This is another small thing, but I'd love it if the difference in player talent from a Global league to a Regional league was astronomical. I end up disabling international leagues because it dilutes the American leagues with tons of 10th-12th man types available to be signed. So you have a historical league with real guys and then their benchwarmers are 3 dudes from China.
Ideally I think I'd like to see players of a league from Turkey have zero chance to make the NBA, all of them. With the rinkle that a few NBA scrubs could join that league, but not vice versa for that league's stars, even. |

Although players shouldn't be missing from normal historical drafts as of 3.0.10. Did find an issue with how the game starts Rose's jumping skill too low while looking into things.

Version 3.0.11: http://www.fbbgames.com/FBPB3Update3011.exe ****************************************************************************************************************** Fixes: *When changing defensive matchups while coaching, the player you move should trade spots with whoever he replaced. *View player button should be enabled on new emails stating your free agent offer is unacceptable. *Fixed several screens where the value in the league drop box wouldn't save if it was set to the first value (team stats, player stats, transactions) *Players who are one day from being D2D should not appear in games. *HOF name sort should sort by last name. *Fixed error 9 that could occur during CPU trade offers. Changes: *Increased frequency of cpu trading. *Added settings for trade difficulty, frequency, cpu value of cap room and young players/picks to the league options. screen. *Tweaked jumping rating determination for historical players to focus more on the best remaining seasons of the player. *Added an email when a waiver claim is successful. *Small decrease in how developed fictional rookies will be in their first year. *Draft history archive will show ratings squares for any players who are still active. *Next/Previous buttons will show the next active player in the list when viewing a player in the draft history archive.

Its nice to see that trading was added it was cool to see Minnesota trade for players to fit around Kevin Love to make them playoff contenders. It was also cool to see the Bobcats trade away more players for which im assuming cap space to suck even more.

He may like the offer better, but they have not offered more money. This is a random debut league, 1965.

Anybody want to start tackling draft classes to build a mega file? I just started putting together a few faces for 1946... really gives you the whole 'man these white guys woulda never made it today' vibe you really need when playing from the beginning |

I might be able to jump in at some point. I'm still in the middle of doing a detailed update to the logos and team files you assembled (much thanks for doing that pass).

I haven't played any attention to this at all, so forgive me: Do coaches lose skill as they age or do they stay the same/improve?

My initial response was of course they develop over time...but apparently that will be in an upcoming patch. I've got a few other staff related things to work on so that will probably be the focus of one update. Basically, I need to get some foreign coaches mixed in along with the possibility of retired players showing up as coaches, and the mentor tracking system.

I would say when you get to that mixing in retired players bit, like 90% of them should be such... which Head Coaches didn't get a run in the NBA currently? Larry Frank, Spo are the only ones that comes to mind.

If you have training setting to "CPU", then go to the training screen and hit recommend, the numbers still move... shouldn't they already be on the recommended totals?

On a related note, do CPU teams go through training or is it just a user thing? I ask this because I don't think the recommended training is very smart. If a guy is 15/D in Inside Scoring, but a 40/A in Rebounding, it will recommend he train more on inside scoring than rebounding, I think because it's lower. But his ceiling there is much lower, you'd think he'd try to max out that sky high rebounding potential.

I tend to agree. With the draft classes for foreign leagues based on prestige level, anything other than the bottom prestige gives just far too many good quality players that will flood the NBA. If orange is fringe NBA and yellow is rotation/starter quality, I think the top foreign league guys would generally be orange players, and producing an orange or higher should be rarer than it is currently IMO. Related to the requests for a purple, I actually wonder if there needs to be another colour or two downwards as well, to prevent the "sea of red" feeling when looking at foreign leagues.

