Defense
I was surprised that Carter didn’t get Def. Player of the Year as he was 1st in sacks by 2.5! Webb led my team in tackles again with 126 and grabbed me 2 sacks, down from his rookie year of 4 last year, but still good for a MLB. Smith in his sophomore year netted 6 sacks and was 2nd on the team in those, and Plumier netted 3.5 sacks, still a down year for him, and Andersen 5 sacks beside him. Carter led my team with 5 FF. He was 2nd in the league with them. Pass Coverage Rookie Horn, starting at CB, grabbed me 6 sacks with 1 pick six. 17 pasdef and 4 picks by Webb. Westbrook and Fox each added 3 picks as well. Horn was tied for league lead and I was surprised that he couldn’t get Def. Rookie of the Year or All Pro. He probably needed more pasdef. His picks are 98 but his coverage is less than ideal.

The 2063 NFL FA Period #1
I review the draft. Anyone that might still be there at 1.32 I review. The top OC has worse bars than last year but came back very underrated. I interview a few WRs, DBs, and so forth. I sign my RFAs. Everyone save for CB Fisher. I have 45 under contract and 16.8 mill in cap room Key players in the final year of their deal FS Ferguson – Wants 40 mill over 3 years, drop of 1.5 mill cap QB Kennedy – 227 mill, 4 years, 5 mill drop in cap DT Plumier – 152 mill, 4 years, drop in cap of 6 mill TE Moy – 83 mill, 4 years, increase of cap hit of 2.1 mil I extend LS and K and QB Joyner OT Mangold – 85 mill, increase of cap hit 6.9 mill DT Andersen – 122 mill,4 years, increase of cap hit by 21 mill FS Fox – 85 mill, 4 years, 13.9 mill increase of cap hit. If I cut Plumier I free… 38.5 mill for a guy that only nets a small number of sacks. I cut Plumier and I extend Kennedy. Then I’ll hold off on the others until later to see what we manufacture in the draft. I have 62 mill in cap space for new players. Any of my UFAs I want to chase? Nope! Others? Nope Week 2 – OG Porter signs with Raleigh Week 4 – Reynolds heads to New Orleans Week 5 – Whelihan heads to NY Jets Week 6 – Glenn also heads to the Jets Week 7 – Plumier heads to another of our old teams, Tampa Bay. Week 10 – Linares heads to Arizona Who’s ready for some drafting…

The 2063 NFL Amateur Draft
Picking at the 1.1 spot is… Green Bay and they take… DT Lee Gonzalez. I fast forward to our pick at the 1.32. Who do I like here? OC Spolane went at 1.27…sad… all WRs I interviewed are off the board. WLB Jesse Witt – The top player on the board, looks great with the bars. If I were a 3-4 I’d be more interested…could Witt replace Troutman at SLB? MLB Antoine Francis – 3rd best player on the board, looks good but not as good as Witt OG Glen Smith – Overrated, Good at everything but strength. OG Francisco Davis – Worse bars than Smith, very overrated OG Brady Martinez – 3rd OG on the board, better bars in everything save endurance, no interview DT Landon Sutton – The best DT on the board, not the best with the bars DT Gus Gaddy – 2nd best DT on the board, great pass rush stuff, poor run d, TE Brett Mayes – Weaker bars, overrated FB Lucas Hernandez – Stud looking FB. Could I take him, convert him to TE, and replace Moy this year? (He’s not good at catching, but great at blocking and power inside and blitz pickup. Here’s let’s drill down and make a decision later Here’s the top rated rookie on the board, Witt. As you can see, he’s very well rounded everywhere save for play D. I could draft him, and if he winds up looking strong, replace SLB Troutman who is a 60/60 SLB and only 5 mill on cap so no major commitment was made to replace him. Or I might leave him at WLB and replace my starter there. Do I do Witt? Here’s the stud looking FB Hernandez. Now, I didn’t interview him or think about checking FB as my FB was so good, but he would be a high rated TE if he doesn’t bust in camp or preseason. He’s a good runner and blocker. Could I move him to RB instead of TE and get a good RB to go with my high playing Brookins? Do I do Hernandez? Here’s the pass rushing DT Gaddy. He’s the 2nd best DT on the board and looks pretty good at everything save run d, which I like my DTs to be better at. Do I grab him and make him my new DT for the cut Plumier? Do I draft Gaddy? Or do I go with a 4th dark option? What would you do?

