Why don't we make it heal after the fact? There could be a percentage chance that you can hreal someone who was attacked. Possibly limit the number of uses or make the person known after use. That way there are some limits or risks but it just doesn't end up like another body guard. Let's make it a little more interesting than just random selection.

Are Dems who were voted out still supposed to be in the thread? Not trying to cause trouble just figured we should get clarification so there aren't any issues with it.

KWhit, the bill sounds like our ousted congresspersons couldn't be healed if attacked. I think only a word or two needs to be changed to protect all non-wolf "villagers".

I've only seen a doctor role in the Spawn games (where it's possible that a wolf attack can just wound a player). I'm not sure how that works in a game where a wolf attack is pretty much auto-kill like this one. |

So the standard "Doctor" role is the same thing as Bodyguard. I didn't know if CR would let us have another BG, so I put in the % chance in my bill above.
What do you guys think? |

So it really is designed to be another name for a BG.
Since it is technically a different role, I would propose not allowing them to self-protect BUT, when they heal someone, that person remembers who tried to kill them. |

We are kind of legistating this as we go so we should try to add a few twists to it.
Maybe the pserson can select two people to protect but maybe not a 100 percent success rate? Some other roles, or ideas for roles: An investigator type of role: gets PM'd some additional clues about an attack A vigilante type of role: Can perform a one time night attack A master of disguise: Can select to disguise someone at night. Options being to disguise so that person cannot be found or disguise that person as another player (if the wolves attack the player who was disguised he cannot be found, if they attack the player disguised as there is now a chance the person in disguise will be filled instead of the actual target, this could include wolves which means if a wolf gets disguised as the potential wolf target there is a chance they will be killed instead of the target). This one obviously needs a lot of contigencies, like if the person is disguised as the wolf who is doing the kill he will get killed be the real wolf, or something along that line. A psychic: Will have a premonition if they are about to be killed with a chance of seeing the attacker's identity within the premonition. There are a lot of ways we can go with this game and I'm all for thinking a little out of the box (as long as we get things okayed by the SC prior). |

I may own KWhit an apology. It may have been Lathum who had the strange votes which I was thinking about last night. Unfortunately I have to close out this window for a while but hopefully I'll have time this evening to look at it again.

I offered my suggestion -- no ability to self-protect in return for the victim remembering who attacked him.

That's a good thought. We can run it by CR. I'm worried that pretty much anything might be tough to get through the courts today.

Max of 2 bills today, one of which will include a rider. I think the Courts will return to normal.

NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE BILL
WHEREAS, we are all endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, including Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. This Congress believes that the second and third are currently cared for. Liberty? Well, we got that statue. Pursuit of Happiness? Internet porn (I rest my case). However, the first right is under attack from the Wolf threat. BE IT RESOLVED: Nationally sponsored and supported healthcare is hereby established for all citizens (as long as you're a Congressman and not a member of the Wolf Party). This mechanism allows for a member of congress to be named as "Doctor" and granted certain special attributes:

I jsut poted this in the main thread but I also wanted to here, voting republican for a wolf is the best way to go, it gives us a 7-2 chance as opposed to a 9-2

I'm game for changing to Tyrith at some point. He is near the top of my suspect list. I only went PB to try to get some talk going but it didn't do much for that so far.
PB is usually a lot more vocal, especially when he's a wolf (or seems to be in the games I have played the same time as him, which hasn't been much lately as he seemed to have taken a break). Using the political slant is a very good part of the game for the wolves as it gives them something else to hide behind. I don't think that CR thought of that advantage when the courts blocked our bill last night. |

I'll flip to Tyrith this evening. I want to draw PB out a bit just to see what he has to say. I think Tyrith is either a furry one or taking the political role so much to the extreme that it is going to end up hurting the village anyway.

lol, Tyrith is using the "you typed wrong" arguement on you. That is the exact same thing I tried to use to bring out the "olierage" a few games back when I was the cultist. He seems to be go for Lathumrage with this one.

Here's my thoughts on last night and elections... (still catching up on main thread)
I know I'm a villager and now we know the person who sabotaged my election (was revealed in my PM, I would have won handily) was also a villager. This is making me lean into trusting KWhit and henry more now as I don't think the wolves would let their own people get knocked out of reelection. I have two congressional elections that I can swing, I tried to use one last night to swing a powerful democrat who I thought was vulnerable but that person used one of their own swing abilities so I still have my two. If that person wants to come forward they can, they haven't so far so I don't know if they simply want to keep it to themselves or what but I respect that choice as well and won't name names. I will use one of my swings on myself tomorrow night to assure reelection. I would hope that if KWhit and henry have similar abilities then they will do the same thing to ensure they get reelected as well. I want to get a wolf tonight, i think party wise we need to get a Republican wolf since we're being forced into partisan crap by the Repubs. If someone has a very good Dem wolf vote then I'm not against doing that as well but I haven't seen anything to point to that yet. |

I wouldn't be opposed to swapping to Tyrith, but I think it is imprtanwe go republican for 2 reasons.
1. Give us a numbers advantage 2. Better odds at hitting a wolf ( assuming it is 2-2) |

I am not down with a party line vote unless I firmly believe s/he is a wolf. We got burned badly last night for doing this.
I am having a tough time differentiating between any wolfish behavior by Tyrith and a relatively natural response to Lathum's "take no prisioners" approach. |

I think we're all kind of suspicious of Heinz/Pass/Tyrith so while it may be partisan at least it's actually based on werewolf logic today.
