She does have some films where she was the producer, and she gets major credit for, like ET and Jurassic Park and The Sixth Sense. However, she was the executive producer for most of the other major films, like Gremlins, Back to the Future trilogy, Raiders, Schindler's List, and other things. That means she was not involved in making the movie, but instead helped with things like distribution, marketing, legal aspects, etc. That's an administrator. Still a fine thing to be, to be sure, and her work as an actual producer on ET, Jurassic Park and 6th Sense plus a few others like Seabiscuit and Hook means I don;t laugh at her being taken, but she's not the uber-producer you make her out to be.
