But the beauty of this game is that while it may currently be the GA Tech logo, it doesn't have to be.

Its customizable, baby.

I feel a bit like I did some years ago when I had a curiosity about $cientology writings. I was really interested (intellectually) in what it was all about, and wanted to read Dianetic$, but the thought of my money going to them revulsed me. Eventually a used bookstore resolved the issue. Maybe I'd need to do something along similar lines here.

I'm sure I'll have a copy for sale a couple days after I get my hands on this thing.

Fighting university lawyers over trademark violations is not how I would want to spend my time and money. But Matrix Games' milage must vary on that score.

They're just American colleges, and therefore insignificant. Now, if they stole the logo of the University of Calgary, that would be another story entirely.

What do you want to bet that Matrix Games drops DW from their roster of programmers once this debacle's over?

I'm interested in seeing some independent reviews for this game. I'm sure the 7 guys that post on the Maximus Football boards will love the game, but I'm curious to see how it goes over with others who pick it up expecting a modern day FPS Football type game.

Do you really think that there will be more than 7 guys that buy this game?

I'm sure there will be idiots who have the biggest itch to play a 'football' game again that will buy it..other than that, four people.

You people are clearly underestimating the vast untapped market for the ability to use canadian rules.

Of course we're all making the huge assumption that this game will be released at some point, and we all know what happens when you assume.

I have a CFL t-shirt that says "Radically Canadian" on the front and "It's called The Rouge. Get the point?" on the back.

I've never been in huge favor of Jim's 'silent til it's ready' way of releasing games but boy if DW isn't the posterboy for reasons staying quiet til a game is ready then nobody is.

Yeah, I almost bought that shirt when I ordered the rouge shirt, but I think I might have gotten yelled at for wearing the "bigger balls" shirt to work. I decided not to buy.

that's part of what makes this game so great. Every new day is the supposed release day so you got reasons to be excited every morning when you wake up. WEEHEE!!!

How could you not preorder it back then? When all we heard about growing up was this great game of the future, Maximum Football. Why I remember when I was a kid and my Dad said, "One day son, not too far off now we will get Maximum Football for our new Intelivision system. I think you will like it more then Pitfall."
