I support reelecting Kwhit our leader as well.

I will be in-and-out from about 1:15 through 4 PM. After work (6 PM) is family time for me, but I should be back online at about 8:30.

9 PM deadline stinks for me.

So, given those constraints, I am happy to serve in any capacity that the party asks of me.

Vote Chesapeake for Liason (x2)

(I have two votes today.)

I don't think we need to re-vote KWhit, we only need to vote if we want him out (and I think we agree it would be best to keep him in for now)

Sorry, long party after the easy reelection win. Finally getting up to speed. Last night kind of sucked for us. Why didn't our slurry attempts have any affect at all? Why did we not hear about the support/slurries until this morning? I don't trust our current leader at this point as it seems that somehow the Republican support/slurry powers actually have an affect while ours don't (if they were even used at all).

vote PackerFanatic leader

They were used and somewhere CR references them (at least some of them). I'll find it.

I gave support for path12 (though he used his ability to sway the election, so this probably doesn't mean anything):

Quote:
FOURTEENTH DISTRICT

path12 won a tight race for re-election. path12 supporters said they felt they got an unexpectedly healthy boost in the polls.

"The fine people of the Fourteenth District have chosen the worthy candidate PackerFanatic to be their choice for the next President of the United States!"

Voting:

PackerFanatic-- 54%
illinifan999--46%

It seems very odd that there is only slight mention of anything that could relate to support/slurry in our favor in the write up while there is a ton of things in the write ups that are in the Republican favor.

Seems like a pretty strong reaction - "I don't trust him at all" - to the fact that I didn't post the support/slurry stuff until it was asked of me. We discussed it yesterday and I got it in to CR as I was leaving work last night. I should have posted it here as well, but I wasn't purposely keeping anything from you.

Well the slurry stuff against PF is in THIS THREAD - not in the main one. So you won't see the slurry stuff I did against the Repubs. So you can't hold that against me.

There is evidence that both PackerFanatic was targeted in the media.

Polling is still pretty much where it was at from the Congressional elections.

Don't forget: you can pick a new Leader today if you want, or leave the current one in power. And your Liaison is currently out of Congress, so you must select a new one.

See? This post is in THE DEM THREAD ONLY - not in the main thread.

So it appears we don't see the effects of the slurries on the Repubs.

Also, the stuff you saw in the write-ups about Chubby and Lathum weren't from slurries or supports anyway - Chubby and Lathum's elections were sabotaged according to them.

So I think your accusations are way off base saying that i'm using the supports/slurries for the wolves.

See what? It doesn't say how there was an affect from the media and it doesn't even seem to be a complete sentence as it declared both PF...

This also conveniently came out before you said what you "did".

Either way it's obviously time for a change in leadership as our leader could barely win his election and we are losing ground quickly in the polls. Are we going to follow this leader into the ground?

Huh? Are you at all paying attention?

One of your 'arguments' against me is that we're not seeing any of the effects from slurries but we see all kinds of effects from the republicans.

My response was to show you that we won't see the results from the slurries AT ALL since they're posted in the individual party threads and not the main thread. It has NOTHING to do with when that post was made that I quoted.

How so? You clearly aren't following my logic here, so maybe I'm not explaining myself well enough.

What exactly gives you an indication that I'm somehow lying about how I'm using my slurries?

There are now 3 GOP members on record verifying KWhit. And if they are wolves and lying, the rest of the GOP would now know it.

You made a fair accusation, EF -- and I had been silent for a while because I wanted to see how it played out. But the evidence offered by the other party seems solid.

Read the main thread. I explained it there completely.

I also don't understand how putting a vote on someone other than Clap (WHO WAS PROVEN TO BE A VILLAGER) makes me somehow suspicious.

PLease say something in the main thread so everyone knows, K.

Are we cool with PF being our speaker nominee? I am. He's our most popular guy, so putting him out there could have some electoral benefit for us.

This game is not easy. With players like PB and Mrs Schmidty staying out of the main thread it's really hard to get a read on them. Mrs Schmidty had played a much more visible game but with two threads maybe she is in the other thread. PB is usually much more vocal too, but that usually leads to him giving himself away (from what I have seen).

Right now Tyrinth is on my suspect list but I know some of that may be politics but the arguements he is making on some issues are making me suspect him.

The re-elections are tomorrow so we need to get those of us who have lost seats back in power.

We also need ideas for today's bills.

I would like to see the National Health care bill passed to allow for a healer.

From the rules, the Healer is the second most liberal role (after Bodyguard). Here is the description:
Quote:
Healer/Herbalist (can heal a person attacked by the wolves)

I assume this person has to name the person they want to 'heal' by the end of the day deadline like a bodyguard would.

OK. I didn't know if the healer had to guess beforehand who might be hurt or if s/he healed someone hurt at some cost to him/herself.

Heinz seems to have just been playing from a more political angle at times. I'm not sure if that changes my suspicion of him or not.

So far, I'm getting a villager vibe from Pass, but that is probably just because he's played more bi-partisan, so I don't know.

The post of Heinz's I highlighted earlier this morning in the main thread still says a lot to me. Virtually all of it was made-up crap, and the intended effect was to stir up more partisan dischord, which benefits the wolves.

Can someone clarify for me that the healer's role is to take a guess in the night phase as to whom the wolves will attack, and if correct, to mitigate the damage?

I think it's only been in one game I've ever played so I don't know for sure.

That was just a guess, but CR would probably say we can write it however we want, but to be cautious of the courts.

Here's a potential Doctor bill:

NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE BILL

WHEREAS, we are all endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, including Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. This Congress believes that the second and third are currently cared for. Liberty? Well, we got that statue. Pursuit of Happiness? Internet porn (I rest my case). However, the first right is under attack from the Wolf threat.

BE IT RESOLVED:

Nationally sponsored and supported healthcare is hereby established for all citizens (as long as you're a Congressman and not a member of the Wolf Party). This mechanism allows for a member of congress to be named as "Doctor" and granted certain special attributes:

1) The Doctor may choose one Congressperson per night to protect.
2) If the protected Congressperson is attacked, the Doctor will be there to save him or her (percentage chance to be determined by CR).

The Doctor shall be chosen randomly by our Creator from the pool of non-Wolf members of Congress who do not currently possess another role created by a previous bill.
