So I follow fantasy football but I guess I don't pay a ton of attention or just forgot, but that info graphic about the Raiders D last year was pretty bad!!

I thought the raiders were supposed to have some vertical game or something? This is pretty boring, I think I'm the only one watching!

Yup, no way they're over .500 this year. Happens every time there's a bit of hope. Next year, with the crap schedule, they'll go 11-5 and make people think they've turned the corner again.

That game last night reminded me a lot of what Baltimore did to Pittsburgh in the opener last year. I was pleasantly surprised at how the Bengals did for parts of the game last night. I was really worried about their offensive line, but they were ok. The LB's and DB's were putrid.

Yeah, the back seven looked really awful.
I don't think the Bengals have covered a TE in the past twenty years.

The offense seemed... decent, even without a lot of proven WR weapons. Green-Ellis averaged 5 yards a carry... so he should tear apart some lesser D's.

So Jonathan Vilma is placed on the PUP list and now there are feelers being put out for another meeting with Goodell. Sounds like the beginnings of a good conspiracy theory.

Fuck!!! The Raiders are so bad they can't even help me out. Now I know how Raiders fans feel when you see your team self destruct right in front of you.

Okay, I know the Bengals got their asses kicked and I'm not saying it would have completely changed the course of the game... but that refereeing last night was god awful. The AJ Green 'no-catch', the fake Anquan Boldin TD, the PI on Leon Hall which was a great defensive play... unbelievable

Perreira agreed with the Green no catch call on Twitter. I didn't see what his response to the Boldin play was. |

I didn't see anything that proved without a doubt that Boldin didn't catch that ball.

That's why the ref said the play 'stands'. Had he said the play was 'confirmed', then he had visual evidence that it was a catch. I think the ball hit the ground.

I was joking with my friend before the game. I said "I think the Packers win by 6, but it's a close game the whole way. What I love though, is that I can hope for the 49ers to completely crush the Packers, and it's not out of the question." You really couldn't have drawn up a better week one scenario. The 49ers controlled the hell out of that game, and it was only when they stopped the aggressive pass rush that the Packers were able to move the ball late in the game. It's just one game, but it's really hard not to let expectations get huge at this point. |

It's nice to see that they are already doing Thursday night games. As someone that can't stand college football, I think this is great.

You guys are being way too pessimistic. They'll finish 9-7 and in the hunt for a wildcard. No Dunlap. No Kirkpatrick. No Cook. Give it time. Last edited by rowech : 09-11-2012 at 04:19 PM. |

I thought the O-line was good. Didn't have like 6 drive-killing false start penalties like usual.

For all of the Manning love, the balls he threw did not look as sharp as normal. Those wobbly throws will get pick 6'd when he faces a team with some ball hawk corners. The Steelers have never had those type of corners before.

I was wondering about that as well and for a while just chalked it up as "naw, i´m propably just seeing that because of all the talk about that injury affecting arm strength, not because it´s actually happening", but there really were a number of them throughout the game. Even so, it was just damn impressive to see him manage that offense.

Total Record: 19-11-2. I benefited by missing some of my picks by a lot, but by getting most of the close ones. And, of course, by not having actual money on the line that would have caused me to over-think these and mess up most of them. |

On Denver, I think the key here was in Peyton Manning, John Fox got his offensive coordinator, which let him concentrate on the defense he's good at.