Hmmmm…
Let’s talk it over Gaddy - DT is my biggest position of need, and Gaddy seems like he’ll be fine there. Sure, I’d like a better Run D guy, but this is the sort of DT you’ll get at the end of the 1st round. He’s not perfect. But he’ll suffice. Witt – Witt is probably the best player on the board as my FB to TE won’t keep that level but will drop it. He’s a strong option at SLB as he’ll be good at rushing, run d, and coverage. Getting a guy as good as Witt looks to be at 1.32 is what BAP is all about, and he’s the BAP. Hernandez -Sure, he’s not the best receiver in the world, but you saw how good a not-good receiver Brookins did last year for me. Moy Is more than 80 mill to extend and is pricey, and he hasn’t played well the last year or two. Even if Hernandez drops in quality at pass catching, you may not miss it. He’s better at blocking than Moy is. I like all three and my team wants all three. The biggest need (DT) is the worst player. Although DT Greene is a 56/58 guy so that’s not too bad if I can’t emerge from this draft with a better starter. BAP? Replace an underperforming TE with a worse catching one and save 80 mill? Worst player but biggest need? Hmmm… I do Gaddy. He’s the biggest position of need. I know he’s the worst player, but I need another DT. 2.32 – TE Chase Polasek? DT Darrin Ring? Ring is also a pass rush specialist although not as well wounded as Gaddy. CB Angel Bernard? I like Bernard. I need more dbacks of quality. 3.32 – Is TE Chase Polasek still on the board? I take him. 4.32 – OT Sebastian Langfahl? 5.32 – WR Carlos Blackledge? Let’s do it! 6.32 – FS Eugene Moore? I take Moore. He’s poor at picks by at the 6.32 you can’t be too choosy. This seems a pretty deep d back draft. He looks like a grower. 7.32 – OG Alexander Chaffee? CB Quinn Monroe? I go OG. Rookie Lookie #1 1.32 – DT Gus Gaddy, Brigham Young, 32/58 2.32 – CB Angel Bernard, Wyoming, 31/66 3.32 – TE Chase Polasek, Mississippi State, 37/59 4.32 – OT Sebastian Langfahl, Buffalo, 32/60 5.32 – WR Carlos Blackledge, Virginia, 27/53 6.32 – FS Eugene Moore, Texas A&M, 17/49 7.32 – OG Alex Chaffee, Boston College, 32/51 There you go! The Seahawks had a relocation vote for Albany, NY but it failed.

The 2063 NFL Preseason
I hand out 12 rests and massage my depth charts Greene has grown as a DT to 60/60 and is better than Gaddy, but hopefully Gaddy will grow into a starter. I’ll start Bernard at CB and Horn at nickelback, a more natural fit for his skill set. Week 2 – Cincinnati – We win 33-7 Week 3 – At Indy – We lose 19-22 Week 4 – At Pittsburgh – We win 25-18 Week 5 – Jacksonville – We lose 16-17 We finish 2-2 Rookie Lookie #3 1.32 – DT Gus Gaddy, Brigham Young, 32/58; 35/57; 35/48 2.32 – CB Angel Bernard, Wyoming, 31/66; 37/64; 39/66 3.32 – TE Chase Polasek, Mississippi State, 37/59; 41/60; 42/68 4.32 – OT Sebastian Langfahl, Buffalo, 32/60; 38/62; 40/70 5.32 – WR Carlos Blackledge, Virginia, 27/53; 30/52; 30/50 6.32 – FS Eugene Moore, Texas A&M, 17/49; 22/48; 24/51 7.32 – OG Alex Chaffee, Boston College, 32/51; 26/48; 26/50 Langfahl booms and Gaddy falls. I’m shocked that Moore didn’t boom like I thought he was that was lined up based on his combines. UFAs RB Kenneth Gomez, 31/50; 33/49; 33/45 RB Bernie Sapia, 30/44; 31/42; 30/36 WR Don Baxter, 18/50; 21/48; 21/42 WR Jessie Bordano, 21/45; 23/45; 22/41 CB Quinn Monroe, 16/48; 18/47; 15/33 CB Justin Crawford, 18/49; 23/48; 21/33 DE Dillon Ogden, 17/50; 22/48; 19/39 I cut OT Jamie Bennett – We’ll move to my rookie. I have 80 mill for new players.
I make these extensions FS Ferguson OT Mangold DT Andersen Fox won’t resign with my team due to past injustices… I guess I could franchise him next year if that’s needed. Not? CB Drake, RB Erickson, TE Moy, LB Lavalais, LB Ismail I sign early… FB Eastman MLB Webb Not Carter Smith or MLB Barrett. Wanna see my non-1st round bust picks? Here is Bernard, who is very hot and cold that I picked up at the 2.32 spot. As you can see he’s good at run D, bump and run, and picks. But he’s bad at play D and punching and just okay at man to man and zone. Here’s my 3rd round pick instead of my 1st, and as you can see Polasek is very well rounded, not amazing anywhere, and not weak anywhere. Good stuff!

