If it's true FSU just offered him 3 days ago, how would they not have a place for him? That would suggest some movement from unexpected recruits, and I haven't heard any buzz except the usual known suspects.

Also, are you sure he didn't get his scholarship pulled? Apparently that's one of the rumors as to how this went down. And would make some sense if he doesn't have a guarantee anywhere else.

I'm only telling you what I've read from the GT Rivals staff. The exact quote was that "our counterparts at FSU are telling us that FSU could not honor a commitment from him at this time."

There have been multiple daily updates on this kid since the rumors initially surfaced earlier in the week, so they've been following it closely.

From what I understand, he informed the Tech coaches he would visit FSU. Paul Johnson reminded him of the policy that if he visited another school, his offer would no longer be there at Tech, and then they both followed through on that.

OK, seeing the same thing as you from our side:

“FSU will not be accepting a commitment from Tre Jackson at this point…could change, but as of now he does not have a committable offer and will not be visiting FSU this weekend…"

And Anthony Pagan has just has his scholly offer pulled by Clemson. He lied to the coaches and they caught him in it, maybe harsh but i like the integrity we are asking for.

Savon Huggins announces tomorrow around 5pm from his school. Reportedly deciding between Rutgers and UNC with ND having a very outside shot. All the experts think RU is in here but you never know what kind of rutgersal message could sway him back.

Savon Huggins?

Sounds like an add for a discount on diapers.

4* OG Chris Bryant should be committing to Michigan in the next few hours. Big pickup considering we need depth on the OL. With that said I am still slightly pessimistic as Pitt seems to be charging hard for him and he has a familiarly there with much of our old staff. We'll see in about two hours I suppose.

Not recruiting related but Michigan added Air Force to their 2012 schedule. We now start the season with:

Alabama - Neutral Field
Air Force
@ Notre Dame

Plus we trips to Nebraska and Ohio State on the slate.

Not when you listen to his presser. He said that USC was far away the best school - best combination of academics and football tradition. He was mad that USC started off slow with him, but he said he got over it. Kid is 100% Trojan now.

Interesting rumors that USC actually stopped recruiting Jalen Grimble completely, probably due to the class being full. Also, some noise out there that he is about to commit to Miami over UCLA.

Mostly rumor. It was funny to see the USC sites to completely turn on Jalen Grimble. Overrated, afraid to compete, not a team player, shall I go on?

Did you think he was going to say "I picked USC but I'm not a big fan of the school"?

Seriously?

The Peristyle hasn't turned on him at all. And, it has been substantiated as more than rumor.

And done. Considering the season and offseason both Michigan and MSU had, there is no reason Michigan should be near MSU in terms of incoming class and yet now Michigan is actually ranked higher on Rivals.

If you take out UM's kicker commitment their average rating is 14th in the Nation.

With all of the talk about kids who are committed to USC ending up disappointed, I find the latest info interesting. USC is reportedly prepared to take an entirely full class of 34 (25 plus the 9 EE's) since the sanctions are completely stayed until after a ruling is made.

A very reliable poster is saying that he just verbally committed to USC (and that he actually told the staff at the Army All-American game that he wanted to go to USC.)

If it makes you feel better, you did just get Savon Huggins and stole another player from Pitt (which I am personally enjoying ).

Don't you worry, there is literally nothing that could bring me down from what happened yesterday. Huggins and Miles Shuler were the only ones I thought were absolute must-gets. This class will still be the best one in the program's history, with a couple other nice additions possible.

Getting Huggins is great, but everyone can tell you we needed OLs more than anything. Losing an OL recruit to a school that already has 6 OLs committed is just depressing. I'm sure his family will enjoy their new home and jobs in Tallahassee tho.

Gerard Martinez who is the main recruiting analyst on the Peristyle just said he heard Rutgers is not out of it yet and that Simmons did not commit today. But, he believes it is down to USC and Rutgers with USC leading.

Why does everyone want to go to USC?

Don't you know? Everyone is a "silent" to USC if they visit or are visited by the staff. The USC homers on Rivals are claiming they have a silent from La'el Collins, one of the best players in the country who is completely solid to LSU, because Kiffen visited with last week. It's fairly amusing actually.

I'm pretty sure most of those sites hype things up like that so people will shell out the dough for the "inside information."

The guy that posted about Simmons committing has been as accurate as anyone on there and he said Simmons did commit, but GM can't confirm it at this time. I ignore 99% of the posters on the Peristyle because they are full of shit.

Yeah, I don't believe it for 1 second on Collins. No one with any accuracy on there has claimed he is coming to USC. Of course, I'd love for Collins to come.
