Is it my imagination or is that chick from Myth Busters getting hotter? Didn't used to give her much thought but I swear she is looking better each season.

Everyone (except Akela) walks away hungry. They beg Baloo to scrounge them up some food.
"Well okay guys, follow me. I know a great place. There's a whole mess of banana trees south of the village." baloobear.jpg "Bananas?" "What's a banana?" "Sure! Lead the way." Baloo leads them off to the ruins of some ancient civilization. The wolves stampede after him barking and yipping happily that food is in sight. All...except one, who crawls out from under the bushes where he hid. He smiles happily as the last wolf bounds out of sight, then takes off his head. Beneath the wolf head is a cat's head. He opens a velcro front and unzips the suit and steps out of it. The grey wolf fur drops to the ground. He stretches his cat body, happy to have a moment to himself, then strolls back to his cave to stalk the mice that were scurrying into little holes. The wolves bark in the distance. The bear and the wolves have now reached the ruins and Baloo points out the trees with the fruit. "Now all you have to do is climb these trees to get the bananas. And watch out for monkeys." "Baloo, we've got no thumbs. We can't climb up there. Can you get em for us?" "Sure." Baloo climbs up the the rickety tree, which bends to his immense mass. The wolves start to jump at the dangling bananas. "Hey don't do that, now you're gonna make me fall." He jostles some bananas and knocks a few down. Father Wolf jumps up and latches on to a rather green bunch, pulling the branch suddenly. "Hey Watch it!" yells Baloo, "Look out!" He struggles to hold on and then slips and falls. The tree snaps back sending Father Wolf with bananas in his mouth hurtling through the air. Baloo lands softly on the rest of the pack. Tomcat.jpg The tomcat back at the camp emerges from his cave and strolls down the path, happily fed by his favorite meal of mice and rats and goes to put his costume back on. With a yawn and a stretch, he scratches himself, then sticks one foot into his suit. He hears a rustling in the trees above. "Bagheera? Is that you?" He looks up but sees nothing. He sticks his foot all the way in and feels something clench on is foot. "What's the--? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he yells. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1dKeeOipNY He drops the costume and pulls his leg back. There is a snake attached to it. It sucks more of his leg into its mouth. "MMMMPH SSSTND STHILLLL!", the snake says. "Akela! Akela! Help me!!!!!!!!!" He hops backward repeatedly but is tripped by the end of the python that's behind him. It winds around his arms and pins him to the ground. "Father Wolf! Baloo!" shouts the tomcat named Thomkal. "Sssssssshut up!" says Kaa, as he plops a large loop of coils over Thomkal's mouth. Hours later the wolves return from the banana hunt, happily fed. And then they see the horrifying result. They look at the costume, which was obviously the wolf they know as Thomkal, but nothing inside except dripping blood and cat whiskers. Akela sighs, "Is there anyone ELSE here that's NOT really a wolf?" tom-cat-thumb5515637.jpg [Thomkal was a vanilla member of the Seeonee wolf pack.] Last edited by CrimsonFox : 04-21-2011 at 05:20 AM. |

You've missed having mauboy in green and you should be listing yourself in the same blue as PF (my opinion). However, this was the day that jumped out for me in the color-coded results. Because we're down to two "unknowns" on Autumn. - If he's a villager, chances are there was a wolf on him in an effort to spread votes. - If he is a wolf, then the other wolves probably sold out to try and protect him (we already know MrBug didn't go there, but obviously wolves would try to protect their own to some extent) |

Me and the Mrs. and PF leaves us with 10. Depending on the seer scans (if they are still alive) it may soon be worth revealing. Of course the seer could wait until tomorrow (after tomorrow night) to be able to get 2 more scans in (tomorrow and Friday with BG protection).
Food for thought. |

My guess at this point, just a gut a the moment though (need to think about it more but wanted to post it for discussion), is that the remaining wolves are in this group...

