No RB in the draft I'd rather have than McCluster, was hoping he'd stay under the radar & could slip to the Falcons in the 3rd frankly.

A stronger QB class next season spells DOOM for Clausen.

Watching Boomer, Young, Gruden, Kiper, and Jackson is brutal. They have ZERO cohesion and chemistry.
I am only hanging on because I like Gruden's comments but he just has to fight hair-do over talking him.

The Football Outsiders guys have been saying for a few years that college starts and completion percentage are the two big indicators for success at the pro level. See for example College stats don't lie - NFL - ESPN.

Yes, actually. I think they could have used him in some creative blitz packages with his speed. Oh well, more I read of Nate, he seems like a solid pick. Meanwhile, Clausen continues to fall.

Eisen, Mayock, Corey Chavous, Brian Billick, Charles Davis for NFLN. Pretty strong (dunno about Chavous though).

I've always wondered what Gruden would be doing if he didn't have a career in football. Even when he is happy he looks supremely pissed off.

Trying to think of who comes out next year. Locker and Mallett (probably on Mallett, since he could come back).

Maybe Luck from Stanford. That atheltic kid from Miami? Pryor from OSU? Who am I missing?

The SEC seems like it was cleared out this year, Tebow, Snead, Crompton, LSU's QB wasn't good I don't think, can't remember who Stafford's replacement at Georgia was, wasn't McElroy a senior, too? Shows how much I pay attention there.

I liked watching the NFLN draft last night. Wasn't a bunch of people trying to talk over each other. Although, it could have been 6 monkeys flinging feces at each other and as long as Berman wasn't in the group it would be better.

I'm willing to bet he would have gone in the top 20 of the 1st round if he had come out last year. Coming back for his senior year was a bad mistake for him.

Poor Raiders. They're the anti-Pats. Any selection they make is instantly ridiculed.

So they traded with each other, because the Pats must want a WR and the Ravens definitely want one.

I still think he will be a pretty solid Safety in the NFL, starter material after a couple years imo.

There are people right now on the local newspaper blog saying that the Hawks should jump up to grab him. Because two safeties in the first two rounds is what we really need.

Agreed. I remember thinking last year that he really should have gone. The season he had more or less confimed that. He had nowhere to go but down at that point. He got bad advice from somewhere.

I agree. His physical skills are superior and with good coaching he should become a very good player in my opinion.

As much as it pains me to say this, seeing the new coaching staff in action (well vicariously from good friends who are still in the area), the level of hands on coaching in practice is night and day between this year and last in favor of this year.

lol... I swear Belichek must prematurely ejaculate when he sees a solid tight end available in the draft.

Read into that anyway you want.

My guess is Tate here to Baltimore. He'll beat out his QB. And for the first time in many years, a UCLA AND a Notre Dame player will be picked ahead of a USC player.
