My participation today will be sporadic. I have a presentation to make, several meetings, a conference check in, and dinner + Thor tonight.
I should be in and out, but just in case I'm not, I want to get in a vote. I haven't even read back in this thread yet to find out what happened, but I intend too. So, for now, Vote Zinto

meh, I hate this being a runaway but I've been crucified in previous games for putting a vote on a second candidate just for the sake of it. I'd like to look at Zinto as well but I guess that can wait for tomorrow.
I think your theory makes sense Tyrith, and we're in really good shape if this turns out to be correct vote dwardzala |

Yeah a runaway sucks but it's the best (only?) theory we have going right now. Plus if we're right about dwardzala then that means we likely have Zinto too and can knock him off the next day.

How does the Schmidty vote over MrBug or ntn in Zinto's position mean anything? I can see the Autumn trying to save Dward connection, but I guess I missed the next logical leap you guys made. |

It doesn't mean anything in particular, it was just the catalyst that made me remember I was being stupid. Although throwaway votes are an easy wolf tactic to keep their noses out of the slaughtering of innocents, but my intent was not to analyze the meaning of his vote any, just to remember it as a historical event.

A runaway never helps early in the game. After we lynch me we will be back at square one with regard to candiates. Also, given the fact that we haven't cracked the code yet on the doors means probably a second lynch meaning we could lose a second villager.

I am not sure how a run away vote is good for us at all unless someone can guarantee Dward is a wolf. I wouldn't even mind if I was the other candidate since it makes too much sense to have at least one other on the block. With that being said I am not sure how we got to the jump if Dward and Autumn are both wolves then Zinto must also be a wolf.

Hmm. I realised this afternoon that I probably went overboard with dwardzala. He was always going to attract votes today so there was no need for me to push so much. I just got caught up with the way the evidence pointed to him being a wolf, it's so rare that that happens in werewolf that I had to get it out there. I should have held off and see how the day developed before going all out. On the plus side the only thing I think we would have been able to tell today was whether Zinto or Bhlloy looked the most suspicious so it probably wasn't the worst mistake I've made. If Dwardzala and Zinto are scientists I think we're looking good. It will be like a new game but with the bonus that we have a bunch of posts and possibly some relevant votes to work with.

If the wolves know or suspect that there's only one lynch yesterday then their best bet is to split the vote that contains one of their numbers and push for a runaway on Crimson. Voting Schmidty does that. If Zinto is a wolf and votes ntn then it's not going to look good for him later down the line as they probably can expect dwardzala to get caught at some stage. But if he votes dwardzala he risks a runaway equal to the one on Crimson. So he can vote MrBug or Schmidty. I've said I'll move my vote to prevent a two-way race and I said last game that I don't like going to bed with my vote as a singleton somewhere and I think Zinto sees more of a likely candidate in Schmidty than MrBug. With the vote I think a wolf Zinto is hoping for a 4-3-2 result. Maybe Hoops, J23 and Crimson will vote for Schmidty or ntn and they won't have to worry about dwarda even if they think there might be two lynches. If it's kept close then there might not be a lynching in our thread at all. I'm worried about this because I feel almost as certain about this being the correct scenario as I did about Crimson being a cultist in the previous game. But if Tyrith is seeing the same sort of thing then that makes me feel a bit better about it. |

Anyone got any new crazy door theories? Anyone sent mail to an poor unsuspecting farmer in Arkansas or something?
I'm going to have to make a decision soon and it looks like it's going to be random again. |

Yeah, it looked like when Sadin took over he purged a lot of the old writing staff. I was definitely sad to see you weren't writing for them anymore back then, so it's really cool you're going to get to write for them again.

Yeah, it actually was Ted K. who came back fora few months and reshuffled the deck who let me go, and Sadin came in a few months later and I've just been brought back by him.

No luck on a pattern with the doors yet, even with having Maroon as the correct one from yesterday.
In case anyone was wondering, 61866 is the ZIP code for Rantoul, IL, and 38549 is Byrdstown, TN. Which doesn't give much insight as to why it was the correct door. I couldn't make sense of any kind of straight alpha substitution using A-1 B-2 , etc pattern starting with A as any number from 1-9. I'll probably try for teal, but don't have any kind of solid reasoning for it. |

Hopefully Dward is a wolf and we can get something from this vote. With it coming out this one-sided, we're likely not to learn too much if he's a villager. |

I looked at the prime factorizations and i guess not surprisingly there hasn't been any correlation. we have seen total of 1 prime. and that wasnt a door we picked. (day 1 green) There are no numbers that are factors for all three days. iwill keep trying to factor the numbers
I wonder if the right rooms spell something. _T_ if it does |

The Jester appears to you, reading a piece of paper with an emotionless face. Quickly it turns into a grin.
Guess how many of you picked the right door today! Guess! 0! None of you! When they coined the phrase dumb luck I think they were referring to this group! The teal door opens and you move slowly through it. As it closes behind you the room turns pitch black and remains as such. |

The screen appears on the wall and shows dwardzala. He is muttering to himself and scribbling in the air with his fingers.
Two beanbags fly out of the wall and into his kneecaps, sending dwardzala to his knees. A third beanbag rockets into his chest, causing him to grasp it and bow his head in pain. Chop. Last edited by The Jackal : 05-12-2011 at 09:44 PM. |

The Jester bellows more laughter throughout the new room.
"Look, another present for you!" The room glows brightly for a few seconds and you notice Abe Sargent.. or what remains of him crumpled in a heap on the floor. From the quick glance you are allowed it seems as if much of his body has been burned with acid, clearly the work of scientists! The only thing that was not hit with acid was a large hammer that protrudes from what used to be his pants. Abe Sargent was a construction worker! |

We're doing pretty well at this point - two scientists, one construction worker, and the mole gone? Would be hard to write a much better script. Well done, everyone.

The day 2 splitter thread might be worth taking a look at now we know Abe's alignment. IIRC he was very vocal about pushing a runaway vote on CF... so who was he protecting?
