hey Jag do me a favor and repeat these words:
"I did not hinder the quest action "decode the book" to my knowledge." Then the reporter can see if he's lying. |

Look at all the posts I've made this game. I would hope the reporter could have easily found a statement I've previously made to find out if I was lying about anything. I'm also not sure your test would work because Abe might interpret it as a Cultist / non-Cultist test. But just in case:
I did not hinder the quest action "decode the book" to my knowledge. |

Decode (9/10) - CrimsonFox, JAG (2), Coffee(2), Booradley, fontisian, Autumn, saldana
Search (3) - Darth, mauchow, tyketime ^- JAG's summary at post 677. Then I decoded (for 1) and Zinto searched. We only had 10 units of work on the decoding of the 10 required, so any one of us could have sabotaged our work (or have been sabotaged, though that leaves us more in the dark). |

You're missing Simbo in that count. (It's easy to miss). He also decoded, which puts us at 11.

Jag or Coffee or 2 others or none of the above? If it isn't Jag I think someone affected Jag or coffee or caused an instafail. |

For what it's worth, I didn't get any sort of message saying "your attempts to read the book failed due to unknown interference" or the like.
I still believe someone or someones in the list of people who decoded actively sabotaged. |

It's really the simplest explanation Crimson. I have nothing to hide, so it's an easy statement for me to make. I do wonder about our quiet folks though, for that reason.
And what about Autumn? Yesterday we succeeded at our quest with all players involved except Autumn who was in prison. Today we fail a task that he's involved in. I haven't gotten a bad vibe from him but I pretty much never pick him out as a wolf. Do we think cultists can choose to go along with a quest if they want to or do they have to fake? (makes them easier to find that way, but we have to deal with numerous conversions and no voting information as a detriment to us). It's also possible we didn't have any cultists that day and got some bad rolls last night. |

Checking back in. I'm torn on lynching today. We have some evidence to actually go on at this point, but it's not much, and the vote count itself won't add to our info really. REducing our numbers is going to hurt our cause, I think, though so far the quests are matched to our numbers.

JAG, in my defense I did a quest on the day before that and we succeeded. Or I guess my part didn't actually succeed but that's because people didn't do Security like I was suggesting. So I guess that's not great evidence, lol.
I guess it's conceivable the cultists can't choose to do work, but that would be unlike similar games we've played, and would be really not in the cult's favor, so I'm not sure I imagine it works that way. I imagine it's more that the cultists didn't care about stopping yesterday's work but did care about this, or that there weren't any cultists yesterday and are now. |

Possible, but the odds point more toward sabotage on the decoding task. I have suspicions, but there is so much uncertainty at the moment I'm not ready to start pointing fingers. VOTE NO LYNCH

I think the numbers point at voting between Jag and CW today. Either one of them sabotaged, or two people sabotaged. But if two sabotaged, there's still an even chance one of them was involved. So we have either a 50% shot by picking between them, or a 25+% shot by picking one of them.

That said, I'm more inclined to maybe vote no lynch. If one of them is the cultist, they'll be hard pressed to sabotage again without making it obvious, particularly if we divide our work correctly. If we can make them do our work for us, that's good, though we risk them having other secret things they can do against us.

shrug. Jag you had nothing to hide last game either I'm not saying that damns you. It is you or coffee or two others or someone that affected you all
I'm really leaning towards people affecting you. I don't see a point to a JAG vs autumn runnoff a jag vs coffee one makes sense even if they are both villagers otherwise it is just a freefor all of people voting for random people. I do have thoughts of some of the quiet people. But do we want to go there? |

I'll refer you to my post above and say that I don't think your take on the decoding sabotage is correct. OTOH, I only gave things a quick look, and relied on JAG's tabulation of people working on the quest. If that tabulation is wrong, ... |

LOL, didn't even realize I used that same phrase. Though you have to admit saying that in a game with a Soothsayer (probably) and doing it with plenty of game left rather than an end game scenario are different things. Quote:
There's a lot that's tough to answer here. If they could affect our tasks without being involved, why wouldn't they have done it before? There would be no risk to them. You could maybe argue there weren't any at the time, but that really makes it a tough task for the village to figure out who are cultists if they can work on one thing and sabotage another. I really have to think they were involved in the task outwardly but faked their work. I think I'd like to give it one more day for our information gatherers to perhaps take a crack at the list of decoders to see if we can narrow things down and if decoding the book gives us something useful. |

Just finished dinner. So I want to heal someone. Autumn - do you still have dibs on Danny? That leaves me Coffee or Simbo I believe. Coffee is at 75% health and is an Antiquarian. Simbo is at 80% health and is a Soldier. I can make a good case for healing either one. For now, I will lean towards Simbo since numerically he has one less health.

I've been thinking about this while doing dishes, and I think I'm goign to vote no lynch tonight. We have a list of people to narrow suspicions and I think in this game it makes more sense to continue gathering information. A vote isn't going to add to our information if we're wrong, unlike most werewolf games. So going forward with our eyes on all the suspects will better serve us.

Abe, do we know order of operations for night actions? For example, do you roll our corruption checks before a detective scan happens?
And I agree with font, if more than one detective is planning on using their scan tonight, they need to reveal that so they don't overlap since we only get those four scans for the game as far as we know. |

sal, the basic info we've found is that we failed the decode task even tho we had 11 points go in.
Jag and Coffee were the 2 two-pointers so that's why it is obvious to suspect them, unless we believe there were 2 singles that messed it up or else someone not jag/CW that caused us to fail it. |