Depending on the results of the scans....
Just trying to think this through so don;t mind me if it makes no sense... If the seer found a wolf it may be best to lynch me and allow the Mrs. to night kill that wolf. Reason being, if per chance that wolf is the brutal they could take out the seer with the brutal and then take me out tonight with a 2 for 1. If the Mrs takes them out I believe the brutal ability is lost and the seer gets another scan in. Thoughts? |

Bleurgh!
I think that if the seer has even two or three villager clears then it might be worth revealing. We're, what? Probably 11-3 at the moment? EF and Packer are both pretty much cleared and Zinto looks pretty good as well, chuck in the seer and, say, two villagers still alive and cleared and that leaves 5 or 6-3 and the bodyguard can protect the seer tonight. If the seer's scanned a wolf then I say definitely come forward. |

I've bunged Packer in as fully cleared because the only way he isn't who he says he is, is if the duke role isn't in the game. And that seems a big stretch. Eaglefan is pale blue but really he could be dark blue as well because there's no way a wolf fakes that reveal with Mother Wolf still on the loose.

Anyway, my time is going to be pretty limited from now on. It's a half day today at work and then we're going to be in the old farmhouse over the weekend. Hopefully the dial-up will work but it's slow as molasses so I'm not feeling too confident about being able to contribute much. (luckily you might say, given my current record).
Of those who haven't revealed I feel very good about Autumn (barring a seer reveal today) and Zinto. As far as I can see everybody else is pretty much a suspect, and I have to say that I'm looking like a big fat (well thin(ish) actually - although I am starting to put on some pounds. I say it's relaxed muscle though) suspect at the moment. As I won't have to time/won't be around to defend myself later I'm going to have to do it now (and no doubt make myself look overly defensive by doing so). Maybe everybody should offer a self-evaluation and defence? I've been pretty clear that I wanted to look at quieter people in this game. I think I have been consistent to that within the constraints of my schedule. My votes have been on villagers three days in a row - but if you think that Autumn and Zinto are villagers then so has Bhlloy, J23, Packer and EagleFan's. DT, if you are a villager, that goes for Telle, Zinto, Hoops and Dwardzala as well. While the game is going well for us we've been lousy in our voting - we've had luck and EagleFan to thank for the success we've had. I pointed out that I thought the switched vote on day one was to tie things up, not to save Packer. I wasn't sure about that which is why I asked hoops who he thought was a valid candidate to run against Packer because I was genuinely at a loss and I knew that hoops is a) a good villager and b) strongly opposed to run-away votes, which the vote looked like it was going to become at the time. I was pretty sure Packer was good so I wanted to find a decent opponent to run against him who wasn't just Packer-lite (which I intrepreted the other candidate J23 to be). Yesterday I think I did a good enough job of outlining my thinking. I was swinging between voting Dward or Darth Vilus, chose Darth but once Thomkal voted Dward then I followed him there as I wanted to get behind one of "my" candidates. Obviously I wish I'd just left my vote where it was but there you go. Dward did have that defensive "self-preservation" vote thing going on on day two after getting one single vote, which seemed like an over-reaction and made me happy enough to move onto him. Yeah, that's about it really. |

OK, so to get this straight - we have to lynch EagleFan today or both he and Mother Wolf will get it tonight? Unless the bodyguard didn't protect him last night - but we have no way of knowing if he did or didn't? That kinda sucks then.
I propose that we hold a vote as we would normally. Barring any other reveals and the way things go down Packer decides whether he wants to duke the lynch to Eagle based on discussion today. Unless we know the bodyguard is able to defend Eagle he will probably have to duke to Eagle as I guess the wolves can send in a conditional kill order (ie if Eagle is alive kill him, otherwise kill x) The seer scans whoever the vote-winner is. Unfortunately the plan falls down if the seer isn't around at deadline so maybe have a soft-deadline a couple of hours in advance. If the seer outs a wolf today then Mother Wolf will night kill them so we don't vote for an outed wolf. Does that sound like a decent plan to get some sort of voting record and avoid Mother Wolf biting the bullet with Eagle. My main concern is that it looks pretty likely we lose two villagers today that way. Another plan is to ask Mother Wolf to kill the person we vote for. Makes the vote more authentic and allows the seer to scan someone else but risks us losing three villagers in one day. Thoughts about this? |

Trying to look at day one with the fresh perspective of knowing who is good and bad. At the moment J23/Zinto/Packer are 2 a piece #143.

