As you all continue your deliberations, accusations, odes to Trout, and other assorted fun, something crazy happens.

Saldana begins to scream in agony, as terrible wounds and sores open across his entire body. His skin literally starts to melt away and he crumples, leaving behind a bloody, disgusting mess.

Even more, as the vile corpse sits there slowly rotting away, you realize that Saldana was neither Elemental nor Avatar. He was, in fact, a Human hiding amongst you. What an enemy of both Elementals *and* Avatars was doing amidst you is, indeed, a mystery.

SnDvls or Jonathan, if you guys know how this will impact your target I would love to get some clarification. I'm trying to see if there is reason to clear these people from being the killer last night.

I can go find the posts on who came out first, but it sounds like you saw those already. Basically, Cronin was the first post of the day saying he had been messed with.

I didn't do it, and there are only seven other people left besides me. I'm going to be a little surprised if the Elementals got to take a shot during the day cycle, so ... wiping out a non-Elemental seems like something that people would like to admit doing.

I'm not sure how much of a pot shot it is at this point. Just how many Elementals do you think are left among the last 8 players?

If you are an Elemental, you clear yourself.
If you trust the vouches for JE and Lathum, then you are down to five players.
Go with your gut from there, it is high-reward with the high-risk element being that you could be speeding the end of the game.

You may want to go back and see that I was first to detail what happened to me, and then Cronin confirmed that the same thing happened to him. If I was bad, that's kind of a dangerous play to make, especially after night 1. It'd be much easier to sit back and say nothing.

Best reasons not to vote for:
1.) Hoops - for me, knowing I'm good. For others? No compelling reason, view shared on SnDvls didn't prove good/evil
2.) Lathum - Schmidty says he is good
3.) Jonathan - Heinz says he is good
4.) Cronin - powers blocked on Night 1? Seems to have had Duke power (has this been explicitly stated?) on Day 2
5.) Path - powers blocked on Night 1?
6.) Heinz - vouches for Jonathan
7.) Schmidty - vouches for Lathum
8.) MrW - I don't have a reason

For now, I'll put a vote down on MrW. I don't think there are compelling reasons to trust all that many people, but he is the only person with no associated events that give some kind of reason to trust him.

VOTE MR WEDNESDAY

Actually, I miss Clap in that list above. And there are not any reasons for him either, as far as I can tell, although there is linkage between the two.

Player 1 - I tried to scan Player 2 and it failed!
Player 2 - I don't know why it failed.

Who, out of those two, is the wolf if you take away player names and just label them the way I did above?

do you view that as good or bad? I mean, we dont know if he did it, or if he had any idea saldana was a human, and shoudl we assume humans are bad?

By the way, anyone want to speculate on what Saldana may have known?

Possible victory condition for eliminating Swaggs?

So in other words, you get evidence proving you wrong on your initial accusation and then you decide not to believe that either? Odd.

This is one of my games. Things are not as they seem. Some players have secondary motives, some players are entirely on their own, and situations can change rapidly. Expect weird things to happen, because they will.

Possible that Saldana's win condition would have been with the Avatars maybe.

So hoops, obviously MrW and Clap stand out here in my mind. Though the thing that I'm most surprised by is the fact that we only have two successful scans to this point.......and the people who were scanned.

For example, I would have thought that you and SnDvls would have been obvious early scans. My attempt on you failed, and nobody has come forward with one of SnDvls. Instead, we get views on Lathum (which I can understand) and JE (which frankly I don't). Does that seem odd to you?

I think Saldana may have done the night 1 kill.

In barkeeps write up he turns to dust, PurdueBrads is more ambigous about what happened to his body.

I get where Lathum is going with this. Before Path came forward yesterday with his info on how the power worked, and was backed by Cronin, I was thinking he had bluffed being negated as a cover for nefarious Night 1 acts.

I think that would be a good play, but coming up with details on it would be the challenging part.

I'm bummed with how little information Barkeep revealed as a good guy this game. He is not a player that I normally have problems getting involved in the conversation. Oh well, nothing to do about that at this point.

ok, taken into consideration.

But I think it was possible Saldana did the night 1 kill and path was blocked from killing hoopsguy.

In case Path was seen he came out and said he attempted to scan him instead.

By the way, I don't have the ability to scan anybody, never did. I've been thinking about the architecture of this game, and my guess is that's one of the "rarer" abilities. It seems like there's some others that there's quite a bit of duplication.

PurdueBrad, the Night 1 kill, explicitly lists "Death by Avatar" - not Saldana
Barkeep, the Night 2 kill, is more dubious based on the page 1 results.

interesting. I just read the write ups.

Perhaps Saldana performed the night 2 kill?

Did anyone use their powers to block someone last night?

We don't know what either of them was attempting to do; Path has said he was trying to scan me and Cronin has kept his intentions to himself.

But the "Death by Avatar" description on Page 1 puts a damper on either of them trying to do a kill unless you believe the Avatars have multiple kills (probably not).

For example, I would have thought that you and SnDvls would have been obvious early scans. My attempt on you failed, and nobody has come forward with one of SnDvls. Instead, we get views on Lathum (which I can understand) and JE (which frankly I don't). Does that seem odd to you?

I scanned JE in an attempt to think outside-the-box. I figured he hasn't said much but had been a bit shifty, so let's find out whose side he's on. Plus, it was highly likely he wouldn't be a night kill.

I figured at least 2 or 3 of us had the ability to scan each night. In fact I figure we almost all do as one of our 4 powers. I'd let someone else scan the more obvious targets.

Well, offhand Swaggs was getting a lot of attention last night, maybe he would have been a good scan. I think generally that if you have a scan power it is best used on someone who has some suspicion upon them in order to clear or not. Instead, using it on MrW who hasn't had a lot of attention might be nice to know, but we've then still got the same suspects out there that we've had from the start.

But that's not what bothers me. What bothers me is that you don't seem to have been attacked or anything, and yet you say your scan failed. And Mr W says that he didn't use any particular protective power that would block a scan. So unless your power is different than the scan effects we've already seen (a couple of good ones, and the one of mine that didn't work was in conjunction with an attack upon me), it just seems a bit....well.....farfetched.

It's probably because I've been shaving my head recently.