Talent probably should probably based around how good everyone else in the league is maybe like have at most 10 blues in one league 20 green I dont know go from there. For example a blue in one league may not be a blue in another. |

I had to post this guy's career. He is the luckiest man alive. He played 1 minute in a career where he hung around from 1968 to 1980, almost exclusively as as deactivated player. In his 1 career minute he didn't record a single stat.
Yet, 3 rings! Code:

How'd you find that guy, Marms? He was 82 by that point, so you were in 2028... how did you stumble upon a guy that retired nearly 50 years prior?

Korme, I was browsing through the archives (all players retired and active) and when I sorted by Rings, I noticed a bunch of 0's among all the other players with stats.
There were actually a handful of guys who won 2 rings with really low numbers, but none like this guy. I even found a guy who scored 900 career points and won 5 rings with 4 different teams. All the stuff in the archives is incredible cool to go through every decade or so. Chris Paul turned out to be the greatest player in an 80 year archive. 2nd in points, 1st in assists and steals and 6 titles (2nd to Havlicek and Ken Sears with 7).

On the career records screen I think it'd be better if for team it showed the team the player played the most seasons for rather than the last team he played for

One thing I just thought of, based on reading the article about Russell Westbrook being done...and it seems rather mgsports-oriented (unfortunately), but I think it'd be great for this very game.
How possible is an Olympic competition? I don't mean tomorrow...I just mean in general. It would add to more stories and a more immersive universe, especially in a fictional universe. I think it'd be doable because of all the different nationalities in the game. I also believe, from the dynasty or online-league side, it would open up so many possibilities...following a player from high school through the end of his career (I'm still trying to come up with ways to do a HS setup with the college game, and think I have it...just have to work on it)...this just seems interesting to me right now. Then again, I'm exhausted, and should sleep. Perhaps I'll wake up tomorrow and think this idea is stupid. |

On way I can envision it would be that, for all nations that have an active league, have an "All-Star" like squad made up of those nationalities. Then for non-active nations, populate squads for all those listed in the nations txt files with an All-Star squad of any real players that may be in the active leagues, then fill in the rest of the roster with "fake" generated red/red guys of that nationality.

Picked Kevin McHale to be the face of my expansion Dallas Mavericks. He then gets a serious injury as a rookie that causes him to miss 300+ games, and next season drops from a Green/Blue to a Yellow/Yellow following the injury.

How do i sign a player to an extension ? Can´t find a screen where to do that.
Also, starting with the historical League in 2012, are there supposed to be records filled ? Another little thing: Could there be player of the week/month awards by conference ?

another thing : Scoring seems way down playing with the historic 2012 option with historic modifiers.
Also, the pace modifier seems backwards. From the description (2000 doubles it) you´d expect it to be "higher = faster" but it´s the other way round, whereas other modifiers work as you´d expect them to. Any chance for modifiers on quantity of shots ? (i.e. number of 3s or inside shots in adition to percentages ?) Another small thing: I´d love for team stats including shooting locations as well, any chance for this ?

Think of the pace modifier as regulating the length of time taken by the average possession.

Yeah, I lower the pace in my WNBA league and it increases the scoring dramatically. Took me a bit to figure that out, but I get it now.

yeah, it works and can be figured out/explained. Just saying, that on the face of it, it doesn´t come intuitive
Other random notes: Trade Screen: Would be nice to be shown the number of years left in adition to the salary Database: A lot of extensions aren´t in the 2012 file of the historic DB, which might be part of the reason why i saw so many players move in Free Agency (Curry, Griffin, Lawson, Holiday, Harden, Ibaka, Marc Gasol among others). Bird Years also seem to be pretty out of tune. Also some FA signing are on their "old" contracts, for example Lin and Asik. Draft Preview : Would be nice to be able to toggle to the ratings and Potential screens in the "projected order" screen as well. Free Agency : Would be nice to have the remaining cap space displayed on the overview screen.

I started a 2012 league with current players with draft set to random debut. It was a blast until I realized the random debut option meant players I started with were coming back in the draft as rookies. Is there a way to change this
