73-Year-Old, Sold Pot And Had Illegal Guns In Oklahoma, Cops Say

Quote:
"That was quite a surprise," Vinita Police Chief Bobby Floyd told The Daily, an iPad-only news site. "She is in very good shape for her age."

Interesting piece of this wonderful article.

Surprised that she's in such good shape for her age? What an odd context to note such a thing.

Or surprised that she had that much pot in her house? What does her being such great shape have to do with that?

The hilarious part of it is that Johnston is a transgender born female now male and the wife is transgender born male now female.

And...a local radio station is having a great time with all of this. Including, this morning, asking Katherine to call in if s/he's listening.

They were offering two tickets to tonights Pens-Flyers playoff game if s/he agreed to wear a Scott Hartell jersey.

A woman I work with was standing right next to the guy when this happened.

Quote:
A Roanoke, Va., man and his wife were recovering after he accidentally shot himself and her during a firearms safety class.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office tells media outlets that Michael L. Deel shot himself in the hand with a .45-caliber handgun. The bullet also struck his wife, Michelle, in the leg as she was sitting beside him.

The incident occurred Saturday during a firearms safety class at a residence. The instructor, Thomas Starke, told police he’d left the room and then heard a shot.

The Deels were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Michael Deel says the shooting was a “stupid accident.”

Russian Man Trademarks Beard

Quote:
Pugach, whose real first name is obscured by those two initials and whose last name (perhaps adopted) means “scarecrow,” claims to have trademarked a certain beard: the type with no sideburns that covers just the chin and the patch above the upper lip. He says this beard is the exclusive province — even a “racial attribute” — of the Russian people and maintains a Web site that rants about violations of his exclusive rights to it. In his opinion, misuse of the beard, which includes its being worn by non-Russians, amounts to “genocide” (his term).

“I reprimand Barak Obama for delaying the punishment of Muammar el-Qaddafi, enemy of the Russian people, for illegally wearing the beard,” Pugach has written. He has also chided the French and Egyptian crowns and challenged the Russian Orthodox Church.

Dufus trying to burn toilet paper = $2.7M fine

Where are the $50B fines for Bernie Madoff and Tony Heyward?

For the $3T+ damage from the 2008 Financial crisis, you can just split it between the executive officers of Goldman Sachs, BOA, JP Morgan, Chase, Fannie/Freddie, WaMu, Merrill, Lehman, and AIG.

Dentist Pulls Out Ex-Boyfriend’s Teeth in Act of Revenge | fox4kc.com – Kansas City news & weather from WDAF TV – FOX 4

Quote:
WROCLAW, Poland — Oh, the fury of a woman scorned. A 45-year-old Polish man now knows a woman’s wrath after his ex-girlfriend (and dentist) removed all of his teeth.
Anna Mackowiak, took advantage of a heavy dose of anesthetic and removed Marek Olszewski’s pearly whites. Every last one of them.
The couple had separated just days before. Olszewski, who was suffering from a toothache, said since Mackowiak was a “professional”, he had no reason to think anything would go wrong.
But it did.
“I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions, but when I saw him lying there I just thought, ‘What a bastard,’” Mackowiak told the Daily Mail.
She then locked the door and plucked out Olszewski’s teeth one by one.
Mackowiak then wrapped his jaw in bandages. When he woke up, she told him there had been some complications and suggested he wait until he was home to remove the bandages.
“I knew something was wrong because when I woke up I couldn’t feel any teeth and my jaw was strapped up with bandages,” Olszewski told the Daily Mail.
Olszewski, outraged at his new-found misfortune, used expletives to recount what happened. He added that his new girlfriend dumped him after learning he was now toothless.
As for Mackowiak, she is being investigated for medical malpractice and could face up to three years in prison.

U.S. News - Mom, son killed in car accidents hours apart in Wisconsin

Mom, drinking, lays down in road and is run over by car driven by a likely drunk driver. Son is driven to the hospital at a high rate of speed by friend, who is also drunk, and is killed when HIS drunk driver/buddy gets into an accident.

West Allis, Wisconsin must be a pretty depressing place to live.

Airport cheerleaders an added perk? - CNN.com

Quote:
While some Chinese travelers storm the tarmac when flights get delayed, others might wish their flights never take off -- assuming they're flying from the northeast China city of Dalian.

To entertain waiting passengers, Dalian International Airport recently recruited a squad of cheerleaders to perform kicks, jumps and splits in the airport's main hall.

Finally, a Shark With a Laser | Gadget Lab | Wired.com

Quote:
Marine biologist-cum-TV personality Luke Tipple attached a 50-milliwatt green laser to a lemon shark off the coast of the Bahamas in late April. The escapade was sponsored by Wicked Lasers, a consumer-focused laser manufacturer based in Hong Kong that produces some of the most brilliant — and potentially dangerous — handheld lasers in the world.

“This was definitely a world first,” Tipple told Wired. “Initially, I told them no. I thought it was a frivolous stunt. But then I considered that it would give us an opportunity to test our clips and attachments, and whatever is attached to that clip, I really don’t care. It was a low-powered laser that couldn’t be dangerous to anyone, and there’s actually useful applications in having a laser attached to the animal.”

nothing to see here people, just a shark with a laser on his back, please move on ...

Meet-An-Inmate.Com: Ranker Rates Top Most Beautiful Women Behind Bars (PICTURES)

Quote:
We’re a planet of list-makers, of voters, we like to group things into top tens, top 100s, best ever and worst ever.

So it should come as no surprise that hot on the heels of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women In The World list, is a vote on the sexiest dame in prison.

Yes, you read that right. Lonely jailbirds across America have online profiles and dammit, they’re HOT!

According to the good people at Ranker, the accolade of sexiest jailbird goes to Renee Bell, a 33-year-old who is “in search of a real man for friendship, companionship and possibly more. Must be stable in all ways, willing to take on the responsibility of having a woman in prison."
