Is chinaski the only one that can do invites? If so, everyone else ignore my message.

I'm fascinated by the fact that I shave that 'stache every night before I go to sleep, but it's back by reveille.

I had a long boring day of working at the mill and guarding the fort.
So I'm asking myself, is this all there is to life?

This is why I need a donkey. I need someone to talk to.

I've been one quadrant NW of our FOFC quadrant for a full day, and making very slow going with both XP and $$. Having a hell of a time getting corn and sugar. Plus I get to guard forts along the way as well. Anyhow, I'm off to bed, I expect that CrimBronco will be up for some more action when I get home from work Friday evening.

There is now a hotel in process at El Dolado. I'll check in 90 minutes when it is done and see how far along it is. I'll also start round 2 at that time.

it was my mistake not to make it better known. I planned on doing the little write up I did tonight yesterday, but got disturbed by real life stuff and when I got online, I completely forgot about it...

Thanks for donating!

reminder to workers about to upgrade a shop:
remember to pray twice before every two hour period of upgrading a shop

It helps get better items out of the shop once it levels up. Probably not as noticeable for level 1, but has been proven to work on higher levels...

El Dolado is pretty much out of money. In 1 hour the hotel will be about 45% done. We'll need around another $400 and about 4 hours of work. I'll queue up 2 hours of something to make money, and I'm sure we've got people on their way to town to make a deposit. We should have the hotel complete mid-day tomorrow assuming sufficient cash flow.

So question:

My current plan is to slowly work my way down to where the towns are (I started pretty much at the top of the map and the towns are at the bottom of the map), allowing me to earn cash and xp along the way.

However, would it make more sense for me to just make a beeline to one of the towns now to deposit cash and then start working around the area?

just accepted Jon's invite and I'm coming with $454 of hard cash to put into the treasury. I'll also put in a couple hours of work on the hotel before heading out to Troutville to sleep it off until I get back online this afternoon. By then, you should be done with the hotel, and probably be close to be done with the general store.

El Dolado - Troutville is about 45 minutes for me and my Pony...

I'd say keep working while you are coming down. Have fun, don't lose one full day of your character simply to walk slowly down to meet us. What I did was set walks of 40 minutes, cut in between with two hour periods of work...

you're probably more in Troutville, or you're sleeping in the rubbles of an unfinished hotel in El Dolado

Chinaski (Van zandt) is the man to ask for an invite to donate in Troutville...

Make sure to donate and then leave the town quick so the town spot is available for the next donator. We only have 5 spots per town at the moment...

How do I find the towns? I don't see any way in game to search for a town name.

click rankings on the top of the right menu, in there on the left, click towns, then search for FOFC in the second search cell at the bottom. Should return you the two FOFC town. Click the brown cross next to one of them and it'll center your map on the town.

I booked my guy for two hours starting at about 6:45 EDT this morning then queued a trip to the hotel, so I'm done after that. You should have at least one more hour of work to put in to get it done completely, maybe an extra 30 minutes session after that...

also, is my guy still showing as being present in El Dolado? do a mouseover on the red character icon to the right of the town and you'll see who's thereat the moment, if there's anybody.

The mouseover thing is also a nice way of seeing if anybody is trying to come and attack us, since an attacker has to be at your town and visit your saloon in order to duel you. Same way, if you want to hit back, you need to go to his town to duel him. Weird thing is you can be dueled even if you're not in town...

should be heading back and be very close to being in Troutville. Can't check at the moment as I can't log in, but as I said, booked the 2 hours of building at about 6:45 (could have been 6:50) and queued a stay at the Troutville hotel with a trek of mayb 45-47 minutes from El Dolado to Troutville.

The hotel shows 66% complete. By my math, that means we've got about 2.5 hours left...and I may have to do one job in the middle to get enough money to finish the last half hour.

yeah, seems about right. You'd done 44% in 3 hours so the 34% left should take you 2.3 hours, or 2.5 with the minimum 30 minutes limit... That's good, means we'll definitely have a hotel tonight, and possibly a general store if we can get some people to donate a bit.

General store should take you maybe 3.75-4 hours to get up, 3 hours for me, based off the fact it took chinaski 3 hours to set the one in Troutville up.

We're getting there, and quickly too. Good job.
