I wasn't able to see the game last night, so I am not sure how the game was. But I fully expected a comfortable Packers win. NFC is very interesting this year.

You've got the Cowboys and the Rams as the 1/2 and then a LOT of teams that could make a claim for being in the mix.

Arthur Blank does not strike me as a rash or impulsive owner.

But if things keep going this way, I don't see how Dan Quinn lasts 16 games.

Patriots just set a huge pick on the Bills player. Bills review and the refs dont change the call. Way to be consistent refs!!!

It’s sorta like the Dutch “complete football” concept. With this QB, could be awfully tough to defend.

What they're doing is interesting and Harbaugh is using it effectively.

Power running game with speed all over the place. Lamar Jackson is accurate enough to get the ball to their weapons, but his ball placement is off on nearly every throw. It's probably the best offense you could build around a player with his skillset. They don't really have a go to guy at receiver, which probably helps this offense.

I love Harbaugh's aggressiveness in going for 2 as well. With their personnel it's almost impossible to defend. Down 2 TDs in this game against Cleveland they score and go for 2. They easily make it, which cuts the lead to 6. Cleveland scores again and feel compelled to go for 2 as well to get it back to 14 and fail. They're going to lost this game but Harbaugh is maximizing every advantage they have.

If coach of the year was based on the job you're doing as a coach and not simply wins/losses Harbaugh would be in the discussion this year.

It's early, and it's Chase Daniels, but thus far he is a helluva lot more accurate than Trubisky on his best day.

Goff is such a bizarre Jekyll and Hyde QB. You could still convince me he’s a below average QB playing in a perfect offensive system, a potentially great young QB who is wildly inconsistent due to his experience or anywhere in between. He looks absolutely horrendous today.

Yeah he looks like some talentless madden player’s QB out there the way he keeps chucking ducks and missing wide open dudes. He might actually be awful, which is hilarious since he’s owed 100M+ guaranteed

I didnt really pay much attention to that game but shouldn't a lot of blame be placed on the defense giving up 55 points to the Bucs? I mean if you feel Goff is bad I think you need to watch some Cousins....

28 points off turnovers, including 21 in the first half. The defense was horrific, but Goff was just handing them the ball or missing receivers right and left when the game really mattered. The comeback (and throwing the ball 70 freaking times) made his numbers look better, but he absolutely lost them that game right there.

Burfict deserves that, but I don't even think it was the worst hit of the day. That was on the Rams TD INT return right after he crossed the goal line, yet somehow wasn't even flagged or mentioned by the announcers...

Yeah that hit was a disgrace made worse by the fact the hitter outweighed him by at least 100 lbs. If there’s a template on how somebody dies on the field I imagine it looks a lot like that.

But hey, offense good, protect offense, defense bad I guess?

If they want to review interference, they might as well be able to review holding too.

Who ever could have guessed that a knee jerk reaction to an egregious call that tries to overturn a judgement call based on clear and indisputable evidence wouldn't work very well.

Looking forward to the inevitable expansion into other fouls and the same hand wringing in a few years when we realize it still hasn't fixed a damn thing.

I don't know that Dalton is actually that bad. He is a mid to low-level NFL starter.

The 2nd drive of the game after the fumble when the Bengals were setup at the Steeler 15, he puts a ball perfectly into the end zone that Tyler Eifert just drops.

He was sacked 8 times, partially his fault due to holding the ball, but he isn't mobile.

This is the worst Bengals O-line I can ever remember. Not a single one of those guys that started last night is an NFL worthy starter. Their O-line drafting in the past 4-5 years has been 100% busts. The guy they traded for last year to help, Cordy Glenn, who had a long injury history is (surprise!) injured.

Even during the terrible 90's, they had Willie Anderson, who was a 3x All Pro and a couple other decent pieces on the line, they just had no skill players (besides the odd WR and Corey Dillon).

Dalton IS good for at least one momentum killing turnover per game.

And as already mentioned, the Bengals defense is one of the worst in the NFL. That said, they will win at least 2 games.

The problem for the Bengals is Mike Brown. We all kind of forgot that because he lucked into Marvin Lewis, but this team is unlikely to be good as long as MB is running things. I knew it was time to fire Marvin, but I also knew it was likely that the next coach would be much worse.

This feels like David Shula 2.0.

Were Vikes fans ever warm to Cousins? I think the OL is terrible & he gets too much blame, but ever since he was signed over Bridgewater/Keenum even his defenders were saying he's a marginal upgrade and very overpaid.

Lot of online speculation Diggs may be traded soon (based off one tweet emoji).

Speaking of mediocre & overpaid QB's, Andy Dalton made 3 Pro Bowls (all within his first 6 seasons)!?! Granted, he never threw more than 20 TD's in any of those seasons, and had a QB rating under 92 every season he made it, but good for him.

Cousins just cant come through when it matters. It has gradually become worse ever since the Seattle game last year. That Diggs stuff is pure stupid. He is frustrated just like 52 other Viking players. Vikings have no desire to trade him and there have been zero indications that he wants to leave Minnesota.

The only trade I could think of him even being remotely discussed in would be Ramsey because of Zimmers hard ons for corners and the Vikings being cash strapped. Still they cant afford to give up Diggs and leave Treadwell as their other starting WR all while paying a quarterback 28 million per season.

Bottom Line: I was behind Cousins last year as fans were turning on him. This year I have soured on him as well. He doesnt do anything special and is even less special when they need him to earn the 28 million a year he is making. The Vikings are loaded with offensive weapons and a strong defense. He has no excuses for not being able to lead a winner.

That 2011 Pro Bowl season should probably lead to the Pro Bowl just being shut down and certainly never again mentioned for HOF or general players rating purposes - 58% completion percentage, 20 TD to 13 INT and a QB rating just a little bit better than the legendary Tavaris Jackson, who sadly didn't make it to the Pro Bowl in the face of such stiff competition.

Also while QB Rating isn't a perfect stat here's Dalton's finishes overall among qualifiers since 2011:
20-13-15-25-2-20-24-13-26 (incomplete)

Mid tier starter is just too high for him IMO, when you consider he basically adds zero value with his legs and takes some of the most sacks in the league (which isn't accounted for in those numbers). I'm pretty confident he grades out to bottom 5-10 in the league over his career.

Replacement selection in 2011 and 2014.

Actually picked in 2016 buuuuut ... By QBR the AFC chose from
Brady, Carr, Luck, Mariotta, Ben, Tannehill, Dalton, Alex Smith
Brady, Carr, and Ben were chosen but did not play
Dalton, Smith, and Rivers ended up as the AFC QBs

Luck finished the season but had shoulder surgery shortly after
Mariotta was injured in game 15,missed game 16
Tannehill was hurt in game 14, missed rest of season

And there's the way Dalton became a 3-time "pro-bowler"

Oh for sure. For QB's especially it's become a joke lately. (Amusingly, Dalton actually had 2 pretty good seasons, neither of which he made the Pro Bowl, though one was only 13/16 games.)

Also, Patriots might have the best secondary in the league, I don't think anyone got hurt, and we just signed Jordan Richards. Whyyyyyyyyyy?

Sources -- Vikings fine Stefon Diggs over $200,000 for unexcused absences from practice, meetings

Doesn't sound like they want to trade him, but yeah that's not ideal...

Nagy thought it'd be a good idea for the Bears to show up in London on Friday and they're playing like it.

Meanwhile, Gruden had the Raiders there early this week because of his experience arriving on Friday last year.

And he's ok, but who knows how long he'll be out. The team turns to an undrafted rookie free agent from Stanford. Bet they wish they had Dobbs now.
