Bullet, I think this was after Sn woke up that Talgian gave the order. We know you did get the order, KWhit's question was the timing since he asked to have Sn scanned while he was still out. Damn, this is going to be a confusing game. I even tried to put a spreadsheet together for a change and I think it's totally fucked already.

ok im not sure if i was clear.
I was ordered to Probe SnDVls and i did (automaticaly) and he came back clean and isnt a spawn or spawnling. btw if i probe a spawn i will die, but if i probe a spawnling i will spot him and have a chance to change him back to normal. And i was attacked when the ship was attacked today, not last night. i just made an assumption when i first read my PM before i read the 7 new pages |

Vote Tyrith It's meta, but I just can't help but notice the difference between this game and last in his participation.

Ok, caught up. I don't like Hoops reason for being exhausted. There is no reason for an engineer to think he will be attacked randomly out of 4 engineers. He is the most suspicious since SnDvls has been cleared.

So, does anyone have any guesses on the current number of baddies?

Surprisingly, not that much to read up on over the last two hours.
Path's observation on Tyrith's lack of participation is right in line with something I had thought about on the train ride earlier today. As of this moment, I'm not going to vote in that direction but I'm definitely surprised at the lack of posts from Tyrith so far this game. For today, I'm going to cast a vote towards my old buddy Raiders Army. It is uncanny how many games we end up playing on opposite teams (I'll probably faint if I ever learn I'm on the same team as him AND Alan T, but I digress). He also came out early today suggesting that I'm either a spawn or going to be soon, and suggested that the spawn have veteran leadership. Not a ton to go on, but there are more people that I trust right now than distrust. VOTE RAIDERS ARMY |

I really have nothing concrete to go on (like everyone else), but I don't like how hard Blade has been going after SnDvls, especially after some info I got earlier.
Yes, I agree that there is a chance that SnDvls is infected, but I know that he doesn't know it even if he is. Blade seems to be pushing extremely hard onto such an obvious target. Plus, I have to vote for Blade - This is WW. Vote Blade |

Since most of the security staff it going to be AWOL tonight due to prior sleeping arrangements would somone on the command staff be kind enough to order my phasers out and give me one, that way I could use some of my other powers tonight and...you know....actually protect something.

I'm not sure who to vote for at this point, but I understand we need to establish voting patterns. I'm a good guy (at least at this point). I'm intrigued as to why hoops voted for me. Was it because I believed that if you weren't bad now, you'll be bad soon?
Anyhow, I'm not going to throw another vote in there for him. UNVOTE NO VOTE VOTE DUBB It has to be a veteran player out there who is pulling the strings for the spawn. If not hoops or SnDvls, then I have to lean towards dubb. |

Raiders, it was a combination of the idea that I would be converted soon and the repetition of the theme that I'm a likely adversary over a short series of posts that made me nervous about you. Doesn't mean you are spawn, but it is enough to get my vote there for now.

I could easily be swayed from sndvls if there is a good option out there, although I have the feeling that, after today's events, he is going to be a guy that I doubt until proven innocent or guilty.

Well, I'm willing to move, but I guess it depends where. I mentioned earlier that I find it very unlikely that SnDvls was converted today, if for no other reason the the obviousness of it. If we're going to fall down in convulsions and head pain when we're converted it's gonna be pretty damn easy to pick out what's going on, don't you think? So I don't think that's an option for me. I might be persuaded to go for Blade, he's a private and as far as we know doesn't have a big role and he was pushing the whole Sn thing pretty hard........but that's just Blade also, and he did make some valid points. The other person I could be talked into would be hoops. I think Fouts makes a good point about the exhaustion last night......there are four of us engineers and there wasn't a specific reason or threat that necessarily would warrant staying awake. The cons to that argument are: Hoops is incredibly valuable if he's on our side, he's an engineer, and he is hoops -- you have to figure him to be a target at some point so I can understand his decision somewhat.

I'm also willing to try and help us build a consensus. Not sure I want to do it around Blade and I already have my vote on Raiders.
From a public role perspective, we obviously have more concerns if Raiders is a spawn than if Blade is a spawn - water dude vs private. But we also have some additional flexibility this game in terms of shifting people to new roles, so I don't think there is too high a risk in going after someone if we think they are guilty. Updated vote count that I have (not 100% sure of it, but ...) SnDvls - Swaggs (481), Blade (504) Blade - SnDvls (617), Schmidty (718), Anxiety (721) Raiders - Bullet (706), Hoops (712), Dubb (733) Tyrith - Path (707) Hoops - Fouts (709) Dubb - Raiders (723) |

So what's the argument for Raiders? I'll go back through the relevant posts, but it seems to be more gut feel than anything specific.

I would also prefer not to go after SnDvls, not because of the obviousness of it (path's argument) but because we have people vouching for each other at the moment. Alliances can shift quickly in a game where conversions are prominent, but right now we have bullet vouching for CW (scanned Day 1 after mission) and SnDvls (scanned Day 2 after his epileptic fit) and SnDvls vouching for Bullet (duplicant). So with that in mind I have no interest in chasing any of these three. Anyone else, excluding me, and I'm willing to take a hard look down that path.

Path, I'll agree that the Raiders argument is gut feel. And I wish we were in a position to have more than gut feel to work with on Day 2, but I'm not sure that we do when evaluating potentially guilty parties. The stuff I put in Post #739 is why I believe certain people are survivors, but at the moment I don't have anything that looks like a trail of evidence pointing at a spawn.

Bullets vote for RA is gut, hoops is gut plus the veteran leadership for the spawn theory (which would of course eventually point back to hoops) and dubbs seems to be retalitory.
Not enough there for me to switch.

Path, I would like to see us move towards a consensus and I don't think it is going to happen on Tyrith. I haven't seen him in the thread today so I'm going to cut him a little bit of slack.
So, do you have any other candidates that you feel good about taking a shot on? |

Looks like we had a crosspost there, hoops.
I'm fine with not voting for SnDvls, CW or bulletsponge for the reasons you said. We've got 19 players, so we would need 7 for a successful lynch if I read the rules correctly. I can't go RA for the reasons I said above. I think the only possible consensus today would be Blade by the looks of it.

OK, lets get my devious little mind going - what are your thoughts on the wounded guys? All legit, by virtue of being wounded, or should we still be suspicious that a spawn may have faked being wounded in the middle of their Overlord attack?

If it was someone besides Blade, I would argue that a spawn would not want to draw too much attention on themselves with a Day 2 pissing match. But I'm not sure Blade can stay out of the spotlight even if he wants to

Could they fake? I wonder.
Along those same speculative lines, what do you think about the whole KWhit/Talgian episode surrounding the order to scan SnDvls?
