time to go to bed. The hotel of Troutville should be ready at some point tomorrow. After three hours of work (2-Me, 1-chinaski), we're up to 51.5% of it done. I'm putting in one more hour before going to rest at La Vie Boheme, probably my last night over there...

Okay, Shakes Pierre is up to level 11, classed to Adventurer and trying to get through some of the early quests (sitting at donkey, cowboy, and turkey). Eventually planning on pumping points into high-money skills like Appearance and Trading to become a town benefactor.

Go to the center of the quadrant. Down and to the right just a little bit in between two decent sized "dirt" fields.

here are my current stats
Strength 8 Other three atts 0 14 10 14 8 8 0 2 0 1 3 0 0 1 1 1 4 1 3 3 5 I am thinking after some more research to keep my interest up I am going to shift my focus once I reach 14 and can respec to either a soldier or dueler. I think that will be more "fun" for what I am looking for from this game....Time will tell and I probably wont declare a path right at lvl 10....I will contribute to the coffers when ever I cash in some of my goods. Any direction or suggestions though will be taken into account. |

Don't quote me, but I from what I recall in this thread it will be to the northwest of it, but in the same quadrant. To the northwest there is a dirt area that circles green and makes the green an island pretty much. A little to the northwest of that is where the new town will be, I think. There are quite a bit of jobs in the area the town will be if you look around there. |

About halfway across the quadrant diagonally. Check Frog's graphic in post #343. The actual location is just a hair west of the edge of the box he drew in that image.

Town should exist (bank & church only of course) in just under 5 hours from now. That'll be basically 5am eastern time. Gotta get Will up & off to school and all so I probably won't be able to do much more than glance at it to make sure it finished until around 8am or so.

Just to add myself to the list, I am now officially a level 10 worker. By tomorrow morning, I may be up to level 11. My construction labor points are 105. I'm in the area of our towns and will probably be ready to aid in construction tomorrow.

invites have been sent to BYU, Neon_Chaos and Yellow5 cause these were the only guys who'd sent me a telegram.
Donate money guys. Town spots will be on a rotation and I will be checking back tonight and see if someone else has asked to come and donate. I will not be working on the hotel today, as I need to rest and raise a bit more money. Will probably finish it tonight. FM

for anyone looking for the town, the easy way if to go to Rankings, click on Towns and search for FOFC at the bottom. Should return the two FOFC towns. Click one of the little cross next to one of them and your map will be centered on that town... FM

Google page updated to reflect the opening of El Dolado.
Dumb question for you Frog Man -- if I'm the only official resident of the town, is it okay for me to leave & do a couple of hours of work? Or do we need to make sure that at least one person is in town at all times (as I've seen with at least one other online game)?

props to chinaski for whipping together a pretty neat little Troutville flag, take a look at this!
I'll upload it to the town page tonight. FM

A word of warning for those who might be thinking about heading toward El Dolado for banking, work, etc. The nearest hotel appears to be the same one that those awaiting construction of the hotel in Troutville are using, in La Vie Boheme. That's some 27 minutes away for planning purposes.
Just thought I ought to warn folks ahead of time.

And I'll be even further away once I declare a character class I guess (now that I think about it more). But that'll improve, there'll be a hotel in both towns eventually, it's a marathon not a sprint, etc etc etc.

Oh, absolutely, and jobs will pop up near you that you can't see now, as you level up. I mean, not all jobs are available to everyone as they start, maybe you've realized that by looking at the little dropdown in the map. No ones appear all the time as you level up.. FM

Actually I already see a lot of jobs I can't do (digging graves for example) but they're greyed out. Best I can figure with some quick checking is that I can see jobs that I'm within 40 labor points of (unless there's some sort of level check attached to what shows up). For example, I can see Gemstone Search, which I'm 37 points short of, best items owned included. I can't see Straightening the River or Sawing Wood which are both 40 labour points away from me.

Visit any town (by clicking on the little signpost in the bottom left of the town window) that has a general store. Once you arrive you'll be able to click on the items in your inventory that you want to sell & then confirm their sale.

Well I'm a moseyin' down to do some grain milling, then I'm gonna do some fort guarding. I need to get a donkey, too, so it will be awhile before I can contribute again to any town's fund, but I want to say, I'm good for it. I don't mind paying to make the towns grow faster.

Added a column "Construction points" to the census, as it's pretty much the only thing we really need tracking, as it impacts how we spend our treasury money.
Everyone (and Danny who enters the data in the census) we should enter the whole construction job labor points in that column, including bonuses for items and the 5% if the person is a worker. FM
