#4 is just an assumption, and I'll ask Pass to see if we can clear it up. I'm just thinking that a wolf can either make a kill or move in a night, but not both.

Possible I guess. But why wouldn't you have moved as a pawn last turn?

I'd like to think that my vote was based more on logic than pile-on.

VOTE ST. CRONIN
Seems to be a lot of suspicion around him, and his wrong evaluation on Jackal earlier seemed odd, like he threw it out there and expected Jackal to not defend himself or something, I don't know, just didn't seem right to me... |

If he's a pawn, he may still have moved, and is just not able to see anybody. Or, the pieces he can see, he can't identify as particular players. That would likely be the case for anybody on the black side, since only one piece has been matched to a player. Your analysis actually has changed my mind on Lathum: UNVOTE LATHUM |

vote no lynch
I'm leaving work shortly and will be out of communication for about an hour commute. I'm still working on whom to accuse, though I'm leaning towards Lathum, I don't know if I'll be home in time of the deadline, and I'd hate to be voting for someone who then does a reveal that makes it evident that he's (or she's) not a wolf....which is why I've been doing the no lynch thing... |

I don't see any way he could have moved as a pawn where he wouldn't have at least one pawn within one space of him, particularly considering the positions of the two black pawns I'm aware of. But I'm not trying to insinuate that my theory is absolutely right. It's just the best one I can come up with a reason for given the information I have and what has been posted in thread at this time.

Also, I don't think its clear at all that Lathum is a pawn, or even black, based on MY board knowledge. There are other possibilities.

Dola, looking at my map I can only see one, maybe two possible spaces where I think he could have moved as a pawn and not have another piece within one space of him. But that assumes some weird movement (or non-movement) from some other pieces.

Oliegirl was coming out very strongly in favour of Hoops yesterday - not just these posts but in her votes as well. My assumption has been that she's the black rook and that's why she was defending hoops so hard. However the last statement has really made me question that. There's absolutely no way the rook role would provide any information to lead you to belíeve that someone is good. It's a simple protecting piece. So what could possibly give her a good vibe about Neon? And the way she keeps going on about wolves not being paired and trying to cast doubt at the white rooks. Maybe she is the black rook and maybe the wolves are paired. However, I think Path's line is a stronger case at the moment. |

Path, I think you may be mixing up "knowing where a particular piece is on the board" with "knowing where a particular player is on the board." Only players with knowledge of where the white knight is know the latter, and black pawns, I think, would see the white knight as a black knight.

If you see something in the rules where a piece would not get the location of pieces around them please let me know, because the way I read it only pawns who do not move have no knowledge of what is going on around them.

My intuitions were telling me the same thing - oliegirl = black rook. One thing was that she was busy most of yesterday at work and hoopsguy was waiting around for someone to come into the thread and vouch for him. Also, the quotes regarding Rooks (that Narcizo quoted) were curious and led me to this belief as well. |

I guess I need to mount a feeble defense.
If I was a wolf why would I come out asking questions like that. You want to lynch me for having no idea what is going on thats fine I guess. I really have no defense considering it's day 2 |

I'll just say I disagree with you here. And reiterate, my vote is based strictly on the reasons I gave with it. I'm not saying I know he is a wolf for a fact, I'm saying that based on the rules as I interpret them that this is the vote that makes most sense to me. You are free to feel differently.

All pieces would see a knight (or any piece for that matter) as friendly or enemy. The black Pawn would have to know that they're black to unravel that the enemy Knight was Jackal's white Knight. |

OK, I'll hold off on oliegirl and see what she comes up with but I'll be very interested in hearing what she has to say tomorrow.
For want of a vote count I think it's looking like a Chief Rum vs Lathum run off. Lathum has been acting very unusually this game - the no lynch vote and some haphazard voting. Path's arguments push me in a direction I was pretty happy to go anyway. Vote Lathum |

I thought the angles on Chief Rum's post were very curious since I was nearly trusting Jackal at the end of yesterday. After today, I do trust Jackal (for now!).
However, I've also been suspicious of Lathum and was prepared to vote for him until the run after Path's (decent) argument. I think there is probably at least one wolf piling on in there. So I'll go back to my original suspicion: Vote Chief Rum |
