I'd honestly rather they not even try. They suck pretty bad at it when they do.

Would people really sit around and watch music video after music video if MTV still did that?

It seems like they've evolved with the times quite appropriately

Sportscenter anymore doesn't even try to hype up the games, with all the info you can get online and even on their own bottomline... they usually don't try to protect you from the outcome, often telling me the result of a baseball game as they are showing the highlights in the 2nd inning

These days they're too busy trying to hype Tom Cruise movies.

I wish I could select what city my local channels are from, from the cable company. I could care less about the goings on here in the bay area other than weather and traffic and would much rather see what's going on in San Diego.

Drove from Vegas to LA last week... Literally sat through 50+ miles of traffic on the 15. Why you ask? Bc of a damn Agricultural Checkpoint located in the middle of a highway like a damn toll booth. Pretty much the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, and I officially declare California roads the gayest in all the land.

See, in Arizona, they don't want illegal humans (darker colored people). In California, they don't want any illegal fruits or vegetables (non-human).

As stated already, California has a pretty heavy agricultural industry and can't afford influences from outside of the state, into the state. We also don't allow Ferret's in state either

Isn't so much "illegal" as "from out-of-state."

They don't want non-native insects and such decimating the agricultural population.

A little bit. I kindof enjoy the act of sleeping but I feel like I waste a lot of time that way. I mean, I understand the need for a mental and physical break but 8 hours? That's a lot of the day wasted there.

That is true, but, we Californians call them the "Illegal Fruit and Vegetable Check Points".

If you want to see sad, mental illness on display, check this out. I would feel sad for this person if he wasn't trying to spread this stupidity (and people were buying it):

[Ed] All 43 videos "Second Hit"" [Explosion]at WTC 2: Plane or No Plane? - JREF Forum

He is attempting to go through 43 videos of the planes hitting WTC 2 and using them as evidence that no planes hit the WTC.

When I'm watching something I've recorded on my DVR, I almost always forget that I can zip through the ads, so end up watching most of them. When I am watching live TV, I almost always try to zip through the ads, forgetting it's live TV.

I do the same thing, but sometimes when I try to fast forward through live TV it works because I had forgotten that I had paused it previously.

I was completely unaware that ABC pulled Happy Town yet again. Here I thought my DVR was on the fritz again.

Ha ha ha

I'm taking a Zumba class and the shoes I'm wearing make it really hard to move my feet (they're shock absorbers). I heard shoe companies actually make dancing shoes and was considering getting some.

motherfucking yes.

Did one of these a couple months ago....didn't work. Of course it's remote powered, so you can't flip a switch to test it. I take it down. Reinstall, tighten connections, still doesn't work. Turns out the battery that was in the box had died, once I replaced it, worked fine.

Yet still a motherfucker of a job, and my arms hurt every time I messed with it.

I actually needed to relax and get the job done. I bought a 5 minute fan by Hunter, and it took about 1 1/2 hours. AFTER I figured out the wiring coming out of my ceiling. Turns out red is switched hot, and black is constant hot. I wasn't sure, so I stopped Saturday night, and asked an electrician in church on Sunday.

I have to confess, I don't get the Sad Keanu meme at all. I don't get what's funny. At least the other pics that have been turned into internet phenomena were funny. I don't get this one.

At least it's being put to good use, though (funding cancer research).

A windex bottle is all you need to kill a wasp on your bathroom mirror. Spray him good and he falls down. Spraying him a couple more times once he's down doesn't kill him but putting the windex bottle with a cupped bottom on top of him makes him drown.
