Despite initially focusing on blade, hoops decided at some point in day 1 that he was probably OK and moved on to other targets. So if st.cronin is deciding not to go after Blade, then he is going along with hoops.

Things that have been mentioned: * Ellipses in posts * The word "strange" * Italics in posts (which I don't think was serious) Plus there was the obvious fishing expedition yesterday afternoon by st.cronin which appeared to get a submission by DodgerChick (and, subsequently, she withdrew from the game in remorse). If there were additional folks playing along with it, there was nothing that registered with me, so I hope I didn't miss one of my compatriots.

Dola, I don't recall seeing anybody claiming DC as a sister... did I miss anything, or did that just pass without comment?

Alright, I'm off to dinner with my staff in a few mintues and should be back around 7 ish or so. In the meantime, I want to explore a couple of things,
Namely: 1) Theories on why there was no kill tonight. I want to hear from more people than the few who have already spoke on this issue - new people and such. 2) Anybody who thinks we shouldn't off Qwik tonight. If you fall into one of these categories, then step right up.

Anxiety-
I voted to leave qwik jailed for now, I'm not vouching for him I am just unsure of where to go with him so I am trying to take nuetral ground by leaving him in prison for now. IMO if he is an assasin we can lynch him in a day or so when we will have more points to go on. I still am a little confused about the points system but it seems we may get more info by waiting a little longer to execute someone. |

hoops you seem to have a good grasp of this game and the points. I'm sure you've done a breakdown on an "assumed" point total for some people. What would you say is the chance that a noble is crowned king if qwik is killed today?

He mentioned a major victory, but you're also correct about this. However, I think it's a questionable strategy; the assassins have to think there's at least one fast-talker out there to be converted (opening the major victory), and the more nobles fall, the greater weight their own votes carry, plus the closer they get to a parity victory. I don't think it ever makes sense for the killing side in one of these games to not attempt a kill, except in the cases where they have an alternate, non-kill action.

I'm not hoops, but I do have a strong opinion on this: while the points system is devised to encourage "good" voting, I think it's highly unlikely that it would be structured such that the game could end on the third vote of the game.

What do you want to hear that you haven't already heard? The possible reasons for no kill on a night are: * Attempt on someone protected * Attempt on a fast talker, who is converted as a result * Attempt by the guy that results in a kill in the next night instead of this one * Plant evidence in lieu of an attempt * No action Are you looking for arguments for or against the last? I've already posted mine, and I'd assume I'm not one of the "usual suspects", but I'll reiterate that I think this is unlikely. I think we have a combination of two out of the previous four, so we should be strongly considering the possibility that someone has been turned.

You missed the part where there's a threshold point value that the factions need to make. The totals to achieve are by faction AFAIK, not by person.

I dont know either way on qwikshot, and said i was trying to decide if my faction leader is telling me he is the sneaky noble or just guessing entirely. Either way we go on qwikshot, i dont think it hurts for me to cast my vote on grey. I have not seen him claimed by anyone either, so my message is enough for now:
VOTE JAIL GREYROOFOO

MrW just made the point that I was going to - we have to execute someone to learn about how many factions are in the game and what the current points are for each faction.
So if someone is willing to step up and claim Qwikshot, then I'll consider not voting to execute. But otherwise, we need to get some understanding of where we are at with points. Qwik has had 24+ hours to come in and stand up for himself as well. If he is in line to be executed as a good guy he could at least share his perspective on the game, any special roles, whatever. Give us something to believe in if you are going out due to poor voting. I'm planning to post quite a bit when I get home today after a very busy afternoon at the office. |

Hoops is right in one regard, we need to find out how amny factions we have and what kind of points there are. That should help us dramatically in figuring out some circles of trust.

DC strongly tied herself to cronin. Cronin for the most part has avoided the subject, becuase unlike yesterday he doesnt have pressure upon himself.

To me it either means he was under pressure and another assasin came to his aid, and now that they are in danger they are laying low. Or it means that they share a faction and really were trying to share code. DC leaving confused me heavily, as i didnt see some big mistake she made, so i dont know what to think of st. cronin.

We have a tie for jailing right now...execute is seemingly a foregone conclusion now, but in regards to jailing some people need to start picking one or the other(king or grey)
