Ok, so the file is up. We will take a few days off, but will run the post-season on Sunday evening when I get home. Congrats to the playoff teams.

Shakil Sa'eed is SLOP's Kevin Brown or Barry Zito. Ugh.

Luckily, he's young, But what a year...

It appears that we didn't have a second-half collapse like last season.

I'd say Saeed is more like the Joe Cowley of SLOP. Look at the dive in his control potential. Some of us saw that season coming.

Is the draft Sunday night?

Ummm...if you have access to draft lists, then yes, let's do the draft after the playoffs Sunday. If the game doesn't give you access then we'll do it Monday with sim to FA.

Dude was solid. Had a promising career ahead of him. Then all of a sudden couldn't throw a strike. Literally.

The current draft class showing in game is the one we're using, right?

I should be able to export a draft list by Sunday. Everybody else good?

You didn't miss much, because I was out of town on Thursday and Friday. Just the regular season. Glad you got it back up and running though.

Oh, apparently a clerical note I neglected. The Elimination Series went back to best-of-five this year, but the 3rd place teams don't get a home game. The problem of two 3rd place teams making the Series seemed like the seven-game opening Series didn't really hurt wild cards sufficiently.

ALES GAME 4: Winnemucca 1, Cleveland 0 (WIN wins series 3-1)
NLES GAME 4: Carolina 9, Brooklyn 2 (CAR wins series 3-1)

Meanwhile, the Carolina Kings who managed to get into the post-season only thanks to a wild card tiebreaker don't care about your stupid theories. They win 3 of 4 on the road and advance.

After three years away, the Winnemucca Lake Monsters are AL champions and are headed back to the Series, this time in the hopes of capturing a SLOP record 5th Series title.

This is the 4th time Carolina and Winnemucca have met in the Series. In '48 and '58, Winnemucca bested the Kings and in '52, the Kings were triumphant.

It's worth noting that the Kings (.503) win percentage would've put them 6th in the AL this year. In spite of that, they steamrolled the #2 and #1 seeds in their own league and are now going tilt to tilt with the AL's champ who knocked off a 111-win team and won 93 games in their own right.

This is the eight Sunset Series to go the distance (the first of those actually was a best-of-seven ('38) and the rest were all best-of-nine ('39, '40, '50, '53, '55, '58)

Ironically, the last nine-game Sunset Series in '58 was also a Winnemucca v. Carolina title bout.

This is Winnemucca's 4th title in seven years, they've won more titles than any franchise in SLOP history with 5. Three different owners have piloted the Winnemucca franchise to titles since their inception.

The stupid game has arbitration on, but that's lame. I need to turn it off, but can't until the pre-season. I will need to through and extend the deals of the guys you have who are still under their rookie deals to make sure you don't have to waste cap to offer deals that I'll need to do work to revert later anyway.

File is up. We'll sim to the start of free agency tomorrow. I will have to take some time and make sure anyone eligible for arbitration is extended, but you shouldn't have to offer arby on anyone since that's not how we roll. (Just ignore it)

I forgot to trade Gettysburg's 2nd rounder to Chicago in the Ponty trade. (Thanks to Gomer for noticing) Chicago can either have the player drafted in that spot or Gettysburg offered up next year's 2nd rounder instead.