On The Green Page is…
Bernard and Langfahl Rookie Investigation At QB, we had another horrible year with the best QB just 49 pot. At RB, there was a 54, and a 50 and that was it for 50+ pot, another poor year. The FB I was looking at wound up busting to 33/63. Another FB was 62. Good year for them After booming a bit, Polasek wound up the best TE in the draft. There were four more in the 50s and just those 5 50+. Wide receiver was the opposite of top heavy – very bottom heavy. 8 in the 50s, 1 60s, 1 80s. I couldn’t have done much better than Blackledge with a 50 pot. OC Spolane wound up with a 92 pot and was the best player in the draft. Man I wish I could have gotten him… Just 2 Cs in the 50s and that was it for Cs. OG was deep-ish, like normal, 2 in 70s, 3 in 60s, 7 in 50s. At OT, Langfahl wound up 3rd best at 70 pot. There was an 83 pot and 76 pot above him. I drafted him as a shower and he grew! I just thought it was a good 4th to grab an OT that looks low 60s, and then wound up with a starter. At D Line we had an 82, 6 60s, 9 50s, and another deep ish draft there. Gaddy busted and wasn’t even 50. At LB we had 1 72, 2 60s, and 9 50s. Witt which we were looking at with the 1.32 pick wound up at the 72 and best LB in the draft. Db? Bernard the 5th best DB and 3rd best CB. This did wind up deep for D Backs like I said in the draft, with 4 70s, 4 60s, 7 50s. Good stuff!

The 2063 NFL Regular Season
We were 15-1 last year and 14-2 the previous one, but I think we’ll fall back to 13-3 this season. This is our 9th year with the Rattlesnakes…ready? Can we win back to back Super Bowls? We finished the preseason with no injuries. We had a few minor ones in the first week but those finished up. We had a 1 week injury in the third game which finished this week. That means we’ll have 3-4 players that have a nasty injury that places them on IR. Week 1 – Green Bay - They finished with the worst record in the league last year, so hopefully…this should kick our year off with a win. We thump them 36-6. MVP was Kennedy, 20 of 33, 245 and 3:1, Watson was 5 for 122 and 2 scores, another score by Moy, Kanpurwala 5 of 6 FGs, picks by Horn, Luciano and Troutman, FF by Fox, rec by Westbrook, 5 KRB by Cone. Week 2 – At LA Chargers – We win 23-10, MVP is Kennedy, 21 of 31, 250 and 1:0,Watson 6 for 108 and 1 score, Brookins a rush score, pick by Westbrook, FF by Horn, Week 3 – At Atlanta – We win 47-20. Noise! MVP is Kennedy, 25 of 38, 311 and 3:0, Erickson, Watson and Brock with scores. Brookins was 31 for 169 and 2 scores, pick by Webb, 2 FF by Fox, 1 by Webb, rec by Carter and Barrett. 4 pasdef by Westbrook, 5 KRB by Cone Week 4 – BYE Week 5 - Seattle – They are 4-0. Who will be defeated after this week? We win 34-19. MVP is Kennedy, 19 of 26, 260. 3:0, scores by Moy and Eastmanx2, rush score by Erickson, Ferguson with pick, Westbrook with FF, 4 KRB by Cone. OC Doebert is out for a while and Keller will start for him. We are 4-0 at the first quarter