I think you could argue that this is trying to deflect the vote from those three. Read along and what happens? Zinto, Packer and mckerney pick up votes and J23 recedes from the running. Notice how JAG references what other people have been saying to validate his point. I think this pushes mckerney into more trusted territory for me but it does raise questions about J23. Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of time to follow this through. I'm off home soon. |

Ok. Really? So it's a wolf voting for someone but we know Bug isn't scared of putting a vote on a wolf and just reading how the day progresses I really don't think you can say it was putting J23 in a lot of heat. I dunno. I'm probably doing the day three-four Narkle fixation and finding an unlikely candidate. But at the moment I'm leaning to J23 or Darth Vilus. (DV pretty much for the same reason as yesterday) Wish I had more time - I'll have to see what develops under the day. |

Been thinking further about this. If we do decide this than another idea is to just lynch away as normal and then let the wolves get their nightkill in on Eagle. Advantage there is that if the bodyguard didn't protect Eagle last night then he'll be able to do it tonight and the wolves will be left in a "did he/didn't he" quandary. Also the seer won't be night killed tonight if they try to hit Eagle. So the seer will get another scan in tonight and will have bodyguard protection tomorrow night if he reveals tomorrow. Which, let's face it, he probably should. All depends on reveals today though. Hopefully we get a wolf handed to us today. |

I hope one of those mice was a big fat one named Jerry! I certainly expected to die last night, but not via the bad guys. Bit puzzled over why they would kill me really, but ah well that's life well death I guess.
good luck to everybody and thanks for a great game CrimsonFox! |

This is the vote that jumped out at me as well. My vote will be going to one of those three today (unless we decide it best to lynch EF, which may be a good option to avoid a major killing tonight) |

Just a thought.
Vote as normal today. If PF dukes to me the mrs. could night kill the person that would have been lynched. If the seer is on and hasn't come out prior to the deadline I would suggest that he posts his results as soon as the deadline hits. On the plus side, I do have reason to believe that I was not protected last night. |

I know that day one reads are not the best thing to go on but this person got on my radar that day with what seemed to be too much of an explanation for his vote and then getting defensive about it. Backed off him but his voting record doesn't look the greatest either (though I really seem to suck at reading into voting records).

Really good thoughts today, Narcizo, thanks. I'm not sure what the best tack to take on EF is. I'm going to reread the rules and ponder that.
I'm also not sure why Thomkal got nailed. I plan to read back through his posts and see. There might be a clue there. I think JAG avoiding those three voters to add Mckerney into the mix might be a worthy data point to work from. The other point of looking at those two voters on me is worthwhile, but I no longer really subscribe to the "wolves must have spread out" theory. It just hasn't worked well for us of late, especially in a vote like that with a lot of places to hide. But it's certainly a better gamble than other spots. |

Now having simply redone the work Narcizo did above, I realize that J23, Zinto and PackerFan were those three. It's highly illogical that Zinto would be a wolf, as well as PackerFan, so now I see the vote for J23. However, if only one of those three is a wolf it puts less strength on the argument that JAG was voting elsewhere for that reason. So I don't see that as a strong data point anymore

I guess at this point I have to hope that the seer is working on me and DT, anyone who's been getting a lot of votes. That makes the most sense to me. More useful for us would be to look at the people who haven't received any votes in the game so far and pull them into the limelight.
I'd say that's Telle, Hoopsguy, Darth Vilus, Mckerney, Narcizo, Bhlloy and The Jackal. Everybody else has either received a significant number of votes in one day or revealed. |

I'm starting to wonder if Gonzo was our seer
I know, I know ... it says "vanilla wolf" next to his name on page 1 .... |

I hate how quiet he has been and I have noticed when he is a wolf he is a lot more quiet then when he is a villager so hopefully this gets him talking.

Off to another quiet start today. I would agree on J23 being on a short list today, probably with DT. Both of those guys have been tough to pin down on much of anything in this game.

Jackal and Narcizo aren't getting any discussion, for unknowns that have put early votes on and let them stick all three days (and yeah I know I pretty much fall into that category as well). My perception of Narc is that he's playing his usual game but that's what any smart wolf does. My perception of Jackal is that he's a lot quieter than normal and isn't putting out the same level of analysis that he usually does.
DV would be another one I'd look at today, but he's always quiet when he's working. I don't have a read on him either way at all. DT is a funny one, he's done some stuff that has really peaked my interest - but he was nearly voted a couple days back and there was no movement at all to save him. I think we can do better than him today. |
