I don't think so. I've been vague about where I've gone some times, and lied a couple more times. You guys have been telling me which direction to go to get to him, so he's got a pretty good idea as it is, anyway. Yesterday, I did a lot of mapping of the area I've explored so far, but knowing that Brian is "7 across and 8 down" doesn't really help me if I can't fit that into my map. Also, it would really help me to know where the moleprints are -- it's easier to cut him off if I know where I'm going.

Okay Pass here you go.
The map we have starts at 0/0 and goes to 35/35 just so you know. So something that is 4 across if actually at cooridinate 3 if you count 0-1-2-3. I guess it would work the same way if we went 1-36 in our descriptions for you and be less confusing but wanted to go with the maps we were given

Counting down from the NW corner, you started at 22/20

The remaining moleprints are at:
6/26
23/7
31/3
30/15
27/21
24/29

I ask that my fellow spotters double check these coordinates to make sure I've got them correct.

Hard to say right now, but I'm thinking 23/7. He could double back though and head towards 6/26 again.

Eh, I'll take your word for it. Keeping me updated on his location is probably all I need right now. It *might* help if you guys could let me know what spots he's been in, just so I know they're passable, but I doubt it will be that big of a deal -- especially if he's stayed in that northwest corner.

So just to make sure we know where we are...the next step is for MJ4H to send us new maps, right? I don't think we are waiting on me, but I wanted to be sure.

Probably not -- I just sent him my turn this morning, which you probably sent yesterday.

Sorry, Pass, when I wrote those coordinates, I just went off the map. Both axises start with 0 so you have to take that into account.

Yes, waiting on me. It should be better now. Busy day at work after a very busy weekend. Won't always be this slow, I promise.

I'm OK with the pace, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being waited on...mostly since I'm here and could fix that if necessary. No complaints here.

I'm THAT good.

Actually, I think I just re-used the previous number of moves forgetting that I had to wait for a new set. Oops.

The slow pace has been good for me so far, I've been busier than normal lately. Hopefully after tomorrow things should get semi-back to normal.

Got 4 out of 5 confirmations to switch to emails. I went ahead and sent out the next turn via email. Hopefully before the next turn I will have 5/5. I can whip out a turn in about 1/10th of the time it took before using email, so this is groovy.

I had to switch my smtp for sending the files to gmail so don't be alarmed by the way. My school blocks most email servers so that we don't use outside mail at school and they can look through our school mail to make sure we arent doing weird stuff I guess. They dont block gmail's smtp server though for whatever reason.

I can't see him on the latest map but I received two in my e-mail today and I could see him in the earlier one. He's moving down the far left flank down.

It would be better if you did across first. That is the typical Cartesian way to express coordinates...and it would help me follow along since that is how I've been recording my own moves.

Awesome! Now all we need is for MJ4H to rely on Thomkal as well, then all he has to do is say they're in the same place, and it's game over!

I'll be curious to see the movement map after this challenge (or possibly after the game) to see who is helping you and who is hindering you. I have to believe that the Mole is loving seeing me still running around since a possible exemption means no extra money in the pot...

Pass, I can see him again. He is located at 1 Across and 15 Down starting from 0,0 in the top left hand corner of the map. He is within six blocks of two thumbprints to the east but he has significant ground to cover to the south in order to get closer to them.

Thanks, sami. Looks like I'm close to even keel with him as far as east-west goes, but I'm still north of him. Hopefully I can chase him down.

I think you have a distinct advantage over him in that he is somewhat limited which direction he can go by his current position.

I don't think he'll go north because it would take a very long time for him to approach the remaining thumbprints to the northeast.

I don't think he'll go east because he knows you're out there somewhere, especially after your comment that you're "close to even keel with him...east-west."

I think he almost has to move southeast in order to get closer to the remaining thumbprints. He doesn't know where you are so I think you have an advantage in that you can somewhat predict his next movements based on his current position.

Sorry about that, I really shouldn't reveal my location. I guess that means we know he won't go north, though.

Looking good Pass. Like Sami says, Brian has limited access to the rest of the maze. I would suggest you go 1 south, then west as far as you can go and south again.
