I tend to think that powers being blocked are in no way determinative about a person, any more than Duking is determinative.

Also, I think hoops should remain in the frame.

I want to reiterate. My power was blocked on Night 1, but I was also attacked and basically had one of my powers changed for the worse. It's not just that I was blocked. Though nobody has come out to say they attacked me, I don't necessarily know if someone would.

Lathum, Path, MrW - have any of you guys played with Clap before as a wolf? As a villager? I don't have a read on his "wolf game" vs his "villager game" from the little bit of reading along that I've done for games he has played.

I think this is his third game here? I think he's been a villager. I also think he's consistently been suspicious.

Truthfully, I don't think I have a good read on him at all yet.

Path, is this the first time you have shared this information? I recall you posting that your powers were altered (wanted to scan me, got a lesser power as a result) but the description above sounds like several events took place around you?

I didn't get anything in exchange for the scan. The power I lost and had replaced was a different one. I'm just assuming the attack was what caused the scan to fail. Our illustrious GM assures me that I have all the information I'm going to get on this.

Path, I guess I just read it differently as you posted it here and it caught me off-guard. It sounded like a bunch of activities around you rather than one player acting on you.

Path, let me re-phrase: what was the power you gained in place of the scan? Second, was that alternate power still directed at me? If there is a strategic reason not to say, so be it. If not, I'm interested.

I gained nothing in place of the scan. I started with four separate powers, let's call them A B C D. Let's say the scan was A.

Night 1, I used scan A on hoops.

The result I got back talked about the invasion, and said that I had lost power B, however it was replaced by power E and that the scan A had failed.

So now I have C D and E for powers. I used C last night to no avail, so now I'm down to D and E.

Swaggs, if/when you show up, have you had a ritual performed against you at any point this game?

I get that. Last night I lamented that I didn't like the two candidates we had in the tie because there was some action trail around them. We don't have it on these guys, for better or worse, so I think there is a slightly better chance that one of them is an Avatar.

I don't think that either of the two guys who don't have their votes in right now are good bets to be back before deadline, which means that we will end up with a tie if people don't move their votes. I'm a little concerned about outright randomness on the tie-break process based on how our moderator is wired

Yeah, I'm kind of wary of the tiebreak procedure also. On one hand, we get an insight into it, but on the other....who knows what the Trout will do? I think if they don't show up we might want to decide on one or the other.

I think the argument is that they feel you look more suspicious than I do. If you're not an avatar, I'm sure the avatars are finding the whole thing quite amusing as they waltz to a victory.

Since my vote is on the other guy I'm not the one you need to pursuade. However, I think the argument is that:
1.) We don't have any kind of vouch for you
2.) The power you have reported using didn't work, and is being reported differently than others who may have been blocked as well

With Cronin and Path, they knew their powers had been altered. Schmidty hasn't posted enough detail on his power being "stolen" to really compare notes with your story. I think if someone else had a similar experience to yours it would help your credibility a great deal.