He’s the MVP with 26 of 38, 363, and 4:0, Brookins was 7 for 122 and 1 score, scores by Hudson, Watson and Chaplain, pick by Horn and….TWO PICK RETURNS by WEBB. Brookins’ 541 yards and 4 scores catching was solid as he netted 2.1+K yards from scrimmage. Good stuff! Moy was 3rd and had a ton of scores, and Eastman grabbed 462 yards and 4 scores. Dude is a weapon. Blocking Great year for Blocking. Cone led my team and the league in KRB and he’s 9 pancakes were 2nd in the league. Defense
Webb had a TON of tackles and was…the most tackles in the league. Those 5 sacks are his best and a great number for a MLB that doesn’t rush as much as WLB or SLB. Speaking of WLB, Luciano grabbed me 6.5 sacks. Carter was down but 8.5 is a fine number in a down year. Andersen netted me 7 sacks and was solid at the Dt spot. His party planner DT Green was with 5 sacks in his first starting season. Smith netted me 8.5 sacks, which is great for a non-sacks guy. Good stuff! Fox led my team with 6 FF and Webb netted 5. Pass Coverage I’m shocked that Horn doesn’t have an All Pro yet. Last year he led the league with 6 ints and this year? And this year? He led the league with 8! Webb rocked 6 picks and had the most picks among LBs in the league. Westbrook a very respectable 4 and 18 pasdef. Fox a solid year as well. Good stuff!

I end the season…I score a 61.
The 2064 NFL Offseason Do I want to hop to another team? The Broncos have moved to Portland and I could move over and inaugurate another move much like I did with Richmond… Let me think about it… They won’t take me. No Super Bowls, a losing record, but they won’t take me. They have changed their names to the Pioneers in honor of Portland’s history. And it’s alliterative. Alright let’s win that 3rd Super Bowl with the Rattlesnakes! Hall of Fame None Retirements of Note Rattlesnakes None Other Abe’s Boys WR Luis Fairfield – 3rd round pick with the Bucs, 2 Rings, no awards, played with us at Fairfield for a year. Staff Draft I give a raise to my HC, OC and DC. No changes made I have 31 mill in cap space and 15 for new players. I have coming free Fox because he wouldn’t resign. Do I want to franchise him? It’s be 20 mill. I may want to extend DE Smith (although I doubt it) so I’ll hold off on the tag. He won’t resign with me anyway. I head to FA after massaging my ticket prices.

The 2064 NFL FA Period #1
I review the players that might be available at 1.30. We have another stud OC who’s very underrated, there are FOUR stud OGs and we might have one available but…I have Cone who’s stud and Stokes who’s studly, so I’m not sure it’s needed. Maybe I could move it to OC if we really have a good one so I interview all four. We do not have such riches at OT however, so you need to look elsewhere. For talent. I interview two WR and then the rest D back replacements for Fox. I sign my RFAs – except RB Sapia, WR Baxter I have 45 under contract and 9 mill left for new players. I extend QB Joyner, (Who costs more now), LS and P. I have these players in their last year CB Westbrook - 7th year vet, wants 144 mill, 4 years, Drop in cap hit of 7 mill. I do so. Dude has three All Pros and 2 Rings in 6 years, so he is on a HOF parabola. I like to keep them close to the vest. SLB Dashawn Troutman – 6th year vet, wants 15 mill over 3 years. I hold off in case I find someone better in the draft DE Carter Smith – 4th year vet, wants 126 mill and 5 years, increase of 13 mll this year. I’ll hold off until post draft in case we find a replacement as that’s pricey for a great run stopping DE that’s as weak as he is in rushing that QB, hitting, or play D. I said he was probably just a temporary guy when I showed him post draft, but I haven’t found any better though. If he were half of that cost I’d do it and move on, but I’ll look for another place holder for him in this year’s draft. I extend a few backups like TE Chaplain. Do I want to chase anyone or resign my UFAs of Moy, Fox (Can’t) or the four backups? Nope! Actually…do I want to chase Drake? 7th year vet, 51/51, low picks, high run d, okay cover, 66 PR and 48 KR? Nope. I’ll let him and the 20 mill 3 year deal head out. I kept him around for a while and the UFA CB has 2 Rings, I’m sure he’s happy. OT Bennett is available as a FA Week 2 – Bennett signs with KC; Fox signs with NY J Week 3 – Moy signs with Miami. Is another of my players heading to Carolina and a 4th to Tampa Bay? Week 5 – Erickson signs with Detroit. Nope! Week 6 – Drake signs with Detroit as well Who’s ready for some drafting fun times????????????

