Good Luck Jedi, I left a bag of clothes in one of the better casino's in Reno and I wasn't gone but an hour and they were never turned in to lost and found or anyone else.

Out on the casino floor? Of course you're not going to see those back. You probably lost them for good as soon as five minutes after you left them.

Jedi, I believe, left his in his hotel room. That has a little better of a chance.

That's what I'm hoping for. Other than it's uniqueness, I don't think there would be much value to someone else.

Thank you. Now that would suck big time, hopefully it wasn't too much to get things replaced.

I just have a thing where, if it's not mine, I turn it in, so I kind of hope that others think the same way. If they say they can't find it, I'm contemplating on whether or not I should be a dick. I know it's my fault for leaving it, but, I would imagine they would have records of who cleaned what room or have some kind of schedule. Still, it's my fault for leaving the dang thing and I'm just mad at myself.

Yup, left it in the room. The bed had these tall bed posts and I had it hanging on one of the posts at the foot of the bed. The irony? I put it there so I wouldn't forget it. That worked out great.

Well, that place is just shitty then. I mean, they would know just from the keycard who has access to those rooms, and who would have been going in there in that hour.

I left my wallet on top of my car the other day as I was filling with gas. I drove off, and it flew off(of course). Anyways, I was able to locate it at a police station within an hour. But this being a small town, i had to wait 2 days for them to have office hours so that I could go pick it up. I suppose I could have driven back over to the town and tried to find the cop on duty, but it was like 30-40 minutes from my house and cops aren't always on duty there. It's not like I'd be justified in calling 911 either.

Anyways, gotta love small quaint towns, even if they can be a bit of a pain. I was wondering if it is legal to send the cops any sort of a small thank you gift, or if I should just send a card with a donation to the human fund.

I suppose you could get them like...baked goods. Something where they can eat the evidence that there was a gift...

Trust me, Casino's suck that way.

Caesars in Vegas, my co-worker had his laptop in his bag, someone switched it out for a phone book in his room (This about 2000). He had packed, went down to breakfast buffet, got back and grabbed gear to head to airport, it wasn't until he was half way to the airport when he went to pull out the laptop to get his info he found the phone book.

Caesars told him that they would investigate the matter but he had to file a report before they would do that and then referred to their policies of they are not responsible for items left unattended in your room.

Fuck it sucks waiting to hear if you will have a job or not. I interviewed to be retained for my current position on 7/13, was told that offers would be going to compensation on 7/20 and people should start hearing today. Myself and my coworker haven't heard a damn thing.

I might send them a case of 5 hour energy or something. Basically these are the worst type of cops IMO....the speed trap ticket writers. This town has a village green type setup and they sit opposite of where traffic flows through and probably write crazy speeding tickets. But they still were nice to deal with, if a bit inconvenient

There's a Horton's that has been going in for the past 5 months in our town. I don't know why it isn't open yet, as construction had to be done in May. It's just sitting there, taunting me.

Isn't there some kind of k-cup adapter thing where you can just measure coffee into it?

I would look at that as a good thing, probably telling all the candidates who didn't get the position first

Who is Minka Kelly? Is she related to R. Kelly? Is this sex tape filmed in a closet?

Diagnosis: Dead or Alive is a new show on Discovery Health. The difference between this and "Mystery Diagnosis" is that on MD, most people seem to live...on this one, the entire story may be told "from beyond the grave." Whenni watch shows like this, I don't know HOW people can watch them and not immediately think they have every disease under the sun...

A few years ago I was watching a show like that where they were detailing how a man became sicker and sicker of the course of time and nobody could figure out what was wrong with him. Turns out his wife was slowly poisoning him. Around the same time my Uncle (by marriage), was having the same sort of stomach problems and wasn't getting much help from his doctors. After watching the show I was about 60-70% sure my Aunt was trying to kill him in the same fashion.

A customer gave me a 50 dollar gift certificate to his restaurant this morning. I told him thank you and that if it was alright, I'd like to invite my wife out to lunch there today.

He was fine with that, even came in and sat down with us. Held the baby, chatted my wife up, and then went back to work. I found out later he took care of that bill as well, leaving me with the certificate to use at a later date.

Floored by the generosity.

Why isnt there an Olympics-themed text sim?

You pick a country, and get a certain amount of raw talent and coaching to allocate to different sports and you sim through meets training your guys up for the big one every four years. Doesnt have to even be all the sports, just Track and Field (since that's the only part of the Olympics worth watching).

I know someone out there thought that "Fistpumping Kirk Gibson Bobblehead" night was a good idea, but after seeing the actual motion of said fistpumping methinks that grin on his face is for another reason.

I had something similar to this idea back about 4 or 5 years ago. Discussed it with a couple people but never got around to learning how to program for it.

So, I see a Groupon for skills testing and it made me snicker since, well, I'm immature. It's for the Woodcock Johnson test, which sounds like they subject you to the two minute segment of penis jokes in Austin Powers 2 and see how much you laugh to test your immaturity. So, I go to wikipedia and it's even better

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodcoc...tive_Abilities

This can't be real right? The psychological community is doing some sort of long form performance art piece or joke, right? A test developed by two people named Dick Woodcock and Mary Bon(n)er Johnson?

One of the most underrated perks of starting a new job is the, um, new "scenery." After 5 years I guess I needed a change of scenery, and I got an upgrade. Bonus!

The one in particular I'm thinking of, in the employee directory she doesn't have a picture. I'm thinking there's a correlation between her hotness and either removing or not allowing a picture to go on the internal site.

My daughter was supposed to go to Myrtle Beach today with a friend. She woke up with Strep Throat instead.

Am I a bad dad since I am glad she's staying home and we can put time in practicing softball prior to travel tryouts on 8/11?

No.

Caitlin hasn't picked up a ball since her team got eliminated from our WS tournament nearly 2 weeks ago. Supposed to have practice tonight, but we're also supposed to get storms, so they might not practice. It's killing me, but the weather has been so damn hot and I'm trying to settle into a new job, so I haven't exactly been motivated either. But we play August 4/5 in our first 14U tournament, so we better get to it.
