Linear or not, my point of fact is that when you consider the roles we currently have, seer, SeerSpeaker and BG, the only one that equates at all to the Cunning wolf role (as written in the rider) is the seer, so we don;t HAVE a 3-1 advantage there, we have a 1-1 balance. They have the advantage because that role can't BE detected.

We MIGHt catch one of them, while they're pretty well guarenteed a free roaming member of Congress who can without retributoin gain favor and power.

It doesn;t matter how many new roles we throw out there, the Courts, IMO, aren;t going to let us carbon copy bills, so we're limited on just what possible roles we can create. We do not need 12 total Bills to HOPE to offset the few powerful roles they are after. Our only real defense against them having those roles is not ALLOWING them to be created to begin with.

I'm not disagreeing with the premise you make SC, what I disagree with is the theory that we can atually come up with a dozen roles that really DO much of anything. We don;t need that many, especially at the risk of giving away power that we do not have to.

Never give your opponent any hope of success. We have guarenteed additions and a way to guarentee NOTHING for the wolves. I really cannot understand arguing against that.

They don't have to DO anything. We just have to be able to assign them to non-wolves.

AHA! Thank you! In this case you are correct, since in 4 years we can clear 10 players the game will end rather quickly. I'm thinking CR might need to rebalance the game prior to its next go round.

ELEVENTH DISTRICT

Chubby, former Speaker of the House, was shockingly upset in his bid for re-election.

"Something stinks," said one Chubby supporter. "Chubbs was consistently polling well above just about any other Dem leading up to election day. This makes no sense."

A token Dem representative will serve in the seat instead.

"The fine people of the Eleventh District have chosen the worthy candidate PackerFanatic, we mean illinifan999, umm, well, I guess PackerFanatic to be their choice for the next President of the United States!"

Voting:

PackerFanatic-- 50.1%
illinifan999--49.9%

Voting:

ILLINIFAN999 HAS BEEN ELECTED THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!

illinifan999 defeated PackerFanatic in 10 of the 18 districts, and won 56% of the popular vote.

illinifan will continue to run the Seventh District by proxy, even as he takes the reins of the country.

The following districts have token representation, and their constituents are subject to the whims of those active political advocates who are closest to their way of thinking.

TOKEN REP DISTRICTS

1st District (R)
10th District (D)
11th District (D)
17th District (D)

The above districts are now under the control of the following players. Each of these politicians now have two votes on bills and on floor votes. The Wolf Vote is unaffected, with every active Congressman holding one vote.

1st District now controlled by Passacaglia (R) of the 2nd District.
10th District now controlled by jeheinz72 (R) of the 9th District.
11th District now controlled by PackerFanatic (D) of the 12th District.
17th District now controlled by KWhit (D) of the 17th District.

Initially, it was my intention to say no, no voting for any voted out Congressmen, as part of the price for losing your spot in Congress.

But I am going back on that. The three ousted Congressmen (Lathum, Chubby and henry296) can all still vote in Wolf Votes, still be lynched, still be night-killed and still hold WW roles established by Congress.

It just didn't make sense to me to have you guys sit around for two days waiting to be re-elected.

You are still banned, however, from voting on bills on the floor, holding any political office (Leader, Liaison, Speaker) or voting on any other matters on the floor. You are still free to participate in your party threads and are still not allowed to enter the other party's thread.

This, again, pertains to Lathum, Chubby and henry296.

Political pundits continue to question why the Democrat Party took such a hit in this year's elections. Some media exit polls may have the answer, though.

A high percentage of disenchanted voters said they were bothered by two things in particular: former Speaker Chubby's decision to veto the Wolf Security Act in Year One, and then the partisan censuring of non-Wolf Representative claphamsa.

"We need to protect our brightest," opined one such voter, who said she was still bitter over the decision to not pass the bodyguard law last year. Just elected President illinifan999 has a new Wolf Security Bill on his desk, although it still contains the controversial wolf cunning clause that led to last year's veto.

"I know claphamsa was no saint, but he was clearly not a Wolf member," said another voter. "I don't know why the Democrats couldn't see it. Every single member of that party voted him out, and not one of the Republican did. That's why I voted for illinifan999."

There were also plenty of reports that the Republicans brought out the big guns, spending extravagantly in some key districts, and in particular, laying it on thick on Democrat Presidential candidate PackerFanatic.

"He's a good man and the right man for the job," said one PackerFanatic supporter. "It's a real shame they had to get dirty when they couldn't win fair."

The voters next chance to make a statement comes in two years, but for now, the Republican Party controls both Congress and the Presidency.
