Herbert is definitely forcing a trade between now and 2027. Write it down.

Hackett looks way too much like Lane Kiffin for my liking.

Still got 2 more feature Broncos games. Sorry folks. A Sunday morning vs Jaguars and a Sunday night vs Chiefs.

They are not entertaining. I feel like I've already seen 20 Broncos games this year.

I was thinking tank for picks and then remembered Seattle owns our 1st and 2nd the next 2 years. So in addition to their picks, Seattle is looking at 2 more picks in the top 40-45ish next year. What a disaster.

As a Bears fan, I do apologize for the Bears being on Thursday night then Monday night.

As a Bears fan in Cali, it's the only time I'll get to see them on tv without paying extra so, only half sorry.

Apparently Russ now has a hamstring issue. What's the warranty on this purchase? Worst part is they gave him the huge contract before he ever took a snap. I assume that was a precondition to the trade, but man... unless something changes, we're good and screwed for the foreseeable future.

I don't know what you can do but admit Hackett is Denver's Josh McDaniel Part II and start over with someone who can better utilize whatever is left of Wilson.

Out of curiosity, why do you hate the Falcons? They don't seem to offend anyone since the Michael Vick days

People are such dopes. I run a facebook group geared towards the sports betting network VSIN. There is a guy on there complaining today. Draftkings had the odds of Herbert to throw a TD at -800 last night, meaning you would have to bet $800 to win $100. They did whats called an odds boost, which a lot of books do as a promotion, to make the odds +100. bet $100 to win $100. Great deal, what are the odds he doesn't throw a TD pass? Books often do this as a promo, like drug dealers handing out free samples. There is usually a $25 limit, or at most $100, otherwise sharp betters would crush them.

Well, it lost, he didn't throw a TD pass. So this guy is in the group claiming Draftkings fixed the game so they would win, and somehow has influence over Herbert not throwing a TD pass. It is literally an insane take and he can't be reasoned off his stance, yet can't explain how the logistics of this would work.

Some owners staring to make public anti-Snyder statements.

This is, of course, coordinated by the league. The owners have (finally) decided that he is more trouble than he's worth.

Get your popcorn ready.

Eventually, Snyder will "lose" the power struggle and have to accept selling the team for billions more than he paid for it.

Can the NFL just kick the Commanders out of the league and create a new Franchise from scrap?

How long ago were those reports that Snyder was underreporting ticket revenue, which meant he was pocketing money that was supposed to be shared with the other owners? People said that the owners would stand for a lot, but not for that, that that was the last straw.

He must really have some good dirt.

In case you weren't already way too aware of how badly Denver's season is going, they have one more offensive TD than ACL tear so far this year.

The funny thing is the alleged coordination. You can easily name the owners who can criticize him without initial fear of what he may have.

Jim Irsay? Yeah we know
Jerry Jones? Uh huh
Robert Kraft? Pfft
Steven Ross?
Michael Bidwell?

So what's the over/under that Hopkins in his return after his suspension, gets hurt and has to leave the game?

Not the most interesting football weekend I've ever seen approaching. Michigan on the bye, sort-it-out-and-we'll-take-a-longer-look-at-the-winner battles in the ACC, Pac 12 and Big 12 (expecting Clemson to win big in theirs). In the NFL, the only team that's better than 4-2 that's playing is the Giants, which are visiting Jacksonville.

The injury concern in the NFL just grows and grows. I guess there's some interest in the battle for the ball itself with the Jets and Broncos playing, and Russell Wilson, a quarterback who lives or dies on his mobility, might play through a bad hamstring, with Zach Wilson on the other end, seemingly recovered from August's knee surgery.

Meanwhile, record numbers of quarterbacks are sidelined throughout the league. In Miami, Tua Tagovailoa is due back from concussion protocol to face rookie Kenny Pickett, who is probably due back from concussion protocol.

Aaron Rodgers is dinged. Tom Brady is human. Carson Wentz is the latest starter to go down to a multi-week injury, breaking a finger. Dak Prescott might return from his broken thumb this week to face what might be the worst defense in NFL history, in part because seemingly the entire secondary gets hurt every single game.

I think I might get more reading done this weekend. Finished the Backman (third Beartown novel) last week. A bit disappointing for me, but it's getting rave reviews.

This game is objectively so much better than the last couple weeks, but it still feels entirely lifeless. Michaels and Herbstreit have less than zero chemistry.

I think it was because they had to call a timeout before they got hit with a delay of game.

In other news, Robbie Anderson should now feel right at home.

McCaffery to the 49ers. Seems reasonable. Lots of future cap relief and some good pick value there. Panthers might be trying to ensure the first overall pick.

since last yr, McCaffrey has looked to me like he is another moderate injury away from retirement.

great move by CAR and head scratcher from the 49ers side, even considering how weak the nfc looks right now. all-in move giving up 2+3+4+5 for a RB in yr 6 that has missed a lot of games.

Good game, Thomkal. Sigh.

This Saints team isn't horrible. But it isn't good either. And that sense I've had for so long that "Payton will find a way to get the team right" whenever it hits a rough patch obviously isn't there.

Dennis Allen seems like the classic great-coordinator / bad-head-coach guy.

Is it common knowledge that the state of Maryland was going to seize the Colts from Bob Irsay? I knew there were issue with not getting a new stadium but I did not know they were going to take the team from him.
