I still don't follow. Are you saying this dungeon's like a Pac Man game and exiting the right side of the screen leads you to the left side?

Color me confused, Jason Mraz.

I'd say go for it. There's a decent bit of info in the thread already. Here's my info:

Starting room: black rug with gold star (I think), option to put a gold coin on a shelf, can go forward, right, or left. (moved forward):

(forward one room): Can go left, right, or back to the starting room (moved right):

(forward and right one room): Can go left (to level 2), forward, right, and backwards.

Good luck, going to be tough to reconcile all the unconnected rooms.

I began in a room that was stony, with a star inlaid on the floor in silver. There was also a fireplace there (with nothing in it). I went to the right, and there was a room with the Dark Assassin in it. I went back to my original room, then right (i.e. what would have been forward when I first started). There's a forge in here, out of which an imp came and attacked me.

Umm, people send you stuff, abe tells you what it is right off the bat...well, maybe a few minutes after he sees it.

For everything? Weird. He didn't tell me what the potion is. Does that mean it's a non-magical potion?

Starting Room: Blue star magically attached to the ceiling, Basic Bath that you have the option of washing in. Exits: Forward, Right

I went to the right and entered an otherwise empty room with exits backwards, forward, and left. There is a small hole, too small for anyone to enter that the rabid cave weasel came out of.

I went left (could be forward-check with Abe on this as there was some confusion on his part) trying to stay along the outer ring of the dungeon and entered Packers starting room. He can describe what he did and where he went from there as I followed his path to where I'm at now.

Pass, sounds like a Prestige Item. From the rules:

Prestige Items -

Every class has a Prestige Item which must be assembled by a member of that class or an Artificer. Four items for each Prestige Item are located around the dungeon and can be found in treasure chests, Djinni Sales, and after killing a monster. There is no clue beyond the name as to what class a Prestige Item piece is for. You will know that you have found a component of a Prestige Item when you acquire an item with no description or information. Only a member of that class can use their Prestige Item, there is no way to cheat it. Once a person has all four objects that make up a certain Prestige Item, and they are either of the appropriate class or an Artificer, then the Prestige Item is automatically assembled.

Did you see anything in the room with the dark assassin?

Nope, nothing in there. I could have gone forward (which would have been more to the right of my starting spot), backward, or left (further in).

Poli, no, not like Pacman. The dungeon is shaped like a box, best I can tell. I've worked my way down the entire left side (arbitrary side name) and come to the bottom, where I will make a turn and then be on the second side of the dungeon. I'm hoping this will bring me to somebody's starting room so I can start to play catch-up. After my initial attempt to enter the dungeon, I switched to skirting (hehe, see, I type in pink and talk about skirt) the perimeter rooms.

Depending on what kind of potion it is, we might be able to work something out. See if Abe just forgot that you're a bard - maybe it should be identified for you automatically.

Here are my moves:

Starting room had a chute, pulsating slide. Exits forward (deeper into the dungeon) and right. Rode the chute, nothing happened.

Went forward, killed and was nearly killed by skeletons. Fled.

Returned to first room, began moving right (which will now become the forward exits as my orientation has changed). Dvergr warrior in first room, got pretty damn lucky, killed him. Exits are back or forward.

Moved forward. Spider room, killed a bunch. Told that this is a corner of the dungeon. Exits back or left. Moving left today.

I started in a room with a low-hanging chandelier and a burned star on the floor. I $*@!ed around with the chandelier for two actions, Abe busted my balls ; ^ ) and I went left. In this room was a fountain. I threw a couple of coins in, got some XP and got a cursed sword.

I got itchy for action and exited to the right [entering deeper into the dungeon]. This must have been another corner room, because my only exit was to the right.

The next room was an establish djinni [sp?] bazaar -- very large, apparently. Lots of merchants. I'll be happy to list the items, if you'd like.

Exits forward [deeper yet], backward, left [although I couldn't go left in the previous room?] and right. The exit to the right is dvergr-sized, and that's where I'm headed.

Sorry if that's horribly confusing.

Unfortunately, I'm a broke-ass cleric.

I had 40 GP, and I bought 3 days of rations and saved 10 GP for somebody to identify my next cursed item.

By your account you went left, right, and right. If you go right again, you will be back in your starting room.
