Where are the midgets? I never see them in bars, or eating chicken, or buying shampoo. Do they only live in my TV? Are they slaves to the chocolate-making industry, or what? Confused ...

From the Greek nostos "homecoming" + algos "pain, grief, distress.

Originally meant homesickness. Acquired its modern sense of yearning for the past around 1920.

I thought the midgets all went into hiding ever since Dean Houston's slapocide.

Being in the great northeast, I bowl candlepin.. I'm afraid I'll never come close to a 300 game.

But watching the midget is great fun. Their team name is even 'One Man Short.'

I'd like to try candlepin sometime, but it's not happening around Pittsburgh.

If by 'midget' and '300 game', you mean Kathy Griffin with a bit and tackle in her mouth, dressed up like one of Santa's reindeer...now that's thinking outside the box.

Please don't mention Kathy Griffin and box in the same sentence.

OK. It's time to announce a split. Yes, Wendy's and I are done FOREVER. I don't know what they think they're doing over there, but the new burgers make me ill. Do NOT ask for details. And so, I bid adieu to the little red-haired girl. Thanks for the years of yummy memories, honey. My heart now belongs to Cookout.

Amazing Facebook link? NO!

Not even the id, it's just that there was no variable specified before the '=' so the query string doesn't mean anything.

I pretty much figured that's exactly what it was when I clicked on it and my profile came up. I wasn't going to spoil the joke though.

My wife's friend just found out what happens when you get paid under the table, have a baby, then try to use your check stubs as proof of how much your income was so you can collect disability on maternity leave. She's completely baffled why the state won't listen to her.

Back to work you go, with a newborn ... and no help. Don't feel bad for her, but feel bad for that poor child.

Tonight I have to report to the fridge and play my favorite game of Find The Smell. I don't understand why, as I've cleaned most of it out - including that vat of vegetable soup I tried once and pretended I was going to eat again. I ... hope it's nothing Pete the Cat decided to store in there ...