The 2064 NFL Amateur Draft
Picking first is Greenville. They select OLB Scott Flowers. Who is on the board at the 1.30 spot? The last stud CB/S in the draft went at 1.28 to the Jets, wow that was close. All four stud OGs went and… the stud OC went too….sad… Alright so who do I like here or is feasible WLB Dillon Browder – Top player on the board, not great bars SILB Corwin Lowther – 3rd best player on the board, looks very good with the bars. DE Marcos Rhodes – 4th best player on the board, top DE, great run d and pass rush t, weak pass rush s, hitter and okay play D. FS Jimmy McElroy – Overrated, not great bars SS Kaden Reeves – Worse bars save for picks, very overrated Let me show you Lowther and Rhodes as they appear to be the best running around. Here’s Lowther. I wish I had taken Witt last year as he finished nicely as the best LB in the class. Is Lowther my make up pick? He’s good at everything save for hitting. I could move him to SLB and he’d replace Troutman. Now that I’ve moved to a 4-3 I’m finally getting the LBs I needed for a 3-4! :0 Here’s Rhodes, which is at DE and a bigger position of need as I won’t be likely able to keep the pricey Smith around. But Rhodes? He could be a Smith replacement and he’s good at run D just like Smith! Who do I take? Rhodes or Lowther? Or do I take a reach at S or a player like the best WR?

I grab Lowther, even if he busts (likely given the fact that three of my 1sts have busted in my Rattlesnakes era) he can replace my underwhelming Troutman at SLB

The 2064 NFL Preseason
I massage my depth chart and give some benches I cut SS Hocking as he’s moved down to resting and I don’t want the vet to drop in ability. Week 2 – At Baltimore – We edge them 21-20 Week 3 – Augusta – We win 21-7 Week 4 – At Cincinnati – We lose 17-27 Week 5 – Houston – We win 20-17. We are 3-1 in the preseason Rookie Lookie #3 1.30 – LB Corwin Lowther, Oklahoma State, 40/76; 45/75; 40/64 2.30 – WR Cedric D’Arcy, Rice, 35/56; 38/58; 40/61 3.30 – DT Luis Roller, Missouri, 23/67; 29/67; 29/59 4.30 - DE Courtney Linquist, Texas – El Paso, 27/60; 32/57; 34/62 5.30 - WILB C.J. I extend these players
OG Stokes I am not extending – Troutman, Smith Here’s Lowther, and as you can see, he’s pretty falling at most places save pass rush tech and run d. He’s weak pretty much everywhere else. Sad face. Here’s my 2nd rounder, D’Arcy. He’s pretty well-rounded save for adjustments. My goal when picking him was to turn him into my Glenn and he looks pretty good.

On The Green Page?
Just Linquist Rookie Investigation – At QB we had three QBs above 50, and all were in the 50s At RB, we had a 72, 70, 66, and then 2 in the 50s. Ours is the 5th best RB in the draft. At Fb there are 3 with a pot more than 60. At TE, 3 in the 60s, and then one at 50. At WR, D’Arcy was 6th best in a deep draft with 7 WRs in the 60s, and 9 more in the 50s. The Stud OC wound up with an 89 pot. At OG, the four studs are at 80, 76, 71 and 70. None busted. OTs were weak with 2 60s and 4 50s. At Dline, Roller is the 5th best DT and Linquist the best DE. Rhodes finished 43/61 that we were looking at 1.30. At LB, Cowther, even busting, was the 3rd best. The 1.1 finished 46/75. This was a good draft for DBacks and we were trying to get some talent here. We have 1 80s, 1 70s, 4 60s, 7 50s, and none wound up on my team… FS Childress I was looking at drafting wound up 42/72. Had I known that? Ah well… Good stuff!

