I still win the game if my conference gets the at-large bid and I don't really "win" any more by securing both the at-large bid and winning the national championship. I think Mr. Wednesday is more likely to win unless I avoid the sanction vote and I'd just as well assume that Swaggs, Chief Rum (if he's good), one other loyalist, and myself win then take that chance so that only Swags, Chief Rum (again if he's good), and myself win.

As the head coach of a major college football power, you have two goals. First, of course, is to win the national title. The second, more team-oriented goal, is to bring in more money for your conference by sending two teams to BCS Bowls.

The group who gets the at-large BCS bid wins, and the player who wins the national champsionship wins. I hope that clears it up.

I wasn't trying to fool anybody, but I just realized that there is no way jeheinz or claphamsa can possibly face me in the national championship game since none of us won our conference and there is only one at-large bid.

Dola, I still can and will throw the national championship if I am facing ntndeacon or chesapeake as I previously stated. Pass has confirmed that I can indeed throw it.

FYI, claphamsa, you don't have your vote in the right order of the "plan" (Racer and I should be switched).

I'm abandoning this plan if it's not changed by near-deadline.

Alright, I'm going to assume you're allowed to unvote in the public poll and the submit a different top 5. If not, then I will have to adjust my private poll accordingly so Claph doesn't get screwed. Anyways, Jeheinz, again vote for me #3 and Claph #2 and this will work out to the same number of points in the public poll as what I originally suggested.

Public Poll
1. Racer
2. Jeheinz72
3. claphamsa
4. Chesapeake
5. ntndeacon

No. If you change your vote, then we each will have 1-2-3 as long as Claph keeps his vote the same and doesn't change it.

How will the participants in the national championship game be determined? Will it be the top folks in the computer rankings, or is it based on the final rankings?

If that's the case, I'll shamelessly campaign for myself for inclusion in your polls. I am a neither detractor nor Catholic, and since I am already in the BCS mix, you can vote for me without having to worry about helping out the wolves.

BTW -- someone asked about Molson again. By the process of elimination (Lathum and myself were both cleared and St. Cronin was determined to be the detractor seer), Molson is the SEC's detractor. Voting for him is a bad idea.

Yeah. You are #4 in my public poll. I already made deals with Claph and jeheinz to make them be #2 and #3 in the public poll and I'm not going to back out of those. I haven't made any deals with the private poll (unless any of my posts were misinterupted), but I can say I will include both you and ntndeacon somewhere in them in hope that you might vote for me as well.

Other scan results?

I think your gut is right on this. Molson is a known detractor, and he had to have thrown his game to have lost to you. There was no other reason to throw it than to muck up your scan.

Catholics win if ND wins the national championship. Non-catholics shouldn't include ND in their polls to ensure that they don't get into the mix. Since you don't need to include 5 names in your poll, I think you are better off leaving that slot blank than voting for ND.

But that's not so. You only win if you get the at-large from our conference. Otherwise, you will not win the NC (because if you don't get the at-large, you are not in our conference), and either someone from another conference (you lose) or me/st.cronin (Catholic/detractor -- you lose) will get the at-large.

Racer is not on anybody's side but his own conference's.

I said, "Otherwise, you will not win the NC (because if you don't get the at-large, you are not in our conference),"

I meant to say parenthetically, "because if you don't get the at-large, you can't be in the NC game because you didn't win our conference."

Just to back up Mr. W: the only player who Racer's winning supports is his own, Chief Rum, and Swaggs. It's really not all that different from Mr. W attempting to win it for his group of people.
