Wait, so I was 15 minutes slow in catching up in the thread, but there's no write up to greet me at the end??? Ugh!

I think we might want to take a look at KatyLied tomorrow... there's being inactive and then there's two posts in two days. I can see an inexperienced wolf being so scared to say anything stupid that they just check in to vote and hope everyone forgets about them.

I had briefly considered reminding him of his option during the deadline run-up, then decided that it wasn't worth it if it reveals his role. Have to see those proton packs protected at all costs after yesterday's debacle. Saving a (per you) vanilla villager or me (whatever I am) wouldn't be worth the trade-off. |

Today the group has come across some clues. Charting the ghost sightings and attacks they have been made aware of, a definite pattern has arose. There seems to be an area of the city where the attacks are most prominent. Heading in that direction today, you come across a man flailing his arms trying to flag you down. "Vote him! He's a commie!" "No, vote him!" "Wait, is there anyone I haven't voted yet?" Clearly he appears disturbed as a result of supernatural activity and you decide to attack him just to be sure. Well, you were wrong. He was just a regular NYC citizen (to be fair, it's pretty hard to distinguish between them sometimes).
Coffee Warlord was a citizen of NYC. Night comes and the eerie silence is almost most disturbing than the horrific death of your comrade and potential Ghostbuster from yesterday. However, you wake up and find the group does not appear to be diminished from yesterday. Today you will see if you can determine the source of the psychokinetic disturbance. Day 3 has begun. D3/N3 deadline is Thursday 10pm EST. |

Sounds like a gatekeeper/keymaster conversion.
Also, for what it is worth I have just achieved a major victory in the game and know who Venkman is. I do not expect him to vouch for me, since we want his identity to remain a secret. I'll get a minor victory as well if/when the villagers pull this out. In case this is not clear, I'm Slimer. I scan as a ghost (since I am one) but I'm not part of the Gozer "murder everyone" club. I didn't want to reveal as vanilla because I was not. But I did want to get my major win if possible, and it was useful in terms of potentially building trust later in the game. Something that a vanilla villager could not do, since they had no ability to find Venkman. |

If someone else wants to claim this role, please go ahead and counter me.
If the ghosts want to kill me to prevent trust, go ahead. I still scan as ghost and the rules do not say anything about how I work in terms of end-game ratio. I'll keep that to myself to keep them guessing. If the village wants to lynch me for being a ghost, even though I'm revealed as neutral in the rules, that is obviously an option. But I'll still have my major win and I suspect it won't help the village out much in terms of rooting out the enemy. Finally, I'm revealing now because I'll get scanned at some point and I would rather be forthcoming with that info (with win condition already secured) to help Egon make good scan decisions and hopefully better find ghosts. |

I'll be around for a few more minutes to answer questions - none have come yet, which is a little surprising - but after that I'll go to sleep awaiting any role info that might help us nail wolves.
Failing that, I would prefer to take a long, hard look at the people who locked votes in on me today. Obviously not all are wolves, especially when I was running into a vanilla villager, but it sure felt like there were some folks eager to see me posting in a different thread by 10PM EST tonight. |

I'll fully own up to my last minute switch, but if you believe hoops reveal why would you scrutinize my move. If neither hoops nor CW are wolves what incentive would I have as a wolf to make a late switch? |

Hoops, I gauged you as way more desperate than you would be as a vanilla villager (and you would have role claimed if you were ghostbuster.

Im willing to buy Hoops reveal and it makes sense with my gut feel. This means there is a good chance we have been all villager every day in the votes (I still think Lathum is not a starting wolf).

Eh, whatever helps you feel better I was playing as straight villager, other than having a "Venkman detector" ... obviously I could have taken the neutral role a little differently, but didn't try to play it off that way. I would give you more credit if your gut said "roled" |

I'm not going to leave my vote on Lathum and make it worthless. If I hit a wolf I look good if I hit a villager... well, I look bad, I guess but I am still not going to make my vote not count. I'm not sure I've ever played a game where my vote didn't count for something if I was around at deadline. Last edited by mauchow : 03-13-2013 at 10:50 PM. Reason: added "not" for vote not count... |
