Hey, I love the song - I get choked up watching vids of Kate Smith singing it at Flyers games. It should NOT be given the same reverence as the National Anthem though.

(And don't get me started on the idiots from Baltimore who yell "O" in the middle of the anthem. Cretins.)

Yup, I've had the privilege of seeing and reading about him during his time with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Yankees. He let men on base get in his head in the minor leagues.

How do you think he'd react when its Jimmy Rollins on base in the World Series?

Another run this inning would be big for the Phillies.

Hah yea. The only way to get Chase out is to expand the zone a foot.

I think quoted for truth. 40 minutes after this post we are just going to the bottom of the 8th.

Hopefully not jinxing this. A coworker asked my predictions for tonight. Said 5-0 with Lee throwing a 4 hit shutout and Werth getting 2 homeruns.

Nope. No way. I quickly forgot all about Holliday when I saw that we merely gave up a bag of balls to get Lee.

More insurance runs for the Phillies, good stuff. CC did well but the Yankee bullpen has been poor.

You mean the Yankees pen that was suppose to be the reason they win this series? The Yankees pen that has been talked about for days that is unhittable?

Hats off to the Phillies, especially to Lee. I have to admit, very disappointed in the Yanks bats...again. Wondering when these guys are going to remember how to hit a fucking baseball again. Texiera, Cano, Swisher, Matsui....guess you guys forgot how to hit in the postseason, eh?

Hopefully we can hit Pedro, or this series may be over rather quickly.

I didn't read any previews of the series and haven't seen much SportsCenter lately, but if that is what was being said I would have disagreed. If NY were to win the series I'd think it would be due to their hitting and their three starters doing well.

6-0 now.

Geez, people have to friggin relax. I'm not worried about the Pirates or Royals pen when entering the 9th inning with a six run lead.

Best word to describe this team: methodical.

They just went out and did their thing. It won't matter if its Sabathia or Whitey Ford, they're just so consistent in their approach and it comes out in their performance.

Pressure's all on New York now, gotta love it.
