I don't understand why the hacker would attack hoopie () twice in one day. Is it possible that this attack was from someone else? The hacker the first time, and the firewall specialist this time (to drum up business)?

Two points - who said there was just one hacker? Secondly, who said that the mafia may not have hacking abilities of their own?

Ill say hoops has made himself out to be someone of importance...saying he also had a pretty solid knowledge of computers, and of security, makes him a nice target. Who he is, i dont know...but i have a fair idea who he wants us to think he is

I guess I will go ahead and pile on to ntndeacon. He hasn't really done anything to stand out, but I'm not convinced the handful of people who have stood out seem on the wrong side. I'm going to make this vote because I have to pick someone and to try and prevent a tie, I guess.

Honestly, I don't know. I know most people would have a very good idea of what is on their computer systems, but I don't. I wish I had a better understanding of why this is, as it would be convenient to give you a definitive answer. My guesses on what kind of info could be out there: 1. Role info 2. Allegiance 3. Monetary info 4. Message board info (if someone has susbscribed) 5. Any kind of communications between players (if that ability was in game) There is info to be gained here, but I'm guessing a lot less than people were seeking, no matter what their motivations might have been in hijacking my PC. I'm a pretty simple guy, although I'm definitely agitated by all the prying. I don't want to tip my hand here - enough people already have me filed, indexed, and type-cast. st.croninI'll try to answer your questions in a way that help you find what you are after, but I'm unlikely to extend the same courtesy to those I consider most suspect. |

you're right...quite the throwaway vote. But i'm back in time.
I don't want to vote for NTN despite him being in the lead, but bsak has been fairly quiet, so maybe if NTN has the ability to escape my vote can actually count for something instead of being a total throwaway? UNVOTE MARATHONER VOTE BSAK16 |

I guess it's possible the mafia could have their own hacker, but that sounds more like something they would hire out for. It's also possible that there is more than one hacker available. Would that explain the two attacks against the same person? Why would the same hacker select the same target in the same day? That doesn't make sense to me. |

Hoops, are you making these reports?
If so, will you clearly state, for truth, that your computer has been hacked three separate times today? |

I would certainly look at ITC and Swaggs tomorrow after I am gone. For those late votes after I said what I said earlier.

My computer has been hacked twice today. I have reported both. One has appeared in the news, and I would expect the other will. Unlike others are suggesting, I have no special computer skills, other than to not protect it apparently. |

I'm quite frankly baffled by this development. Maybe there are two 'hacker types' and both targeted hoopsguy?

I can comfirm, and others will as well, that someone just posted over on that board that looks like there are two hackers - but again, it could be someone just wanting it to look that way.

So I have a feeling that a certain player knows my role. I am ready to reveal if a player steps up and says that they suspect what role I have. I will not reveal their role, simply mine.

Ah, yeah, that was the same person. There seem to be a LOT of moving parts in this game, people that know other people, lots of funky interactions. We might need to be careful about what conclusions we draw early on, until we know more. |

And I expect the lynch results will be in the daily news at some point during the day - the guy hanging from the rope should get a PM. That is if I'm recalling correctly what the voice in my head said earlier during Day 1 ...
