Mornings in Vegas aren't normally necessarily pleasant, but there's a feeling of dread the last few days, each morning a new murder. This one is no different. You wake to news on every TV screen. Someone dead, garotted in a casino restroom. Disturbing images follow and you each recognize the victim. It's Hoopsguy!
Yes, Hoopsguy is dead. Hoopsguy was The Gambler. Quote:

Not surprised at all that hoops was telling the truth, time to go over the posts from last night and see how the votes swung out. Glad to have been right on CF there.

Yikes. I wish I wasn't on my phone so I could more easily go back and read all the stuff thrown against hoops. I think the Mafia is panicking with this kill. We'll see.

Sorry to see you go hoops, but the good news is that the paranoia that accompanies you is also gone! |

I'm thinking there was probably a Mafia vote of two on him so we can either attack that list or continue on with the list We worked yesterday which was the first day lathum betters. I'm curious to see what happens while I'm in meetings today.. which start soon unfortunately. 10-3 ill be checking in intermittently. |

As a point of strategy discussion for today...obviously I took home some cash from yesterday's vote. Can anyone give me a good reason why I shouldn't buy the night kill or at least make it ridiculously cost-prohibitive for the wolves by bidding it high?

I struggled with that same choice the day I bought Tank/Mario, but as the game has progressed, preventing kills is probably as useful as investigating people. Should be a fun decision for you to mull over. |

At this point, I'm willing to consider it. A lot depends on mau's answer to how he spent his money IMO, and the vote is just a way to get an answer out of him. |

i dont see it as panic...i see it as logic...he revealed as a roled villager so they took him out...WW101 as far as i am concerned, especially since they didnt know if his powers were limited to just the double vote since it isnt a published role. |

Thanks Martin! For those playing, the others that Martin didn't include weren't eligible to bet bet on every day, which is why he wasn't able to complete it.

If you're on the right track here and we can't trace his money, we should lynch ntndeacon instead, who would likely have more money left, since he would obviously be working with mauboy by giving the wrong scan result. |

Could be. If they're both bad, we really don't know how much money any of them has, since they'd been pooling money. Especially since ntn claims to have spent 3102 last night on Tank and Mario (which I believe, since if someone else won those services instead, they REALLY ought to let us know). |

I'm just basing that on Mau's claim to having $128. Maybe ntn has less, but I think there's a reasonable chance he has more and if not, $128 isn't a big deal. The way I figured the money pooling worked is that the wolves could figure out how much they each contribute but couldn't just freely give money to each other. |

Yes, sure. It was Mau. One reason I did not say it at the time, was he knew that I had bought the escort service night one. and he acted like he did not get what it was to be used for. At the time I was confused as he had obtained that info. Now I realize it was due to Destiny that he knew. (thanks hoops for that bit of info.) |

Ok, I see how we get to 128 now, so I'm going to assume for now these two are on the up and up.

If mau bought destiny, I've also got it narrowed down -- there was another combination that I was a little more worried of. So the last piece that mau likely spent his money on could probably be vouched for by someone else...right? Or is that person dead? |

Vote Saldana
He was pinging me throughout the day yesterday. He had some weirdness with Lathum D1 that might've been him fooling around as he claimed or he might've changed it when it seemed a sure thing he wasn't going to be lynched (he could've originally been there to support a teammate who had bet Lathum), and I feel like he's been throwing out a lot of suspicions, none of which to this point have been proven justified. |

It seems that at some point the wolves would pull the BG/scan with one of their numbers to clear either one or two people (depending on if they chose to scan a wolf clean or scanned a villager clean). We've laid off the scanners so far, and I'd say rightfully so, so it could be a ploy. But I'll probably look elsewhere for today.

True, either could be possible. If someone else bought the service in question though, it should be easy to confirm, assuming they step forward. |

I don't mind saldana as a candidate either, to be honest. Knowing that Lathum was a villager and getting a bad vibe from sal is a starting point, though not really a justification. Problem is most of the people outside of the Mario linkups right now have been laying low, so its going to be tough to judge them.

Agreed. If ntn and mau coordinated the combination of services over these few days as wolves, it's a pretty impressive job. I don't see myself going there today though. |

Is anyone else really bothered by how little info we have? I mean, why wouldn't someone reveal that they spent 1K on Tank Night 1? Or the people who could move money -- I assume those guys are villagers, since that service is useless to the wolves, since they can pool their money when they bid anyway.

To clarify, by "the people who can move money" I mean the people who bid on the 24 hour check cashing. |
