Can't you ever just strike out Pandoval?! Shit man on first with him up is about as automatic a double play can get.

Hamilton was a nice shot there. Game could have been 6-0 if the umps had the dp call right- looks like 2B was off the bag and 1B was safe. Then again, you never know how different one will be pitched in different situations.

For the third time in four starts, I wish Zito were in Sanchez's spot.

Bad Sanchez two games in a row. I thought Game 4 would be the key to the series all along.

Of course the Rangers bullpen still has a chance to implode again...

Holy crap, Tim McCarver- just stop talking! Google gives me this article on, of all places, USA Today:

Yes, people study this stuff

What's the deal with Burrell? The guy is looking at strikes right down the pipe, and the only pitches he makes contact on are popups.

He's swinging under every, single, pitch.

Yep. Boch needs to move him down to 6 like he did Huff in the NLCS.

Thank you Cody Ross for giving the Giants a slight glimmer of hope.

Sigh...Giants get an F for strategy so far today. They finally get the pitcher on the ropes...throwing balls...and the last two batters swing at the very first pitch to end the inning.

Did a little league team replace the Giants at the plate today?

If we could just have Hirschbeck call the entire series from behind the plate...the guy was fantastic in Game 1.

With tonight's zone, I don't think it matters much who's on the mound.

See...ball five (which would have been called a strike) just got Posey out.

For real. Guy hasn't pitched in how many days now and he's not good enough to get 4 outs.

Can we please, please, please sit Sanchez now. If the series goes to seven and Sanchez is on the mound, I'm going to choke someone out...and I'm a pacifist.

He's 0-3 during the playoffs, with a joke of an ERA.

Giants in 5.

I usually enjoy Joe Buck (he does a lot of NFC East games, so I'm used to him)...but I've *really* enjoyed his looseness in this series. He admittedly prefers football, and probably prefers anyone to McCarver. But he's been cracking more jokes and being more...I don't know if affable is the word I want to use, but he's been enjoyable here.

Rangers bullpen is going to have to win this game as Hunter will reach 100 pitches around the 5th inning at this pace.

I find it odd. He's good at what he does...definitely better than most of the current broadcasters (Musburger, Scully, Gus Johnson, and a couple of others aside). I think some of McCarver's stink gets on him.

Yeah, I don't get the Buck hate. He's annoying only because he has taken advantage of marketing opportunities and is everywhere (doing multiple sports doesn't help either), but as far as calling a game, he's not bad at all. But then, I'm only looking for "not actively taking away from the experience" from an announcer, not "telling me something I didn't already know or couldn't see for myself." So my bar is set pretty low.

The reason I can't stand him is that he never seems excited or interested in what is going on. You get almost zero emotion. He also continually mentions other sports while commenting on what he is watching. I can't stand that.

Ah. I can see that. Did you dislike Pat Summerall on those grounds?

No, because Madden did a tremendous job covering the emotion. If Summerall hadn't had Madden, I probably would have hated him.

And Gus Johnson may not be the greatest but his calls during March Madness are certainly entertaining.

Bumgarner has been nails on the road all year (see his 2 inning relief appearance in game 6 for latest proof).

Regardless of how the bullpen does to finish this game. This series has played out exactly how I thought it would. This staff has never been given the credit it deserves which is fine because we all know the west coast teams (in any sport) get overlooked.

Wow. I thought that was gone for sure. I know they've all talked about how right center is the short porch, but does the ball always die like that to left field in Arlington?
