The funniest thing about Gorsuch is he's a staunch conservative judge who turns into the farthest left judge on any issue regarding Native Americans.

Other countries have these things. It would probably be best if they didn't waste billions constantly overthrowing and destabilizing countries around the world, and then having to spend more billions in defense to protect against these same countries.

Never thought it would happen, but with Trump only getting 31% in the latest CNN poll it's near certain that he's going to be in the 20s before long.

He has a decent percentage of those who truly do love him (maybe 20%?) I feel like the rest who support him know in their heart of hearts he is terrible but can't come to admitting it, I do think we all need to continue to give an off ramp to those people and not hold our noses because they had supported trump.

That would mean convincing the vast majority of this country on both sides of the aisle that using "their" money on those things is a benefit to the country and not some handout or forced charity for people who are underserving and/or unworthy of such benefit. We are not lacking these things because of a lack of resources. We are lacking these things because we don't believe "those other people" who live here are worthy of getting those things.

Ironically, prisoners get basically free healthcare. They may pay a very small fee for visits they initiate themselves, but the bulk of their medical needs are provided free of charge.

During my little experiment listening to FOX News on my drive home about a week ago, this is exactly the strategy they were using with immigration. Democrats are protesting ICE, therefore they want open borders and want criminals to come across and rape your kids. I was trying to understand how the other side sees things. I couldn't believe it. I made it about 20 minutes before needing to change the channel.

I can't imagine having that job. Knowing you have to file all of these frivolous lawsuits that you know are doomed, then getting smacked down immediately, thus pissing off Trump.

Compound that with anyone competent leaving the DOJ and having to criticize all the activist judges I can't even imagine.

I doubt it.

I think he is going to continue to blame out allies while claiming energy independence. I honestly don't think he gets that oil is a global market.

What will be more interesting is if gas prices are still over $4 come memorial day.

Same thing in Canada. We get our own oil in Alberta, but good luck getting the private oil companies to sell for anything less than the global price.

It likely ends up with all these countries individually negotiating with Iran for access. Iran asks either for a toll or for it to eschew the petrodollar. Just an insane way to destroy your own economy.

Good riddance to the worst Attorney General we've ever had-you had better hope Trump pardons you for what you did with the Epstein files and just about everything you tried to do.

This is one of those situations where he would rather twist himself into a pretzel than admit he is wrong. Like the tariffs' impact on farmers. His solution is to subsidize the farmers. I could see the same here - pay off the oil companies to make our gas prices cheaper.

They're already doing that by buying oil futures.

I think Bondi was fired as a way to justify her not being deposed over Epstein. House GOPers are saying there's no need for her to testify now that she isn't AG.

So the Pentagon had a Good Friday Service today in its chapel-but it was for Protestants not Catholics, and they are not having a separate one for Cathoilics. So now apparently only Protestants can fight for us.

He obviously doing multiple things. Iran has declined a cease fire offer, and he has been holed up in Oval Office all day, and he has just called in the full national security team. I have a feeling something big is about to go down.

If Obama had posted a message that included "Hell will reign," MAGA media would spend the next twenty years talking about it.

I wouldn't go that far. They're still executing people for speaking out against their government, executing people for being gay, and are generally shitty. We're just bad guys too.

On a related note, China now has a higher global approval rating than us. Are we great yet?

The Trump march to the church and Bible photo op seems quaint in retrospect. Six years later, he's swearing and praising Allah on Easter.

Did we seriously send our Vice President to Hungary, while we're at war, to campaign for their current authoritarian President at a rally ahead of of elections?
