Which is a lot harder to do off a rebound with no set play, when the person rebounding the free throw is probably not going to be one of your three point shooters.

Edit: I've seen teams/coaches that have a set play for how to intentionally miss the free throw when down 1 at the end of games; it's kind of surprising that intentionally missing when ahead at the very end of the game isn't a more common strategy. I guess people are afraid of screwing and committing a lane violation to give the opponent the ball out of bounds, but anyone who's played 21 knows it's not that hard to intentionally miss a free throw so that it isn't rebounded cleanly

It'd be interesting for Wisconsin if MSU, Michigan and Florida all get into the Final Four. Why? Wisconsin has beaten them all this year.

Go Wisconsin!

But you didn't beat MSU when they were healthy.

My nerves are settled -- two beers in and have a couple shots sitting next to me. Opportunity for first final four in almost 10 years for Wisconsin. The last one was when Wisconsin beat Arizona in 2000 on the way to the Final Four where they lost to eventual champ Michigan St.

I haven't been nervous all day up until about a half hour ago.. My wife will just never understand what being a big fan of teams means...

Dayton needs to make a run here -- Get under 10 points with 5 minutes to go and we'll see what happens.

Really didn't make them sweat in the second half. Dayton didn't play that badly, really. Sad end to a fun season.

Would have liked to have seen Dayton win, but it seemed a long shot. Now on to my cheering on the Big Ten. Come on Wisconsin!!!!

Florida is tough. I watched them all year and they are just so damn tough. IMO the best team out there. I haven't gotten to watch too much AZ as a comparison though.

Congrats on that. Great little run (especially since it included a win over Ohio State!), and no shame losing to one of the better college teams of the past decade.

Oh god, that final four game? Now, can I say both those teams played ugly basketball, or is that just the pace elitist in me? That game was probably responsible for half of the criticism of "Big Ten Basketball" over the next decade.

Yeah, that was AWFUL Bennett Basketball then. Extremely deliberate... and on purpose. I didn't enjoy those days but that's what got it all started at least and then Bo came in the next year so....

So far, in my rose-colored glasses the refs seem pretty imbalanced so far with two weak fouls called early on and then them being able to drape over our dribble drives while WI gets called from breathing on them.

I know I should just be enjoying some good basketball without always projecting how guys will be at the next level, but it just cracks me up that people project Kaleb Tarzeuszeuski as a 1st-round pick. In a game and a half this weekend opponents have 26 offensive rebounds and he has 2 total boards. Fab Melo 2.0

To be down three at half with the way its gone so far... I will take it. Shots have been spit out by the rim a few times. Lets get a good bcuket to set the tone for second half and take this thing...

After the T Badgers did finally get some help and thats usually the point. Glad it worked.

Doesn't anyone teach these players to concentrate on the shot and not worry about whether you'll get fouled? Some crazy shots early in this half.

Dekker's offense has been a disappointment this year but everything else he does has been very good. He still has a ways to go offensively and that's all there is to say about a guy who was heralded as the greatest WI recruit ever...

The refs are missing simple out of bounds on the wrong team calls now..

Come up with a good stop on this possession. Gotta think this thing goes down to the wire. Free throws will matter and Az is one of the worst.. just gotta foul the right guys... if it comes to that.

Hollis-Jefferson with his second circus OMG lucky shot of the night... and this one he actually stepped out of bounds. Damn
And Traevon Jackson tries to go over their center...

Final two minutes... I'm a wreck.

Great look, just missed.
I have Wiscy in one money bracket and Arizona in the other, plus I don't care about either team so I am just really enjoying this game!

Decent look, but would have liked a better play at the end. Boy, I'm just pulling for the Big Ten here (Badgers are one of my more liked Big Ten teams after IU), but I can't imagine watching this game as a fan. It's maddening.

On that overhead replay it looks like that Arizona player took a dive. Didn't react until not only after the elbow went by but not until after he was unable to get the ball and his hand slipped off.

Considering how physical this game has been and how it's been called, I just can't see this as being a legit offensive foul.
