I'm hoping the votes for judge will be in the next Big City Herald (along with the results of the lynch).

It will be interesting to see the judge vote, may give us an idea on the numbers of the mafia.

That has to be one of the most anti-climatic lynchings ever. I know Alan said not to get our hopes up, but damn.

The Big City Herald
Edition 6 Mob out of control Breaking news at the town hall.. a mob of people who spent the majority of the day crying out for improved law enforcement went out of control after a string of reported crimes. The leader kept crying out that the police were not doing enough, things had to change.. As the crowd grew into a frenzy, one of Big City's own detectives, just having returned from investigating a hacker report ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Its unknown currently where the bottles first came from, but it did not take long to find the Detective pelted with bottles, rocks and anything else people could find. As the police finally brought the crowd under control, it was too late for the police detective he was declared dead at the scene. RIP Ntndeacon, loyal detective on the Big City police force. Petty crimes increase in the Commercial district Only minutes before the shocking news of the police detective's demise word out of the commercial district was that a local citizen was attacked in broad daylight and robbed. He reports to have lost some money in the ordeal. Quote:
No new justice In a time when crime seems to be its highest, the citizens of the Big City evidentally choose to handle things mob variety. A local vote to elect a new judge failed as there were not enough votes for any candidate. Final poll results: Anxiety - 9 Blade - 3 DaddyTorgo - 3 Hoopsguy - 1 Tyrith - 1 (Note to any remaining city detectives, you may at any time investigate a past crime. Simply PM which crime you wish to investigate.) |

I was worried for Ntndeacon after he said that "someone would investigate" right after I reported the crime. Should have shifted my vote to bsak, but didn't have the guts. I'm very annoyed with myself right now for not trusting my gut on this.
But he was also in here late and could have come forward with that info to remove voters and chose not to do so. The way I read that description indicates that he was investigating the crime I reported. Path12 asked earlier if I could ID the detective and the answer is no, or else I would have definitely have tried to save him in the last hour. I would expect Blade6119 to have a similar experience if/when someone investigates his crime, if he did report it. |

HoopsGUY does that mean that there is another detective? If so, that's not nearly as bad.
And yeah, bad play by ntn not to reveal. I think we could have found somebody else to vote for. |

Yup. I'd rather have the police out in the open, forcing the bad guys to potentially expose their hands, than to go down at the hands of a lynch mob.

I'm disappointing that the findings on my computer issue likely died with the detective. I'm going to track votes against NTN from the time I reported my computer crime out of curiosity ...
I'm assuming there is no value in reporting the lynch victim as a crime? In terms of identifying Mob activity? Anyone have thoughts on this, or a dissenting opinion? |

I'd say the votes for DT and anxiety were from villagers. I'll bet the votes for hoopguy and tyrith were throw aways from the mafia. I have no clue about the three for blade. 17 votes overall with 2 throwaways, likely from the mafia. I'd guess at least 5 people who may not have the best interest of the community at heart. |

I was thinking it might give us some clue how many mafia there were. How many people didn't vote at all? That might be the best clue. |

Keep in mind that it's not just the mafia that would be interested in not having a judge. I have a feeling that there are some neutrals out there that would rather not have a judge sitting on the bench. |

*Raises hand* Had a job interview today. Now I have to catch up on all the action. How did I let myself get dealt into this mess? I knew there was a reason I had taken a break from WW.

OK, since we have a 24 hour rolling day, I think we can have meaningful discussions right away. Do we need a new judge strategy or just follow the same one from yesterday? Do we all try to back one candidate that is agreed on early, or have some discussion before deciding? Do we still have the right horse(s) for the judge in Anxiety/DaddyTorgo/Blade6119?
I would agree that if anyone has a way of learning who voted for either me or Tyrith for judge yesterday that they bring that information forward. Those smell like throwaways. |

Question - with no kill happening (making conversion something of a possibility), does that change the way we view the Blade/DT interaction?

I'd rather have DT as a judge than no judge at all. So if I don;t have a majority, I'd be happy to throw my weight behind him. We NEED a judge.

Marathoner, I didn't know who detective #2 was. I know numbers, not names.
Hoops, I think the best plan would be to pile votes on one candidate and get an actual judge into office, and I think that means we need to solidify on a candidate early. We can't fragment at all, as we have seen, because it is hard to get 50 percent of a secret ballot. |

if elected as judge I will serve to the best of my ability. but I leave it up to others to decide if I am the best candidate.
I too would be very interested in the late votes onto ntn, it's quite possible that with some of the things he said that there could be mafioso in there. |

I prefer Anxiety or Blade to DT. Something about DT and Blade's interaction doesn't feel right to me. But I'll go with the majority.

I will go with either Anxiety or DT, but I would prefer Anxiety beacuse blade/DT seems like one of those potential weird interactions blade is prone to doing as a wolf.
