Texas A&M seems to be having a rough day so far.

Several big targets to go today, already got the LOI from Otha Peters, so that is a big plus. Don't expect to get Gardner, but maybe we will get a surprise there. Still one of our better classes in a while with a chance of finishing strong.

With the Mike Anderson move and DGB I think it would be awesome to get put in the same bracket as you guys in the NCAA tournament. (And not from a cocky "we will kill you" standpoint but more of a hell of a lot of interesting storylines and intensity)

@LukeMatheson247: Reports: Chris Humes a 3 star DB from Alabama flipped his commitment from Arkansas and signed with ArkansasState.

Your team is pretty stout this year. We will be lucky to even make the tournament. Well, at least we need to learn to play well on the road to get in.

Weird, we didn't have a Chris Humes on our commitment list.

(maybe he was insta-removed, but it didn't look like it, and I don't remember him being there)

Huh. Maybe someone accidentially typed his oriiginal commitment team name wrong because of ArkState.

Al Golden doing a really good job recruiting considering there's still sanctions brewing. He's signed the #1 RB and #1 CB in the nation.

Washington just took a DE from USC? I didn't get the name, I don't follow west coast much.

Seems like a pure business/numbers decision:

Dante Fowler: “I always hated Florida, and I always told myself I would never go to Florida and now I’m about to be playing for them.”

FSU vs USC for Leonard Williams, interesting. Fowler's move may have opened the door there.

Williams reportedly pushed his announcement back and FSU has been on the phone with him since the Fowler thing became official.

And a disappointment. High motor kid who is a very good get for Washington. Hopefully, USC gets Leonard Williams to take away the sting.

FSU people have no clue about Williams but someone did post this:

Gator247 is in attendance at Leonard Williams announcement, and says Williams only has two hats on the table. Southern Cal and a "Blue hat"

I can't keep all of these people straight. And it doesn't help that all the sites/shows are trying to make every commit sound like a huge surprise.

That sounds like he has the FSU hat under the table. Not hopeful on the late news on this one.

Assuming we miss Williams and Shittu we are going to have to go after DL next year like we went after OL this year

Looks like Mizzou is going to land around 20 in the final class rankings.

That's good enough for the 8th best class in the SEC.

I think realistically FSU expects Eligwe to sign and is hoping on Darby, the other track star (Bracy's the first). If we confirm one and pull the other, I think we're fine. Winston isn't signing today but confirmed he is a Nole a little while ago and even tried recruiting Darby on TV.

Anyone listen to Frank Deford on NPR this morning? He told me that each recruit will put on a hat of the college he's going to choose, then suggested that either Obama or "the Republican candidate" should put on a hat declaring that he is the President when he wins.

The mystery recruit for Texas is apparently LB Torshiro Davis. He was a solid LSU guy, but evidently has had a change of heart. He is supposed to announce any moment now.

I'm listening in right now as Frank Beamer is telling Ja Wand Blue, "you lied to me."

Matt Porter @mattyports
Blue is telling Frank Beamer, "I wanted to stay home." Beamer: "This doesn't make any sense. I've never felt more betrayed or lied to.

Honestly and as unbiased as I can be, I think there's very little chance he becomes a productive college player. I wouldn't sweat it either way. If UCLA wants him over the other WR on their board that's a strange decision to me

And Texas caps off their class by swiping Torshiro Davis from LSU. Hell of a grab, considering LSU hardly ever loses their in-state targets.

It doesn't seem like Payton is keeping any other targets from UCLA yet, from what I have heard. It seems likely we will flip Randall Goforth from ASU, and we're likely to get the commitment of Javon Williams and I don't see either of them being affected by Payton.

I guess we'll see. Maybe it's all just BS anyway, and Payton still goes to UDub.

Almost feel sad for Cal...almost.

This funny post on a UDub board is making the rounds:

"Kenny Walker to UCLA... By the end of the day, UCLA and Washington will have more ex-Cal commits than Cal has commits."
