Yes, let's discuss a little more before we start repairing anything. The water situation is very worrisome.

Only problem is that if the slaves aren't back where they belong they keep breaking things worse -- and they break things at a faster rate than we can fix them, it seems. |

The rules say if the cargo hold is broken nothing can be put in or taken out. Since it only holds water and crys, I'd think that that means we can't get water. |

Yeah, but 40% of our required crys (assuming 2 hauls of 15 crys) might have been worth the repairs. |

That was my thought too. Plus - when it says we can go one day with out, does that include the night? Because we should be able to have the hold repaired tonight if every engineer works on that (and we aren't attacked harder, heh)

Yes, but if we don't fix the cargo hold we are ALL dehydrated tomorrow. That means that if the spawn can damage it tonight to the point where we can't fix it tomorrow, WE ALL DIE. That wouldn't be good for our prospects of winning the game. |

We can defend it from the spawn during the night. We'll take loses, but it happens. We could defend it from the slaves, too, but there are other parts of the ship we need to work, too. The slaves just do way, way too much damage to the ship in general to be left running around like this. We can't keep taking six or eight cycles of damage every cycle - we can't defend everything, and we need most of the ship to work. |

Can we get a list going of what all the exhausted people have done?
RendeR Hoopsguy- guarded (?) sleeping quarters Tyrith- worked overnight on the HQ PurdueBrad- worked overnight on the HQ Danny- worked overnight on the pens JeHeinz- worked overnight on the pens Oliegirl- guarded (?) sleeping quarters Passacaglia- guarded the HQ Schmidty- guarded the water Mrs. Schmidty- guarded (?) the sleeping quarters Packerfanatic Bulletsponge I filled in the ones I know. As for the question marks, I simply wasn't sure if that is what their action was. That leaves a couple people unaccounted for that I'm curious about their actions. |

Whose dumb-ass idea was it to bring SLAVES anyway? What kind of bizarre future do we live in?

I'm with Tyrith on this. We have to get those slaves back in their pen or we risk more damage to the ship, which we're already struggling to repair and more wounded people and possibly some deaths.
The water thing sucks, but I think if we didn't take care of the slaves first we'd potentially just be spinning our wheels. I'd like to avoid, if possible, Alan having to kill off the slaves. I think his time is better served elsewhere. |

I spied on Saldana last night, he didn't do anything. I was also attacked by a slave but was able to kill him with my phaser.
Did anyone else get a PM regarding sleeping conditions? |

Not until Day 3.

PS- BK, that is a very good job of GM'ing, thanks for correcting and then holding off on my actions. I shouldn't be surprised, but nice job.

Well that helps. PB and Danny can work on the cargo hold today, leaving just 1 point of damage there.
If I'm reading this right, up to and counting Tyrith and I working on the pens on Day 2 we've got Operational: Security HQ, Slave Pens Damaged: Engine (8), Water Plant (6), Cargo Hold (3), Sleeping Quarters (18) That look right? |

Okay...well, we might have to go fishing for water today. Which sucks, but dehydration on top of our other issues might make it worse. Dehydration isn't listed under the statuses, BTW.

I'd say we get Danny and PB on the Cargo Hold today. We should then be able to get that fixed up tonight easily.

I want confirmation that the slave pens are fixed before we start fixing other things. We need those slaves herded back before we commit our other engineering time.

Cargo hold sounds good to me. From there, it'll be a tough choice with the sleeping quarters almost decimated, the engine getting dangerously close to doubling in damage, and the water plant taking hits.
I'm on the cargo hold now. |

That's funny. I didn't change that section at all from last time which means it was missing last game too. Dehydration is like exhaustion, with the negative effects on rolls, with the added bonus of possible death.

BK, if we repair the cargo hold today, we can drink the water from there today without ever incurring dehydration, correct?

I did - and although I tried sleeping, the beds were already full when I got there (from the damage), hence why I am exhausted. Plus I got hurt while trying to look for somewhere else to sleep. Damn slaves.

The ship breathes a sigh of relief as there is still work to be done on the Slave Pens, but the slaves may be herded back to them. Tyrtith and jeheinz are confidant that they will be fully finished with the repairs, without any more assistance, by the end of the day.

We might want to consider just axing all the slaves now that the pens are fixed. Seriously, other than going on away missions, they are causing more damage then they are worth now. They we can at least breath a little easier.

Should I take it as interesting or suspicious that there were three security people in the sleeping quarters (if I read the results right) yet I was attacked by a slave during the night?

I'm confused on the whole slave pen deal. So there were 3 man cycles left at the beginning of the day. And then who has been repairing them today to make them usable? I think I missed that part.

Correct. However, I made a mistake yesterday. Water is drunk at the beginning of the day cycle, not at the end of it. Therefore, everyone is dehydrated today, however, you have the rest of this day cycle and the night cycle to fix either the water plant or cargo hold.

So, I don't guess we can use the slaves to herd the slaves, eh?
Who should use their AP on getting that done? Security staff? Privates? If privates, who will go on the water mission? |

I still don't feel comfortable using up our engineering actions until we know for sure the slave pens are fixed.

Dola, that's obviously irrelevant now. We can start putting turns in on the cargo hold.

I was originally, tentatively, against the idea of killing the slaves but after cleaning up their mess for three cycles, they've got to go.
