When it dies it explodes in a bunch of spores that fill the air. When you breath them in you become extremely queasy. You throw up from the spores! As you are still impacted by them, more fungal creatures move in to attack!

Next up are TWO Myconids!

After using magic, and led by multiple attacks a round in wolf form, ntndeacon has eventually finished the Myconids off. Whew!

Oh noes.....

Someone has entered the SHRINE TO ARMAGEDDON

The camera zooms in...

There is a Great Sign above the entrance to the room welcoming you to the end of the world, to the Shrine to Armageddon. There is a shrine here, with a giant symbol of destruction. The walls aren’t chaotic, just worn and faded. As you arrive, there is a large button on the center Altar that reads in runes “Press This To End the Dungeon.” You may take an action to Push the Button.

Your hope has been denied. I am accepting donations to leave this big shiny button pressed though.

What sound does the Armageddon button make do you think? A really big boom or just a click? Exciting! But maybe we should just forget about it, let things go on as they have with rooms devoid of monsters and / or treasure.

a click no doubt just to make it anticlimatic...and then probably a big boom. Who drank the potion of armageddon in The Dungeon 2? Hoops? We don't want that stuff to happen, until maybe late in the game.

It'll probably just say the button can't be pushed yet. On a chronological countdown.

I suspect it kills whoever pushes it thus ending the dungeon for them. Either that or it boosts them to level 10 and they win. Either way I would push it.

It might bring back Sparkles if you push it. I suspect he met an unfortunate end.

My other thought was, "As you move to push the button, a giant fergalflah (see fergalflah wiki entry) appears!" So really, nothing to lose here, except missing the chance to see other horrible deaths the dungeon has in store for others that we'd short circuit.

And that's why the folks in the Chartreuse Block are running into some many problems....

Anyways, that digression over, let's move on to the Fuschia Block. Over there we have several folks at a variety of levels, from 1 to 5, and in various places.

Of them all, I gotta go with Chief Rum and Ziiggy as the most unusual situation!

Yeah I hear Sparkles. Are those guys ever going to leave the first level behind? I think they are seriously lost.

Well it wouldn't be a Dungeon without a few entrants getting lost, now would it?

Definitely not!

We had some interesting things happen today, from facing zombies and fungal creatures to other various concerns.

True!

So here's my Day 8 Chart, to give everyone out there an opportunity to argue about something:

Sparkles Top Five in the Fuschia Block

1. dubb
2. Ragone
3. ntndeacon
4. cheekimonk
5. timmae

Dubb over Ragone? Wow!

I know, but dubb has had two really strong gains all of the sudden.

True

Oh, and watch out for path, he has recently come roaring forward, and could be in the Top Five in a day or two if his arc continues.

Well, there you have it!

Now, on to the Cerulean Block!

Galron buddy.... push the button. I am 5th all of a sudden... Dubb and Ragone are slaying it. Or, if you don't push the button let's go find Danny.

Ok I'm back Gorm. Can we still open the iron maiden or do we have to wait until afternoon actions after movement phase?

Also, question, when you entered the twirly room, were you moving forward? We need to work our way back to lvl 2 somehow but if we go forward from where we are that's further away I think. And left, I think, would take us to the room on the other side of the twirly room (from my perspective at the beginning of the game).

Also, remember I bought a Djinni summoning scroll so we can shop whenever. If I was to sell the lock pick wand I'd be at 215g, 25 short of buying two horse figurines. Thinking we need the horses asap, especially with timmae and jag hovering over that button!

Has anyone been in a Level 2 room with a Taurian zombie and Zombie frogs? Because if so I am close to you and am willing to hook up.

Or maybe the zombie and zombie frogs weren't there before. They aren't here now because I killed them. I don't know anymore, man.