The 2064 NFL Regular Season
After back to back 15-1 seasons and a 14-2, I predict 14-2 this time. It’s just good odds. And last year we had our backup QB start and win a bunch of games and keep that jo-mentum going. Week 1 – Chicago – They were 10-6 last year and in the playoffs and won a game. And yet….we are favored by 22 to win… will we win? Or cover? We win! But’s we don’t cover by 2 points and win 30-10. MVP is Brookins, 28 for 144, 1 score, rush score by Kennedy who was 21 of 35, 252, picks by Horn and Westbrook, FF, rec, and TD by Smith, FF by Carter rec by Ferguson, 5 KRb by Cone and Mangold. Week 2 – At Indy – We are favored by 17. And…we cover the spread 48-24! MVP is Kennedy, 28 of 34, 308, 3:0, Watson 7 for 119, 2 scors, rookie D’arcy his first, Brookins 30 for 126, 1 score, pick by Horn, pick six by Westbrook, 2 FF by Smith one by Barrett, rec by Ferguson, Troutman, 4 KRB by Cone. Week 3 – At LA Rams – We are only favored by 3. And…we lose 28-31. Kennedy was injured and Joyner finished. Kennedy is questionable for next game and will start. Joyner, 21 of 36, 219 and 2:1. Watson score, Hudson 7 for 102, Brookins 16 for 166, 1 score, rush score by Kennedy, FF by Ferguson, rec by Westbrook, 3 sacks by Smith, 4 KRB by Doebert Week 4 – At Raleigh – We are favored by 4 and…we thump them 41-14. MVP is Brookins, 26 for 151 and 2 scores, Joyner was 18 of 29, 284, and 3:2, Watson 6 for 174, 2 scores, Polasek a score, FF by Webb, who’s been quiet. Kennedy injured his knee and will need surgery to repair and he is out for the season. In Joyner we trust! I place Kennedy on IR and sign QB Mark LaStarza. Ferguson is also out for a few weeks. Kennedy's injury is for 25 weeks so it'll be for a while. We are 3-1…but can we sustain with Joyful Joyner for the entire season???

Week 5 – Green Bay – They have recovered their form and are 4-0 and we are favored by 4 and… we thump them 33-17. MVP is Brookins, 24 for 143, Joyner is 24 of 40, 249 and 3:1, scores by Brookins, Watson and Polasek, pick by Horn, FF by Westbrook rec by Horn, 7 KRB by Cone.
Week 6 – BYE Week 7 – At Greenville – We are favored by 8 and…we cover winning 30-6. MVP is Joyner, 22 of 36, 241 and 3:0, scores by Watson, 7 for 102, Brock and Polasek, Brookins was 31 for 149 and picks by Moore and Bernard, FF by Bernard, 6 KRB by Cone Week 8 – DC – We are favored by 16. They cover and we win 30-22. Brookins 19 for 131 and 1 score, Joyner, 34 of 49, 367 and 1:3. Yuck. Polasek was 11 for 122 and score, and D’Arcy was 7 for 104. MVP is Brookins, 29 for 131, and 1 score. Joyner was replaced later in the blow out again and was just 17 of 31, 318 and 3:1, scores by Watsonx2 and Brock. Picks by Webb and Bernard. 2 FF by Smith, 1 rec by Webb. 2.5 sacks by Smith Brookins is past 2k yards with a game to go… Week 17 – At Green Bay – They are down to 6-7-2 and we are favored by 9. Stats
Offense Passing QB Joyner – 12 starts, 14 games, 326 of 501, 3756 yards, 33:16, 96.1 rating He led the league in TDs by 8, but his picks were higher than I’d like. Dude had a 6 pick game… He led the league with rating too. Good stuff Joyner! Rushing RB Brookins – 392 for 2177 yards, 5.55 ypc, 12 TD He set a career record in rush yards. His ypc was nasty and 12 scores was tied for the most. Receiving Watson led out team with 15 TDs and 1200 yards, and TE Polasek was 2nd with 899 yards and 12 scores, both great for TEs. Joyner didn’t have the same connection with Eastman that Kennedy had and his scores and yards are way down. Brookins added 522 yards and finished with 2.6k+ yards from scrimmage. Good stuff! Blocking Cone dominated KRBs and led the league. I checked the record and it’s 61 set by Incognito for Vegas in 2021. This is the second best year in my dynasty, as Tatum once had 56 with the Panthers. Mangold had an amazing 57% block and tons of KRBs and was great! This was a strong year for my Line. Special Teams K Kanpurwala – 30 of 38, Long of 54, 56 of 58 Not bad for most Ks, but just okay for us! P Gonzalez – 69 punts, 47 avg, 33 in 20 Gonzalez was injured for 6 weeks and I think it shows. Watson – 1 KR RET TD LB Barrett led my team with 24 special teams tackles

