No Iowa, you're supposed to kick a field goal, not score a touchdown. They forgot the script.

We just played the best team in the B1G to the last second. Who beats us? The cheese heads? The einsteins? The overrated cheaters?
Shit. We fix our offense we beat anyone, save Alabama and Clemson.

As for Kentucky though, you give up two uncovered TDs like they did, you really can't say you deserved to win.

The most lopsided walk off win in college football history.
579-273 yards. Iowa had 3-4 good offensive plays the entire game. Penn State tried their best to give it away... Apparently, when Iowa plays that way teams just fall in to the trap of making mistakes. |

I also saw the same team almost drop their shit at home to Iowa State. No thanks. If this game was at State College, PSU wins by 21 points. |

Where have you been the last 20 years? Iowa plays bend but dont break defense. Barkley set PsUs record for yards and the scorde 20. This is what Iowa does. We have a very stout defense inside the 20.

LOL. I keep saying the visiting team have won the last 7 games. Dont be so sure. Then again, Iowa may have just shot their wad. We may finish 7-5.

Btw, it worked, but interesting play all by Penn State on.that last play. 3 receivers running crossing routes to the same spot? And Barkley temporarily swings into the Heisman darling position. That leap + landing on his feet while getting drilled? Insane. |

That was an amazing 4th quarter, Penn State deserved that, as much as they tried to give it away. And Barkley with 264 total yards against a pretty damn good defense, I would think the Heisman is his to lose at this point.

Bend but dont break is just a term for a defense that isnt very skilled so they just play zone and let teams go up and down the field and hope the other team makes mistakes. Which is what happens sometimes. Not a bad strategy for a mid level team. |

Exactly. Thats why Minny sucks, they think they are better than what they recruit. Until they find a coach that realizes what Minny is, they will take their 6 wins and play in NYC in Dec. 26th.

On the other hand, Wiscy has done what Iowa should do. Wiscy is the poster child for developmental programs. They are what Iowa should be. And they have done it with 3 different coaches.
Im jealous of Wiscy. As you should be, They do it right.

Because Minny thinks they can play with the big dogs in the conference. They have 6 national titles you know. They have tradition. But its fans like you, that think this.
In reality, Minny sucks. And will. They may get the occasional good coach (maybe) but they are a stepping stone. At least Iowa is a stop.

I havent cared much about the Gophers since I was 12 years old. I just find Iowa talk of National Championships funny. I couple of them are friends of mine that every year they talk the same thing. I like college football and I like watching top matchups. My teams change from year to year. If Alabama is playing LSU I will be watching that over a Gophers/Iowa game. Im casual if a fan at all. Rare? The joker came into this season barely 2-1 TD/INT for his career and it's rare? He's had 3-4 passes that should have been picked but turned into TDs already this season. His INTs will magically come back during conference play. |

I love college football. LOVE it. Hate pro football HATE it.
But im an Iowa fan . Born and Bred. And an Alumni. I watch college footnall from 11 am until 12 am every saturday. I like debating B1G fans that arent Iowa fans.. Because I know what the B1G is about. No one else does. But we do. And I respect everyone of you. Despite your opinions of Iowa. In fact, when you rip on Iowa, i take that as respect. The rest of the CFB suck. IMO.

Why don't they call targetting on the offensive player? If player safety is so important?

I am watching Hawaii/Wyoming wondering why scouts are drooling over Josh Allen. Sure he has a strong arm and can make nice throws but his feel and game intelligence just seem poor. I gave him the benefit of the doubt in the Iowa game but this is Hawaii they are playing and he looks even worse.

I don't think there is any real hype around him. Sure, the TV guys propped him up, but that seemed to come out of nowhere and nothing about his play suggests he's any good. He's a low completion % guy with a big arm and that seems to be it. |

Since he's playing a good defense for the first time this year the refs are trying to make things easier for Rosen by throwing out all the Stanford defensive players.

Wonder if UCLA will figure out that Love is the only thing Stanford has on offense and be able to stop him.

Can't believe Shaw was at every practice and thought he had two QB's better than Costello.
Mora is going to lose to the backup QB for like the 6th time in his career at UCLA. |

While we overcame TAMU and a large deficit, I don't think Rosen will be enough to overcome how awful the defense is. Rosen will most likely be forced to throw it a lot more now

UCLA's defense is so frustrating. In the most obvious situations they still cant stop the play. Love is just a beast. And that refs failure to blow the whistle on that 3rd down reception changed the entire 2nd half. Last edited by jbergey22 : 09-24-2017 at 01:56 AM. |

On 4th and 6, UCLA's DB's were 7 yards deep. UCLA and Jim Mora in a microcosm. I don't consider UCLA a powerhouse, but they have pretty significant history in CFB. The AD has made 3 football hires. UCLA hasn't won't the PAC-12 in two decades, right before Dan Guerrero took over. I can't imagine any other athletic departments really allowing that. Basketball has had four losing seasons during his tenure as well. He gave Mora an extension last year so he didnt have to make another hire before he retires in 2019. Two INT's. One because the receiver ran the wrong route and the other because it bounced off the chest of the receiver.
Sit out Josh, please? It's not worth it. That fact that you still care is impressive. Last edited by MrBug708 : 09-24-2017 at 02:20 AM. |
