Just realized, too. As I'm the law, I get +1 hp / level.
So I'm actually at 7/14 instead of 5/12, and should only be on the shelf for 1 day instead of 2. Nice. |

Doesn't seem like we're going to get any new information from anyone, so yeah, let's go ahead.

I am not as ready to give Coffee the book as everyone else seems to be. We seemed so sure that either he or Jag caused us to fail at decoding the book yesterday that I am surprised that everyone just wants to give him the book today.

And I was scanned clean last night. So unless you're saying that both myself and whoever scanned me (I forget who right now) are both cultists, I'm not sure what more you want.

There are still many ways CW could be bad - both he and Font are cultists, CW was corrupted after the detective scan, CW could get corrupted tonight. But he's the only person in the game who we have any good evidence for being a good guy, so I think he's our best bet. Who else would we give it to?

Who would you suggest Zinto?
It really needs to go to an antiquarian to prevent the person from being corrupted in my opinion. Britrock is out of action for now, which leaves me, ntn, and Coffee as options (assuming I could read it in jail). Neither ntn nor I have a better claim than Coffee does to being good at the moment. We have to put some faith in fontisian not trying to pass off a cultist as good, but I do think Coffee has behaved consistently the past couple days even if I think his reasoning for jailing people has been flawed. |

Second Worst Case Scenario (worst case is both me and Font are cultists) is I was converted last night (if the order of operations goes Scan -> Convert).
It's not the case, but just to note, please keep in mind that would still mean I was not the/a saboteur yesterday. |

I am getting ready to roll out for the Duke - Wake Forest debacle. Won't be back until late, likely sobbing and wailing. Now, as to the game, I promise some good hard scrutiny tomorrow. Right NOW, though, I lack evidence to target anyone specifically, and I'd rather not mistakenly lead an early run on a good guy. So, tonight, I am not placing a lynch vote at all. Let's see what happens!

Just my two cents that I think you're chasing something that isn't there with the working for the train secretly meaning something other than you just can't jail everyone and you have a higher chance of jailing a villager than a cultist which can hamper us with quests, though fortunately we had a good result today anyway. Anyone have a rock hammer I could borrow? |

Power went out for a while, just came back on but there are some differences. My microwave won't work, my light is barely registering and my pc is making a funny noise. I think my power is only half on or something, I am turning off my pc, just in case, and will be without for a bit. Just as an FYI

Let's process tonight's actions a little at a time.
The evening passes. Is that music you hear? What is that beautiful music? It's a famous musician from about thirty years ago, now past his prime. You remember that one song of his, but nothing else. He's set up stage and singing to the town! You all gain 3 sanity!

Midnight arrives and passes. Then all of the lights go out all of the sudden as a presence enters the town.
You assemble quickly outside, wary of the recent attacks and sleeping very fitfully now. The lights are out ,and suddenly, something attacks you from the foul air! Something lashes out and connects with two of you. fontisian takes 4 damage and DV takes 5. You repeat with some damage back and shots and weapons attack it. It decides to concentrate on one person and twin tentacles pierce CF and smash him for 9 damage. More damage flies in. The creature misses mostly, slays a local person, and finishes off CF ,dealing 10 more damage to him. You blast it. It concentrates on GoldenEagle and hits once for 7 damage. You hammer it and it squeals an unearthly cry. Up until now it made not a sound other than thwacks of physical contact. It stops moving. As the light begins to enter the area, the body has already begun to decay. The foul foetor prevents anybody from doing too much analysis until fifteen minutes pass and all that remains is formless flesh. CrimsonFox has died Damage: fontisian - 4 GE - 7 Darth Vilus - 5 Night has ended

You trace the creature back for an hour. When you do, you uncover a cave deep on the Typer Estate grounds. You decide this is too much of coincidence, and consider investigating.
Quest Decision - Today you must vote and choose which quest to do. You have two options. 1) Explore the Cave. 2) Establish defenses in Thurmond to assist in helping keep away anything else. Vote for which one you want by 1 pm EST. Whoever wins, today;s Quest action will be moved to the Lynch action and occur simultaneously with that. That means that, for today, no Convalescence can occur after the Quest and before lynch.

I laughed when i rolled CF as the one to get targeted by the creature and ultimately died. I figured no one would believe that I rolled him randomly.

Everyone hit by the tentacles of this thing lost one corruption point. Everyone lost one Sanity for fighting it.

It seems like we have an offensive choice and a defensive choice. I'm in favor of being aggressive and exploring the cave, I think with our sanity being raised last night and most of us pretty healthy we should move forward in unraveling this plot. My only point of concern would be that it's a red herring where we would take a lot of damage and not learn much.

Taken from Simbo's perspective - I would agree that sitting back would only allow us to continue to lose ground. I am inclined to agree to press our chances, I am a little leery of the no convalescence after the quest since the deadlines are merged today. I wonder if that means I could vote for Exploring the Cave, but as for my actual quest action - place somebody in convalescence (if we decide that would be an alternative). Does anyone else read it that way? There's also no mention of units of work today. So it may be one quest or the other - and that's it.

Just getting into the office, so haven't read all that much.
Book wasn't that interesting last night. I know something Nasty is coming this way, and from what I was sent, I should be able to help more in certain deciphering tasks. At least that's what I think it is. I also know this book is murdering my sanity. |

I wish the musician had held on for the performance. I don't think we were doing too bad on sanity, and Britrock had already been cured I believe.
I disagree with the suggestions so far. We have to choose between healing people and having htem help on the quest, so we're limited. And I think there will be real drawbacks if we leave the town to fend to itself. Who knows where the next attack will come from, but there's no reason to necessarily think it will be from the cave. Whereas we can be certain that defending the town will help. It might keep some of us from dying next attack. We may be able to explore the cave tomorrow. |

Re-examining what I was sent now.
Yeah. Bad stuff is coming, and I can decipher stuff we find more efficiently. That's it in a nutshell. It's not really spelled out, but what I'm assuming is I have some bonus ability now when it comes to doing certain quests that require translation/deciphering. At least, after re-reading, it looks like the sanity hit was a 1 timer. If we can get someone else we trust, I THINK multiple people would have the uber-decipher power after reading. Might be a good idea to move the book around. |
