I suspect that the "encore deals" might be the flash deals that have not shown up as frequently. The daily deals have been 48 hours long, so there is no excuse for missing those first or second time around. |

Just beat King's Bounty Armored Princess is 47 hours, 14 better than the first game. It was worth the Steam sale.

heads up, most sales seem to end in 10 hours. I know the next two days are repeats but it might just be dailys, flashes and community deals. Everything else i think will go back to regular price.

The 2 The Witcher games are 75% off. Really great RPG, both for readers of the books and others.

The more I stop and think about it, I think The Witcher is my favorite RPG series of "this generation." By that I mean games from about the time the Xbox 360 came out until now. I can't recommend this game enough, especially at that price point. If Mass Effect didn't require the Origin headache it may take that spot, but it has become such a headache from me to actually play it that it diminishes the series.

I've been meaning to start playing The Witcher games, currently on Vampire The Masquerade so may start The Witcher after I find that. I do looked having dead that the series doesn't have a horrible morality system like Mass Effect's paragon/renegade system. I really how RPGs more away from systems like that and Fallout's karma approach. |

the first Witcher was great...although the combat was totally different than i thought it would be. But the atmosphere and the world it created was amazing.
Vampire TMB is awesome, although the last 1/3 of it or so kinda falls apart. Requires a lot of combat. But the first parts of it are some of the best stuff ever. The head writer behind Vampire is making a new Zombie game called 'Dead State' should be really cool. |

I built my character for persuasion and sneaking do there's been a bit more combat than I had hoped for, but nothing I haven't been able to handle yet. Been looking forward to Dead State for quite a while and backed the Kickstarter last year, also I've definitely had my eye on that. |

Damn it! I need to remove my payment details from Steam until the summer sale!
Since I decided that I definitely was not going to buy anything else, I have picked up 4 games and the CIV 5 GOTY upgrade. Spent just over £40 since the sales started, and another £30 in the Thanksgiving sales and the Humble THQ bundle. That works out at less than the cost of two PS3 games, so getting around 20 games for that price, including most of the AAA titles from late 2012 is pretty good. Now I just need to find time to play them all. Last edited by Ryan S : 01-05-2013 at 04:29 PM. |

Is it just me, or is going back and forth into the Game Specials, Steam and Video Game threads giving anybody else whiplash?

Well Medusa is being added to the hero pool tomorrow which is probably the only chance I'd have to winning something like that since she's the best 1v5 carry of the game. Medusa can easily wipe an enemy team on her own if she is farmed, there have been pro games where the other team gave up once she got her items because they'd have no chance of winning even though she had no kills and was just starting to push down towers. |

So, McKerney, I fired up DOTA 2 yesterday for the first time in about 6 months. Invoker is not a hero to play for the first time when you haven't played in that long. |

Nope. I would recommend not playing Meepo next game as well. It doesn't help that Invoker was nerfed in a few patches. His base damage was dropped by 9 meaning that he's no longer able to win mid as easily if you're not going with a Wex-Exort build. Last edited by mckerney : 01-09-2013 at 07:46 PM. |

Terraria got boring for me. I hit a point where I was hunting all over for materials, and it got boring just digging around underground looking for stuff that would let me build better "factory" objects to make the better items I needed to beat up on the monsters.

I played Terraria for 10 minutes before I sat back, said "what the fuck is the point of this?" and removed it from my system.
