constructed entirely of the trumpet shells of the mollusk - Visit the Tutle Farm, an interactive sea-turtle nursery where green and hawksbill turtles are bred and raised. - Paddle along Grand Cayman's world-renowned Seven-Mile Beach on a kayaking adventure - Experience a bird's-eye perspective of Grand Cayman on an exciting flightseeing tour. - Explore a historic shipwreck while snorkeling the beautiful Cayman waters. - Go shopping in George Town and see why Grand Cayman is humorously referred to as "Brand Cayman" by those savvy shoppers who know the island's reputation for fabulous prices on designer merchandise. Event turn 1 has ended, and you are now in Voting phase of Turn 2. The deadline for this phase is 3pm EST tommorrow. Today you have a vote to make in thread as well as a PM to send to me for your next excursion. Also, I have had a few pms asking about revealing information provided in PMs. If you are going to die or be incapacitated, you will be told so in your PM. If you receive information, then you are not dead and can reveal it when you feel appropriate. However some PM information could likely seem odd if revealed before the actual turn is ended, depending on what else occurs. |

Personally, I was more worried about hoops, a non-voter, or jeheinz's late vote than I was by claphamsa, so I wish I had the ability to choose who my fortune teller told me about.

OK, so I'm now being called for tying a vote and for not voting - by the same guy?
Maybe my memory is shot, but I could have sworn Anxiety was the first guy to call me out for tying the vote when I thought Alan had posted an 8-6 result. Anxiety, the fortune teller was one of the options that I had with shopping on Day 1. That is the role I was referring to sounding very much like a traditional WW role. |

OK guys, I'm here I was able to send my PM to Alan via my phone, but it wasn't working well for reading the thread so I gave up until I got home (just a few minutes ago) and have caught up...
Yesterday when I went shopping I found the fortune teller, I tried to go back to get information on a fellow passenger, but was unsuccessful. Instead I wandered the open air markets area of the city and did see Taz acting in a Shakespearean acting troupe...very interesting, but b/c of the language differences I couldn't understand much of what was being said. Today I went back to the markets, yes - I love to shop - and although I didn't find anything worth buying I was given an item, though I've been told it's "incomplete" and can't be used. I have a few options on what I'd like to do with it, but for now I'm going to hold on to it and see if I can't find the other parts that make it whole. I'll be sending Alan my PM shortly and then will be off for the night. I've been at the hospital most of the day, my dad was readmitted because of an infection, he'll be fine but my stress level is through the roof right now. I'm working tomorrow from 8 - 3, so I'll be around during those times and will check in and post as I can, but will be leaving to go back to the hospital around 4:30 or 5:00, I'll have all my PM's and whatnot in by then though so I don't miss anything. Thanks for being so patient and not throwing me off the ship |