Defense
Webb led my team in tackles again, and had a solid 125 number, with down-ish year for him with 3.5 sacks. Smith notched me an amazing 13 sacks! That was 1.5 sacks off he leader and the 3rd most in the league!!! Nasty for a guy who’s not good at that. Carter added 8.5 sacks, which seems the reverse of their talent level. After injury, Andersen was with 3.5 sacks. Greene got me 7.5 sacks which is a very strong number for a starting DT. Smith also led my team with 5 FF Pass Coverage For the 3rd year in a row, Horn has led my team in picks with at least 6. He started at S for Fox. Still no All Pro for him which is bizarre. Westbrook was 2nd in picks and had a great number of pasdef with 11, and Webb led my team in pasdef and notched 3 picks. Bernard, after his injury plagued debut year last year seems to have settled down across from Westbrook with 3 picks and 10 pasdef.

Team Awards
Off. Player of the Year – RB Lester Brookins – Dude set some records, dude wins this award Def. Player of the Year – DE Carter Smith – If you had told me that Smith was netting an All Pro and getting 1.5 sacks away from the league leader, I would have thought you silly. But…there it is! Special Teams Player of the Year – K Cris Kanpurwala – He had a down ish year but was the best option available… Rookie of the Year – LB Corwin Lowther – Most of my rookies didn’t start or didn’t play well, but Lowther notched 10 pasdef, 1 sack, and was 3rd in tackles at 78. He didn’t suck…. Heart Award – DE Luis Roller – You might have thought this was for Joyner again, but this was par for the course for the lad. But Roller? He subbed in for four games and grabbed 2 sacks. Good stuff!

I end the season and score a 68
The 2065 NFL Offseason Hall of Fame We have three from the Bucs SLB Rex Madison – Stud LB, 5 time Def. Player of the Year, 3 Rings. OC Chandler Macias – 5th round pick, 3 Rings, 4 All Pros CB Zach Foreman – 1.5 pick, stud CB for the Bucs, 3 Rings, 3 All Pros Retirements of Note – Rattlesnakes Kennedy did not retire. No one else did either Other Abe’s Boys None that I see What team do I want to try out? 14 will have me. Which one has the worst overall record? New England and they aren’t interested. Neither is Detroit in the NFC North to deal with my Richmond Juggernaut. Neither does Chicago, or Green Bay, all three of which have multiple Super Bowls, as well as 3 for Richmond. The 2nd worst team historically is the Browns, and they don’t have a Super Bowl to lean on. They were a pretty reasonable 12-4 last year and looking to build so no thanks… Who else? The Chargers? 4th worst team historically, just 13 playoff appearances, they were 7-9 last year so that will be harder to build around as I’m not heading in with a top 3 pick. Only four teams haven’t even been to the Super Bowl since this dynasty started, let alone win one – Chargers Browns Texans Eagles I could stay in the NFC and head to Raleigh. They were 7-8-1 last year Of those four, which are willing to hire me? Everyone but the Texans, who actually have a winning record of 376-352—2 Who has the most wins? The Panthers with 5. Alright…let me think about it. Had Kennedy retired?? I would have stayed with him and the Snakes.

What do Webb's career PassDef numbers look like... seems like he's had a TON of picks and pdef's in his career... especially for an inside linebacker...

We’ve be moving to one of those, and not Tampa Bay or Jacksonville or Greenville as they were my team, or have multiple Super Bowl wins…actually, why NOT Greenville? They have a big losing record. They were 4-12 last year and need some help. I have a great nickname in mind for them as the “Cowboys” feels a little off for South Carolina… however they have not won a Super Bowl but they have 4 appearances… Or, alternatively, why not DC? They finished 3-13 last year with the worst record? They are big losers. Just 1 Bowl appearance, no victories… Or, again, if you are heading to NFC East, why not Raleigh Eagles with their horrible losses and no Bowl apps or victories. They were 7-8-1 which is harder to build off of. Let’s do….. Greenville! And we change the name to the alliterative Grizzlies.
