We own the Heat's #1, top 10 protected for like 2 years. Would love to see Miami go back to irrelevance.

IMO there is no way LeBron signs anywhere where he's going to have to be "the man" again scoring wise. He's going to sign someplace where there's a clear #2 guy and a solid supporting cast of rotation players.

Signing in LA means relying on another broken SG.

Considering what they've done so far, I'd agree. But not the kind of names that's going to impress LeBron.

Call me crazy, but I'm sorta excited to watch some summer league ball tomorrow... Assuming first rounders and Noel play.

Maybe with Kobe he'd have a better finals record than 2-3

Yep, went through UNLVtickets.

I'm going on the 11th, which is Knicks/Mavs, Raptors/Lakers, Cavs/Bucks and Spurs/Kings in Cox and Warriors/Hornets and D-League/Pelicans in T&M.

I'm not missing the Cavs/Bucks game and I'm still undecided on whether to go Spurs/Kings (rosters look meh for Kings and I imagine Spurs will be too) or change buildings for the D-League/Pelicans game.

I'll never understand how they put the Cavs-Bucks in Cox instead of the T-Mack (although the locker rooms are 500% better in Cox).

Edit for those who don't know, Cox is the womens gym and it holds 2500 while T-Mack holds 19500

Is it someone "credible" who basically makes guesses that are probably true but have no basis in actual fact like Chris Broussard?

Yeah, I'm not seeing it anywhere. He'es 90% to resign there, so someone might as well guess as if it's news. Only other team with a small shot is the Lakers (since they also offered him max they can), but Knicks can still offer him the most money and Melo seems like the type of player who wants max money ahead of winning

Nerlens Noel easily the best player on the floor today. The 76ers front line is going to be so insane in a few years.

It was a text I got and then I went looking for it and didn't see it either. So he probably saw it somewhere or heard it on ESPN and assumed it was legit without anything to corroborate, but Post is saying he's "expected" to sign.

Just finished Celtics-Heat... Yikes, Napier played atrociously up until making a few shots in the 4th Q. Had trouble finishing at the hoop as you'd expect, but more worrying was his horrible passing - had his passes straight out picked 3 or 4 times, and Pressey had his number on both ends. Heat lacked in fringe-NBA talent compared to the Celtics squad, but Ennis looked pretty good. Watched him dominate over here in Australia this past season, and I wondered how he'd do against similarly-athletic players. Had a couple of nice plays, but struggles with contact given how slight of frame he is.

Smart didn't have flashy numbers on offense, but he looked the goods. Did a great job finding the open man, especially coming off screens, and lots of steals too. Gave up two open looks to his man when he got caught ball watching, but he definitely looked like an NBA PG tonight. Pressey had a good game on both ends, but with his lack of size and finishing ability I think he's destined to be a great PG in Europe. Olynyk IMO is going to be a crafty, Scola-like scorer well into his 30s.

Yeah, pretty impressive showing from Noel. In particular his passing was really good - found cutters rather than putting up the contested shot inside. I think Embiid and Noel would work together. Like the Pelicans are hoping with Asik, you can let Noel go crazy on chasing down shots with Embiid still protecting the basket. Can't say I knew who Ronald Roberts Jnr. was before the game either, but he was really solid. Shame about the potentially serious achilles injury to Pierre Jackson, he looks like he belongs in the NBA.

Payton had a pretty shaky debut, and Gordon looks as raw as advertised... a few really nice plays, but a lot of bad ones too. Marble, Curry, Batts, and Osby were all pretty impressive though.

Guess Mirotic was in Vegas this weekend. He came into the store and bought a Bulls hat for himself and gf (wasn't sure if it was him because I didn't know he had a beard now but looking at photos online it was him).

Assume the buyout is going to happen now.

Not saying Collison is great. He's not. As I noted, he's not one of the top 20 starting PGs in the league. But he's a decent player at least, with some flaws that keep him from being better.

That's right, Steve. He still loves you. He didn't mean it, baby. Sometimes a man just has things he has to do, thass all. He's gonna come back, and he's never gonna hurt you again.

I don't understand why the media thinks / why it's a reality that Cleveland would be so happy to welcome him back?

I mean...you're his sloppy seconds (at best). How's that supposed to be a positive thing?

I still don't think it's going to happen. If it did though, I think Cleveland would welcome him back. I've loved to hate on him since he left, but I'm a Cavs fan... if he plays here, I'll cheer for him again.

Napier bounced back today with a good game vs the Nets, and a couple of very nice assists. Ennis was huge too with 29.

Melo might be stealing the spotlight from James. If the rumors of NY or LA are true, it's impressive how much play this is getting for a guy deciding between two teams that have no chance of contending for an NBA title with or without him.

There would be something very Charlie Brown about Cleveland fans becoming all but convinced Lebron was coming back before he changed his mind at the last minute to go back to the Heat.
