I'd be for that myself. As far as going against other characters, I think Abe intended the game to be like that as it approached endgame. If you look at the abilities of higher level scouts / mages / clerics, there are opportunities for characters to set obstacles for each other, up to mages being able to drain levels from their competition. If there were a number of level 9 people that were close to winning (what will probably happen towards the end of this), you wouldn't want to meet up with the wrong person.

For example, if Danny doesn't win after we move to this room and I've selected Atrophy as a 4th level spell. That would give me an opportunity to kill a critical piece of his equipment (two if you consider we'll be in the room for the evening and morning). Not to say I've selected that spell of course, but just giving an example. Muhaha.

I actually moved with PB for like 4 days. I think the problem was we didn't go over any interesting rooms in those days. I'm glad I teamed up for a little bit anyway. Next time, I think
